The only time I've come close is videos like this when there isn't actually any interesting bass to begin with, and Julia just improvises all over it. It's not really so much of a cover as it is her just doing what she does best. That's not a knock on Julia at all, far from it. I just don't enjoy it as much, because the song itself sucks without the good bass.

Julia gets better and better. The change I see and hear is an ease in her playing that shows her skill and confidence is rising. She owns the pocket. Ooo, I luv her playing. Play on. Play on.
Aside from the fact everything else about Julia’s grooving is so awesome, can we just admire the fact she hearts almost every comment on her videos? I know it helps her channel but that takes some dedication.
