Stringing and racket modification clips are smoothing to watch. Thanks TW.
Looking forward to seeing this in the pro tour!
The video we have all been waiting for. I customized the RF01 Future and that played great and I also customized the RF01 Pro for me. I’m curious as to why you added the weight at 3/9 instead of 12. For one of my clients, I did 2 grams at 3/9 and a leather grip for his RF01 and he likes it. I’m going to try your setup. Thanks Troy!
The 3/9 o'clock location was mostly just personal preference, as I was looking for that added torsional stability. However, if you just want more swingweight and more plow through, with the least amount of weight added, 12 o'clock is the way to go. Troy, TW
I also like adding at 3 and 9, give some power but its more of a stability thing. On the handle however, i prefer silicone cause the weight distributes better. Instead of a focal point, it is distributed on 4-5 inches long on each tube.
Also, it would have been interesting seeing how much the balance point shifted. Probably a couple of points there.
The weight, swingweight, etc is very similar to my liking. The percept 97D has a very close spec and im dying to try it on court.
Great video, very well explained. Thanks a lot!
Customised 01 is the way to go
Excellent video, Tungsten puddy good handle weight strategy, RF01 and and Future Amazing Platforms, we can Add some NOS next.
So majestic
I want that racquet!!! RF01🎉
So how dis it play in the end, Troy? Did you like it in general and compared to Rf-01 pro?
Those Solinco butt cap weights also fit this racquet
Pardon my ignorance, but wouldn't a leather grip be better than tungsten to increase the weight in the handle?
Exactly what I did to my Vcore Duel G 330g. I put a leather grip which makes the handle heavy and also provided more dampening
So how did you scrape out the foam to create the cavity? And did that affect the static weight of the frame?
I just used the string awl to sort of poke at it and scrape it out. The material was very lightweight and didn't seem to make hardly any difference in weight. It wasn't an actual silicone filling that you will find in some racquets. Troy, TW
Would love to know if anyone has gotten an RF01 to feel almost identical to an RF01 Pro, but more headlight.
I was only able to demo both racquets for 1 week and didn't really do any customization to them. The difference in feeling and response from the both racquets was very noticeable. The Pro felt way more solid and my shots were more predictable and controlled than with the RF01.
I’m huge fan of Nadal. And, I like fedal friendship. I always think that if Federer was same age of Nadal, Djokovic he would have more than 25+ grand slams.
The RF 01 Pro might feel better with full bed of O-TORO 😏
😲
Oh no ,no ,no, no bro!! You forgot the TW leather grip!
My bad, I let the people down 😞 No but seriously, I didn't want to increase the stiffness of the racquet anymore than it is stock, so I decided to stay with the synthetic grip. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouseok now I get if you don’t want to make it stiffer. Good video. Thanks Troy
@@tenniswarehouseHow many RA points does leather increase the racquet?
Why not lead tape at 3 & 9? Just curious. After the application, with gloves if you prefer, you're no longer going to have direct contact. Thank you.
Lead tape works great as well, some prefer it over tungsten tape. We have our own branded Tungsten tape, so we use that, and it is a bit more dense so makes it easy for instruction purposes (less tape goes a bit further). Troy, TW
Don't customize it, its great as it is .
Everyone is different and has different needs. That's why you have light racquets, heavy racquets, ...
And there are platform racquets (the stock version is too light for some people) for you to add weight.
Do you really think the stock racquet is “great as it is” for a 5’3” 100lb female on clay as it is for a 6’3” 210lb male on hardcourts? Think, man. “Think with your head.”
