2:54, if you paid attention in Part 5, Waffle was hearing whispering, that segment with Womble is not only a call back to that, but it's a reference to the movie Predator (Arnold, Jesse Ventura, the OG).
7:20 Someone in my unit brought this up during comms refresher training, at which point the instructors pointed out that it doesn't actually matter if you say repeat. The comm chain has degrees of separation to the point that the arty guys aren't going to hear you say "repeat" unless you're actually person sending out the coordinates to them.
Very true, still something to keep in mind because combat is a witch and the one time you forget that will be the one time you are talking to the arty who will then proceed to unlevel the ground they had just leveled.
I think the reason why Soviet is rather liberal with his music choices is that he didn't monetize his YT (back when they didn't simply mute shit for having Sony/Warner music), as he stated a few times on stream that he makes enough money with streams and Patreon. His YT releases are more akin to a hobby and passions rather than a revenue stream

12:15 that is Teamspeak. Theres a global vc baked into the game but modders have made it so you can have local voice (Voip) and radio using a team speak plugin in game.
0:23 I love how Womble's tone changes mid-sentence. He got off-guard by "imaginary rocket launcher" working. 2:02 For extra trolling, Cyanide could've turned on "White and Nerdy" by "Weird Al" Yankovic.
Great reactions dude! Regarding the "different era of youtube" thing, Sovietwomble doesn't monetize any of his videos. All his income is from Patreon and Twitch subs (no donations allowed).
Womble's videos actually aren't from "a different era" he still does them like this today. He funds his work entirely through patreon and Twitch subs so he doesn't monetize his vids or give a singular f**k about youtube copyright shenanigans, hence why reaction channels have a complicated relationship with his channel.
the mod they are using is call Tfar witch gives the Long range, short range radios, along with the poxy voice chat you hear in the video but that mod requires team speak in order to work
@@gunawanputera6443 Correct. More specifically, he said very colorful things about black people. Also, Nevil was never a ZF member, he just gamed with them from time to time. ZF for all its "Edgy" early 2000's humor in these videos is actually pretty progressive. There is a not insignificant amount of LGBT rep in ZF Clan for instance. They throw around a lot of insults and derogatory terms in these videos, but only towards each other. They never go off on randos in-game. In later videos, most ZF have cleaned up their acts. Mostly because most of them stream now...because of Soviet.
3:01 I always thought it was a Predator easter from the first movie of predators with arnold Schwarzenegger. Since the scenes does happened in a dense forest or tropical forest. (Do correct me on that one please)
The reason womble can use copyrighted music is because his videos don’t have ads he gets his money from patreon subs and makes it clear he will stop playing a game if he finds out the developers are scum bags, it’s what I love most about him he sticks to his principles and can’t really be bought by anyone, he doesn’t even advertise his patreon which is how he makes money
bro this is the one video I remember. 9:00 purely because of the shotgun montage edit: thank you for reacting. and thank you again, for reintroducing me to womble
Everyone else: picks an AR platform for long range engagement
Womble: picks a Mossberg 590 that fires HEAT slugs
Obviously. It's the closest we'll get to an anti-tank musket.
Badgers, we are the badgers.
Soon ;)
@Krokmaniak badgers, we were the badgers.
We fight for freedom and democracy (and money)
@@jcm1722 and a restrictive democracy!
@YoloMenace001Where women can't vote
@Kip: The noise in the woods that made Soviet go "hmm" was the Predator Noise you cultural crouton!
I'm totally stealing cultural crouton as a funny insult.
r/rareinsults
(Stealing that insult btw thank you)
The Sofia miacova thing is not meme related. Its just Cyanide living out some kind of fantasy.
Definitely not Cyanide getting cat fished.
Sofia Miacova? The American-born model that pretends to be Russian?
"Cyanide living out some kind of fantasy" describes most of Soviet's collabs with him.
Oh this one is my favorite of the series , I love that Doomsday Round segment XD
Between Nevil's unintelligble rambling, and Soviet's moment of badassery immediately after, this is my favorite Arma episode he's done.
Baaa

Yeah, that's Teamspeak going "User has joined your channel"

"Negates Cover" is a wonderfully low key way of saying "kills anything anywhere near the target area."
I have yet to identify an anti-armor shotgun slug capable of piercing tank armor, but that hasn't stopped me from keeping an eye out.
I recommend his Alien Isolation (AKA Locker Simulator) playthrough after Arma.
Soviet was shitting his pants during that playthrough and I love it.
@@Lugia21 It's fine, it's fine, it's fine. (It was in fact NOT fine).
12:49 For discovering Nevil's true name.

Which is great. It also is a time capsule to how TH-cam used to be.

I was half expecting kip to say "Great song, too bad yt copyright won't allow it tho."
7:49 so i might be slightly off, but I think that roughly translates to "big flaming c**t"
"more fire, c*nt" (the last word depends of the context)
Womble popped off with those doomsday rounds

I love Soviet's attention to detail with captions, like at 12:20
The mad man hand keys all of his subtitles frame-by-frame. It's insane.

Nevil's name is Nevil even though it was a misread people make Nicknames all the time in the community especially if your name is something like that
You know if you watch carefully enough, the shotgun blasts are timed with the beat of the music. Not perfectly timed, but pretty close

YoloMenace001: Ooh it's time for 'Sophia'
These vids have definitely been a blast in the past for me because of moments like Sophia.
Can’t wait for part 9 :3
Unfortunately, Nevil was banned from playing with ZF because he said some cartoonishly racist stuff.
Like generic Asain on Asian racist stuff or more fun stuff?
Wait, for real? When did that occur?

Fun fact: I believe that I got into Sovietwomble because I randomly saw that intro clip, and I wanted to find the source for it.
That noise was definitely the Predator. Does that make Womble Arnold?

Some of the advantages, imo, are self hosted and super lught on the pc.
