I thought I had every artifact until I remembered this cave from other videos. I legit had to reenact the first time from each cave: Exploring every single path in search for notes, loots and the artifact. Thanks for the tutorial, champ.
No matter how many times I do that cave, I get lost on the water portion of it. I agree, its a great cave and well designed, It's probably my favorite on the island. I never get tired of your videos.
My first time doing that cave i got lost in the under water tunnel path didn't have any grapple hooks at the time and lost my only baryonx at that time to a Rex that fallowed a Parasaur it fell on top off me from the cliff above and i lost everything even the bed i had outside the bed wasnt expecting on my first journey into that cave a 150 female rex dropping in for some lunch wish she had called first

I got into the habit of using group whistles to avoid exactly that scenario you deal with in the beginning. I keep my attacking dinos in one group and have that as my default. That way I can freely whistle group attack on an annoying intruder while everything else can stay put.
I find by the time I'm hitting caves, I can almost always survive the first bout of megarabies just waiting it out as long as I don't get re-infected. Second one will get me if I haven't fully healed from the first one (or if I take a bunch of hits before getting infected) but a couple medibrews or some custom food is usually enough to get through that.
i find the artifact of the pack to be very easy, all you need is some hide armor and a bary/sabertooth/direwolf or similar. You don't need to go into the water at all so don't worry
I really wish there was more flexibility in the types of tames you could take into the caves (without cryopodding them), it would be nice if you could at least bring in a thyla. I have the same problem with the boss fights. Everyone is basically forced into either rexes or therizinos (if you are a solo player). Right now I'm trying to experiment to see which creatures are viable for solo players, but it's taking a lot of time to breed, even with 5x breeding.
@@taylor4285 Ya, megatherium work with the broodmother, but did you try them on any of the other bosses? How did you use the chalicos? Which bosses? Edit: Sorry, this comment seemed confrontational, I didn't intend that, just genuinely curious.
@@colewilliams3621 I'll eventually try with allos (I don't have any with good stats yet). My next tries are going to be with mutated Yuties (which should work almost as well as rexes since their stats are about 88% of what rexes are and good Yuti saddles are easier to find,) then Tek stegos (which I've heard work, but I'm not sure if people have used them solo), then mutated Managarmr for the bosses I can take them to (I'm guessing that fight will look absolutely ridiculous with them jumping all over the place).
Yeah, I used the megs on all bosses including the overseer. The dragon gave me a little trouble, and I lost all but three of them to the overseer. Same story with the chalicos, except they did a little better against the dragon.
Thyla doesn’t fit in some of the caves. Bary is best for most land caves except Carno island is best for thyla and cave of the strong is best with a yuty because of the Purlovias, but you have to bring it in a cryopod.
I'm late to the party on these vids and Ark as well, but I'm wondering why you didn't put the Artifact on the otter and then wait for the artifact to respawn, I thought you could do that, am I wrong?

How long will it take Phlinger to remember Super Dodo's saddle IS a smithy and use it to craft something or repair equipment?
Saddles can't be used to repair, but crafting is a thing yes
dudes been playing ark for years im sure hes aware of this fact...Some ppl like myself just prefer to use the smithy than the saddle.

I’ve done megatheriums and chalicos, and they both shredded the bosses.

yes, did it with a friend yesterday both on a thyla, the water parts aren't really long, take lazarus chowder if you want
