I don't see any comments from audiophiles yet. Probably because they all got a heart attack after hearinh "audiophile grade class D power amplifier". Because class D is considered the least linear and "bad" by audiophiles
@Durkhead because they are cheap, small, incredibly efficient (soalmost don't waste energy on heat). Which allows us to make a small-sizee circuit that drives a speaker at ridiculous volume without any need for cooling. And that is something we can make use of while building a amall FRFR speaker cab. The only issue with class D amps was their linearity but we've already figured out how to build proper filtering circuits and get rid of this issue. So as of right now you won't be able to hear a difference between a good A/AB and D power amp. So that's why they put it in here
@@distortionua i can def hear a difference between a class d amp with the highs cut out (ur shitty filtering) and a decent class a/b amp Class d amps and high gain guitars do not mix
What are the test riffs that you always use? They're rad as hell and I swear I've heard Ola use them as well in gear reviews so I was curious what song, if there is a song, they came from.
Yeah see the beautiful thing about what Fender did - is they came up with a reasonably priced option that was better than everything else and simple to use while looking amazing. I'm done paying $799 for a speaker - that's too close to the price of a decent tube amp. I could almost buy 2 Fender FR12s for that. Swing, and a miss.
I never tried the Fender FRFR, but the 1x12 is 499, and pretty bare bones by comparison. This can load IR's, has more in and out options as well as midi, so I think it's just a matter of what features you need.
@@TaylorDanley less is more for me. Give me something that sounds massive - is light - and I just plug up my modeler to it and go. I don't need more variables.
TONEX CAB is more powerful, compact, and has more features than others - not to mention it sounds better. With regard to price, the pre-order price is 699.99 and TONEX ONE or TONEX Pedal users get another $100 off (apply the coupon in your cart) so it is quite a deal for quite a lot more power, features, and most important - quality. With the ability to have 8 cabinet voicings at your fingertips and thousands of amps via your favorite modeler compared to a few sounds of a "decent tube amp". We did take a big swing but if you try one I think you'll see that we did connect with the ball solidly.
What’s the difference between using this and just a PA speaker on stage? Is it purely for aesthetics? My EV powered 12” speaker is louder. Granted it doesn’t have a Celestion or all those other features but I mean do you really need them if you have the pedal already? Also the EV Pa speaker is 399.99
TONEX CAB is much more than a PA speaker. If you have TONEX Pedal you can get great sounds but an FRFR like TONEX CAB is meant to complement modelers like TONEX Pedal/TONEX ONE and give an authentic experience like an "amp in the room" just like having a full stack on stage keeping the characteristics of the gear that is modeled and retaining authenticity. Basically like our site says succinctly: delivering unmatched realism to TONEX Tone Models or any other professional amp modeler or capture system.
I didn't notice because at high volumes I had ear plugs in. Also, anything at a high enough volume will give you ear fatigue, it's just talked about with studio monitors more because you are relying on accuracy when using them.
Was interested but it is way to expensive for what it is. But if you can afford it - good for you. I think 500$ would be a fair price, there is no included modeler in it after all...
There are 8 cabinet voicings/presets/IR slots at your fingertips, the amp control does quite a lot, very low latency (similar to the incredibly low TONEX ONE latency of < 1ms) and you can get it for as low as 599.99 if you have TONEX Pedal or TONEX ONE.
I think you wouldn't be surprised at that if the two were compared side-by-side. Sound-wise, since the features of TONEX CAB already stand out/ahead when compared.
I have a video on one, it was a while ago. I prefer this. The Headrush is more like a PA speaker, and this is more guitar centric, both in it's design and sound.

If TONEX releases a tube amp, the party might be over for a lot of big names out there.
Studio is looking crisp dude! Nice work💪💪💪
great video, really appreciate all the work you put into testing it in a practice situation.
Thanks!
Awesome video Taylor! And congratulations on the success of the channel. You've clearly put a ton of work into it, and it shows.
Thanks! I really appreciate that. I just try to make it a little better everytime. 🥳
It's all coming back to playing through a physical cab. Ok.

I really dont understand cause prob for the same cost they could put a class a/b amp and it would sound way better

I hate pretentious audiophiles. If it sounds good, I don't give a shit what the charts or graphs say.
$799 ONLY?? Waow! I can sell 3 cartons of eggs and get me one!! Thanks T!!!
Price is too high in my opinion, should be around $500!
Let's be real, it's more like 2.78 cartons..

You have to turn it up incredibly loud for it to be audible. So, very good.
