We Took Our Dog Shopping! He Refuses To Ride Escalator!!

- Have you ever wondered what it would be like to take your dog shopping?? Teddy comes shopping in go outdoors with us as it's pet friendly, we had to take Amelia's best friend along for the trip and to stop him destroying our house while out haha.
We sold our camper van so have gone for a standard van and a tent now to hopefully save money for our next house!
Teddy looks happy to be able to shop with his hoomans. Smart pupper saying nope to escalators 😇

I know. As someone in the USA who travels with my dogs, I get so jealous of how many places allow dogs in the UK.
It's getting better, but it's certainly not everywhere
Guide dogs and service dogs are still been refused access in some shops
Its hit and miss in the UK, depends what shops you go to, normally outdoor type shops, High value ones like car or sofa shops will let you in and most good pubs these days let you in. Trains are also fine. Food retail shops are normally a no though - and as some of the other commenters have said, sometimes they even turn guide dogs are turned away which is illegal in the UK.
@@martynrich5187 As a fellow backward colonial (Australia) i can assure you that Europe is liberal as fcuk with dogs compared to us.

If I didn't know any better, I'd have thought the store was selling huge stuffed malamute toys, and I'd approach to ask where you got it. Especially the part where Teddy had to be carried down the escalator. LOL
Love the fact that you took "TEDDY" along with you to OK the tents as "MIGHTY MUTE" APPROVED! "WOOF, WOOF!".
I chuckled so hard when Mia was on the flatbed cart riding. Mia loves to ride.
I used to do that when I was young with the large flatbed carts at SAMs, as well as sitting in the normal carts
I wish stores in the US were as pet friendly as they are in Europe. Shane carrying that big furry baby down the escalator was precious.
There are some stores that will allow well behaved (not "bull in a chinashop"ones of course) dogs in my U.S. town. Up to the owner. Post pandemic, we shall see who allows what. This was adorable just because all in your family ARE! Amelia sitting in the window with her giant puppy! : D How fun you got recognized...you bring much joy, you do! I’m American and sadly, many don’t know how to behave or act with any sort of class here. We’d have people with unwashed Pitt bulls eating people in stores so no thank you.

Manchester is so friendly to pets. Respect to the mall policy. Teddy had great fun except the escalator.
It's more the policy of the retailer Go Outdoors then the city of Manchester.

Mia gets cuter everyday. She is adorable in that dress. I wish we could take our doggies into stores here but it's not allowed unless they are service animals. The US just doesn't allow them in stores. I think people would be happier if they could take their dogs with them. I know I'm happier with my Sierra being with me. I don't blame Teddy not wanting to go up or down those darn thing.
In the USA, you can take your dogs into Home Depot. Where I live you can also take them into some farm/home stores like Rural King and Tractor Supply. Aside from pet stores, that's about it though.
@@thesandqueen2559 we can take our dogs into most pet store & I've seen people take their dogs into Home Depot. I just don't go there much.
I agree. Mishka is an emotional support animal now, and I need her for longer shopping trips. I don't want to take her everywhere, but sometimes, especially when with others, having her would mean I could stay longer.

@@sierra7202 Mishka is my female. The only male I have had i would have taken everywhere was my Kinou. He was a Mal also, and like Teddy he was huge (128 lbs at his top weight in summer (laid around), 123ish in winter (really active), and he had a massive coat (here called a "woolly") that made him look even larger - gentlest massive "Little Man" anyone could have. He and Teddy could have competed and both won gold medals.

As someone who has always wanted a dog ever since I was a small child, now rapidly approaching my 40’s I like the idea of giving dogs a fuss but am always worried I’ll annoy the owners.
Teddy was well behaved in the store. He deserved to be spoiled by his father carried in the escalator . Mia was so cute by exploring the camping shop.

In Sweden there are some malls that allow dogs. But people with fur animal allergies do not like it and protest against it.

One of the people who live on my street has a red version of that cart she uses to wheel her toddler around in. Shopping too on the way back.
I’m with Teddy. When I was 6 I fell on the down escalator. It had to be turned off and they cut my new skirt to get it out of the stairs. Never been a fan since. I know where all the elevators are in the department stores!

I don't blame you, Teddster. When I was a kid I scraped my knee pretty bad on the escalator and for years I took the elevator instead.

That is soo cool the lady follows your channel. I got to tell you seeing Shane giving Teddybear mask kisses was soo adorable and watching him carry baby bear down the escalator too. Im still trying to find a camping van like yours somewhere in the US it looks perfect for traveling with dogs. Oh yeah that tent was perfect
When I buy tents is that it already with install firewood chimney (even if you never plan on using one), and it has good cross air ventilation. There is several videos made by channel Nicklaus in which tests several types of tents in various weather situations (Cold, Snowing, Hot, Humid, raining, very wet and so on.)

In CA I take my dogs everywhere. Love it, got them a stroller as well, made by Pet Zip. We no longer wear masks at the malls or anywhere inside. Mia looks adorable in her summer dress and trainers. ❤️🐶🐶🐶🐈👼❤️🇺🇸🌹
