I think its a perfect mix of sad and then she does get more angry towards the end. It reminds me of Earth Song by Michael Jackson, it starts off so sad and gentle, then at the very end it just explodes.

i don't like it when politics rears it's ugly head in music. there's nothing wrong with the song itself, or Demi's performance, i just feel that politics should stay out of music. plus most Hollywood celebs can have a negative influence over the general public's opinions towards a specific politician regardless of whether he deserves it or not. most democratic countries have an anti-propaganda law that prohibits anyone who works in any form of media (from media corporations themselves to media personalities) to publicly voice support for a political candidate. it's a divisive topic that can ruin an artist's career. we're here for their music, not their opinions.
