Bette Davis is always worth watching and listening too. Edith Head was an added bonus for this interview. Thank you for uploading!

She was robbed of the Oscar for All About Eve.

Bette was VERY astute when it came to costumes. Miss Davis and Ms. Head had some exceptional collaborations 💓

Bette SHOWED Hollywood how to act and play a role. Perhaps why the studio bosses were afraid of her. Pure talent, pure class but hard to handle!

I ABSOLUTELY LUV the film All About Eve!! With both Bette Davis and a small part for Marilyn Monroe, it is I’m my top favorite films! I think Bette was cheated out of the Oscar tho.

Many, many years ago (like 55 years ago!), my mother took me to one of the first Universal Studio tours when it was literally just a tour of the sets and sound stages. We were stopped for something on the little tram they had and out walked Edith Head. I never forgot that. She was a legend and I've always thought her designs were amazing.

I'm not sure how many people here truly understand how much gold was provided by Edith Head in this clip.
The way she described her thought process for the gown is both sheer magnificence and common sense.

All About Eve is hands down the best film of the 1950s and the best film in Oscar history. And the costumes were magnificent!

Very good, retro like sonorous sound of these interviews. A little bit echoing. Gives a very special atmosphere to the whole story.

If Bette would have won for another one of her earlier roles other than the 2 she already won,she probably wouldn't have been upset for not winning for "Baby Jane". Personally I think Dark Victory is one of her very best. In Little Foxes her character was so evil, which she was always so good at. And Now,Voyager was a very popular one too.If she had won three back in the day I don't think she would have made such a stink about "Jane". She wanted to be the first with 3 wins. I know Edith designed a few of Bettes clothes. Edith was under contract at paramount for years. She designed all the actors/actresses there.

Edith Head was the best at costumes. She did the women’s outfits for most of Hitchcock’s classics.

Interesting how a ordinary brown dress, can look so great in black and white. Authentic black fabric doesn't photograph well, apparently. Interesting! Great movie. Still.

The famous 'bumpy night' dress. It is a chocolate brown heavy silk that Edith chose because it films very lush in black and white. If you look closely you can see the so chic ermine trim!

You're right. I don't know why Head thought Bette was taller. Maybe she forgot.
