  • I built this using all reclaimed lumber from a headboard and bed rails.
It’s a small bodied Les Paul ish guitar with cheap humbuckers and a slotted headstock.

Wood is simply a raw material. Scrap is abundant and usually free. What's more impressive is the mad woodworking skills to make something beautiful and functional from it.

@@dannylewisguitars you'll get no argument from me about that!
I sometimes tell people who like to criticize others tha Picasso and Rembrandt used the same paints that everyone else had- how they used them, on the other hand, speaks olumes about vision and talent.
The wood is not important, what is done with it is what matters.

Last couple of weeks i am listening to a lot of guitar video's. Especially les paul's. My conclusion is that if there is no real 50's or early 60's PAF in it, it does not matter what you buy. (and the stephens design paf's are almost impossible to get) Everything that is built nowadays is of good building quality. The Vintage les paul's (the brand vintage) do almost sound as good as a gibson les paul. For that almost part, i am not willing to pay 1500-2000 euro more. I rather spend that 1500 euro's on a good amp.
