I loved the way everything turned out. As a retired designer I agree 100% that you don’t need to go out and buy all new things. I love thrifting and using what I have. I also think no color is out if you love it. I love dewberry. On the top part of my living,dinning and kitchen walls since it is more open. I know it is not a popular color for a lot of people but I love it. Your home should be what makes you happy. Also by thrifting and making over things you have your home is unique and interesting. I love your home and your videos. I look forward to them. God bless.

When you were down on the floor painting the bottom of the table... it reminded me of my dear departed Mama. She was a sewer, embroidery and crochet. Her motto was always that "the back has to look as neat as the front!". As I was not good at that, I never got into sewing. I , like you am a crafter, repurposer, a painter, gardener, decorator. Leave the sewing to someone else! What a great project for a snowy day, with Bertie and a fire. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. All of your rooms are so spacious.. with wood beams and floors, deep window sills, it's a decorator's dream. I actually put tiny screw in cup hooks on the backs of dressers and chests to hide and tuck my cords up. The whole room is stunning. I love the rustic, simple, natural styling of the coffee table. Its all simply Tracy and simply beautiful. And who wouldn't love a room called The Snug! As close to a hug as you can get!

Loved the fireplace mental with its chunky statement. The clock to mirror redo is something I would have never thought of, very classy. The coffee table makeover is really nice and adds a whole new look to the room. The added pieces and warm lighting gives the entire look a wowed statement as well. Hello Tracey! Watching your video and noticed I have the shorter version of that light you used on your console table! Which I found the whole set up very nice indeed. The color of Coco you used on the coffee table, I have on an antique mantel I now use as a headboard in the guest room. All of the colors you use, are my colors. I’ve been painting and refinishing my furniture treasures for over 50 years now and you still manage to give me tips I have not heard before. As always, smashing job on the video! ❤

Everything about your decorating and styling says casual, cozy warm and inviting. I appreciate that you leave "negative" space that gives the eyes a chance to rest and allow all the yummy textures to be eye candy. I have a large cottage style coffee table that the dogs did a number on with their nails as they used it as a perch to stare out the window. The piece has a factory ivory color finish and is wood except for the top which is MDF. I covered the top in woodgrain contact paper to hide the ugly. I never thought about a textured finish on the top but just give that a try. I'm certain the contact paper is going pull off more of original finish so I have nothing to lose.
I love your videos and your style! I agree on not following trends. I think you should do what makes you happy in your own home. I've been revamping my house and rearranging and "shopping" from other rooms and my thrifted stash. Haven't spent any money on anything other than paint. Turning out fabulous. I love Bertie. He makes me smile.
I stay away from “what’s trending”, too. My home is filled with things I Iove to look at, no matter their age or style. I also move things from room to room. I once told my kids that “Trendy” just means it will be out of style sooner rather than later. And move over, Bertie, because I would love to curl up on that sofa, too 😊
Absolutely laughed out loud when you said "I write my own music". Me too, I love decorating MY space to MY liking. I think this is why I enjoy YOUR channel. Your home is pretty, cozy, doesn't look "outdated" at all, and I feel like I could be comfortable in your home and actually sit on the furniture. I learn tips and tricks like candle removal and faux stone with pepper flakes. Your sense of humor is infectious too.
Oh Tracy, what a delightful watch this was! Such amazing decor ideas and techniques. I can't imagine a more snugly space to spend time in. How I love sweet Bertie's finds and how they compliment the deer head on the wall. Hi Maggie!! Oh it’s the only way to be, I couldn’t do it any other way! Bertie has the odd sniff and looks longingly at them but he is well trained and has a huge toy basket with lots of distractions so the antlers are safe as home decor!!🐶🤗♥️

I really like your ideas on those 2 lamps, removing the shades and wrapping jute cord on that plastic holder that the light bulb screws into. I am going to do that for sure! I received my fairy lights and my light brown florist wire. Love the lights will be ordering more and did 2 small projects using the light brown wire already. 🤗. I stay away from “what’s trending”, too. My home is filled with things I Iove to look at, no matter their age or style. I also move things from room to room. I once told my kids that “Trendy” just means it will be out of style sooner rather than later. And move over, Bertie, because I would love to curl up on that sofa, too 😊

Absolutely laughed out loud when you said "I write my own music". Me too, I love decorating MY space to MY liking. I think this is why I enjoy YOUR channel. Your home is pretty, cozy, doesn't look "outdated" at all, and I feel like I could be comfortable in your home and actually sit on the furniture. Hi Maggie!! Oh it’s the only way to be, I couldn’t do it any other way! Bertie has the odd sniff and looks longingly at them but he is well trained and has a huge toy basket with lots of distractions so the antlers are safe as home decor!!🐶🤗♥️
