I understand your point, but it was a distraction. I've been taking/organizing or singing during communion for decades. We generally tried and tried to keep the special music to aside, while making it easy for folks to take the Host. It gets confusing otherwise.

Disappointed that old ignorant people walked around behind you while you were singing. Not okay or reverent. This was lovely except for the visual interference. Please, ladies, redo the taping of this song, but without the insensitive people wandering around as if this song was not important.
They weren't old ignorant people walking behind the ladies. They were people in the procession walking up to receive the holy Eucharist which is the whole purpose of the song. The choir director set these ladies in that particular position solely for that purpose. The song is about inviting people to receive the holy Eucharist and the people behind walking to receive only enriches the meaning of the song itself. The ladies are not singing to "entertain" they are singing to praise and worship the King. So, now I hope I've enlightened you a bit about the Catholic faith.
@@angelamwatts Thanks for clarifying. They still should have allowed room between the singers and the giving of the Host. While I agree, I must explain that to me, it was distracting from both enterprises. Wrong word, probably, but hey.
@@sealyoness I understand why it would appear that way but in reality it was set up that way to enhance the Sacrament. The people were instructed to walk in that line to receive the host so don't blame them. The choir director is solely responsible for the position of the choir and the ushers are responsible for directing the procession line for receipt of the Eucharist.
