    Defense seems to think a jailhouse snitch triggers an entirely separate trial for the jailhouse snitch. Ridiculous

      People get convicted everyday on the testimony of jailhouse snitches. On one hand, you would think "who can believe a felon" but they have pretty much nothing to do all day except talk. We all have the RIGHT to remain silent, very few people seem to have the ABILITY! And the fact that the snitch has convictions? None of the people in jail/prison are there because they were singing too loud in church...l think jurors just judge if they think the person is coming across honest on the day they testify.

    Nancy has conned her Defense team: The defense is blaming the State for not pursuing the contents of the "letter" in March (the one that triggered this whole thing), but actually......... (2:09) it was a letter to Nancy, and Nancy has the original. The only reason the state has it is that it was intercepted at the jail, like every communication to prisoners. It was then copied, like every communication to prisoners.
    This whole time the original letter has been in Nancy's possession.
    The full knowledge of the contents has been hers. The identities of the women named in the letter were in her possession, since she was housed with them. She could have run this by her attorneys, and headed off this BS. She could have simply told her attorneys who all these women are in the letter who are only identified by first name. She could have explained to her attorneys the backstory.
    This is Defense's problem with THEIR CLIENT. They need to get livid with THEIR CLIENT. None of this, "it's all prosecution's fault, and now we can't prepare the case so Nancy gets her constitutional right." This is on NANCY.
    Their client is a SCAM ARTIST. She is as much a fraud as the bunkie, but no one has ever held her accountable. It's about time Defense put the blame where it belongs: their CLIENT. The con woman sitting next to them.

    I started watching this with a completely open mind and nonjudgmental. We are now on week 3 and am at the point that if I have to listen to these two defense attorneys anymore, I'm going outside and scream as loud as I can! The State's attorneys are both very knowledgeable and definitely are a lot more professional than the defense attorneys. It just infuriates me when the two of them sit over there and giggle like school kids if they don't like something the State does. They have constantly whined from day one that the State is not "playing fair" and quite honestly, I think it's just the opposite. I am convinced Nancy is guilty, and I personally caught one lie that the niece who lived with her told. I hope the jury remembers Nancy is a want-a-be writer and dreams up stories in her head, so she probably had Dan's death all planned out. Most importantly, how is she going to explain why she was seen on video leaving OCI right after Dan died. She said she was home in bed, when it's very clear she wasn't.

    It’s only the “writer” aspect that has changed this trial from a garden variety trial into a “high profile” one. And it’s ludicrous because Nancy was a self proclaimed self published writer, not a successful one like JK Rowling or Danielle Steele. Nancy Brophy is a hack who sold very few of her self published books. And poor Chef Dan not only had to subsidize her pipe dream, but also pay for it with his life. Anyone of us could write some drivel and post it for sale on Amazon. But, alas National news got ahold of this “story” (CNN, NY Post, etc) and now we are in a trial grinding into day 21. Why? Because of a spineless Judge who apparently is scared to death he'll do something wrong "in front of the cameras". Think of the poor jurors, for God's sake, how much longer do you expect them to be in this purgatory?

    • @sleuththewild
      @sleuththewild 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      You have Nancy to a T. She never was a writer-she can’t write worth a darn, and she’s very sloppy-except in her imagination.
      Being a writer is something she conned the world into believing, just like the sham marriage and the perfect relationship.
      My opinion is the judge is doing a great job insofar as making Nancy’s case unappealable. Then this con of a woman can be put away forever.
      Yes, the judge is boring and maybe gives too much latitude to defense, but Nancy’s con becomes ever more obvious every moment defense throws up another irrelevant or incompetent witness.

    Another thing regarding the bobsey twins (defense attorneys). They keep forgetting to rise when addressing the judge. 😮!! And then when they see the state rise, they'll get their butts up, too. As in,... oops, I'm learning how to practice law from him.
    Such a simple, easy thing that they have trouble with. Is it any wonder how they're handling the rest of this case lol.

      And for what? A mere faux pas that may or may not be incriminating? Not worth risking her life over.

    TH-cam throws this video at me and I have seen it already, wish it didnt do that. I'm so sick of these two old bitty defense lawyers! Soooo hard done by, you would think they were overworked and under paid by the taxpayers! They arent! They are being paid by Nancy using Dan's hard earned money! They whine, they piss and they moan. Saying the State had 1 week extra on the case when they had covid is just going to far! I'm at the end and they both did the crying and tears for the Judge and he falls for that crap every time when these lawyers need to be reminded they decided to take this case and they are surely being paid well! Useless cheaters is what the two of them are. I bet any money their law firm has lost clients because of their actions in this case. People want strong attorneys not crying old ladies who are so unorganized, racist also with trying to put the blame on a homeless black man and lets not forget while they run Andrea Jacobs down with all kinds of harsh words they are sitting beside their client who shot her husband in the back 3 fricken times! I mean wow just wow how low these so called attorneys are going! So happy the states kicked their ass !!

    • @goose7574
      @goose7574 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I understand & agree that death is extremely serious (and justice is deserved), but... I would say that being accused of being a wife-beater and SA'er, is also very serious. Accusing somebody of R*PE is a horrific thing.
      As a survivor of both DV & SA, I don't blame J.D. for wanting to clear his name, from those horrific accusations. Having watched _that_ trial everyday (along with this one), I believe that Amber is/was the aggressor and should be removed as a spokesperson from the ACLU. The new recordings that are coming out, are truly horrific! A victim doesn't taunt/ instigate, chase, belittle, etc., their abuser. They try to get away, whenever they can, and try to keep their abuser "happy."
      I can't wait for Amber to be crossed, and I hope that Nancy takes the stand, but I doubt she will... My gut is telling me, she's not going to, in the end.

      During the morning session a man lawyer who was there to testify said "l understand you're closing this case on the 20th" to which the judge replied "we are???" I think some people got confused because it was two similar voices. But more than once last week, the judge told the jury that starting next week they would be using Fridays for trial too...plural...so l don't think the 20th is the end of the trial. Prosecution rested on the 12th day...the 20th would make 12 days for the defense...so maybe (hopefully) it will be the end of their side of the case.
