      I did tell a friend on Wednesday about the Modern Rogue when we went for a walk. He said 'So what is on it then!?'
      I said 'Truly mad-assed gangsta shit but it's heavily entertaining and there'll most definitely be something on there you'll enjoy as they're living on the edge between (entertaining) madness and chaos! They've got a new base and there's been some interesting stories been told about that already.'

      Ok. So, in my dream when Brian takes off the gloves, Penny tells him to be careful. At some point one of blades slices one of Brian's hands and the way I would describe the way he was bleeding from the cut in question as moderate. What happened next is the episode continued with Brian and Jason with stitches on both hands. Yes, Jason got sliced up too in my dream. Like I said in my first comment. Normally I keep stuff like this to myself, but with dreams like this that happen IRL, usually involve ME getting hurt. Those dreams I change things up so my getting hurt doesn't happen, but with dreams where other people get hurt in my dreams (not me, but having a front row seat) that's different. In the future, if I have more dreams like this I'll post them in the comment section or somewhere else that the Modern Rogue crew will see it.

      There's actually three types of "Ghillie" suit. There's a full suit which is usually made from a flight suit. A "Bushrag" which is more like a poncho made out of net covered in jute and a "Yeti" which is a woven makeshift assembly of natural materials. The "Yeti" has the shortest life because within a few hours the material will turn brown and not mix with the environment as well.

    • @annabellethepitty
      @annabellethepitty 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      at walmart you can buy textured blind fabric this can be cut into a pattern and sewn into a suit of sorts. cover with a poncho made from bird netting and accent with sticks and branches. focus more on breaking up the outline of your form.

    • @johnbeauvais3159
      @johnbeauvais3159 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@annabellethepitty The question is do you want something quick light or effective? Because there's a trade-off. Something light like a jute covered veil "cape" is very easy to tuck in a bag but won't offer as much concealment as a full suit would. Making something like the quick Hunter suits they used in WWI may be fast but less effective and potentially heavier than the other options.

    I don't know how I've missed this episode in my Modern Rogue wonderings, but, wow, I'm really glad no one got really hurt. So, yes. This makes a horrible, actual, normal weapon. That guy was in prison, though. I've got a tale to tell and then a way that I can see how this weapon would be put to use.
    One day, when I was in a high school, the bell rang, and we all streamed out of the classrooms into the halls to find a trail of blood leading from the science corridor to the front of the school. It turned out that a kid had been kicked out of school and had to come back to empty out his locker and return his books. He took that opportunity to put razor blades between his fingers, walk into a classroom, and punch someone he didn't like in the face. There was a lot of blood. It left a significant memory for me and the other people who saw the blood trail. I didn't even know the kids involved and never even heard the fight.
    So, now, imagine you are in prison. There is someone bigger than you, stronger than you, and with a whole lot of friends regularly beating on you and stealing your stuff. The guards don't care. No one else is going to get in their way. So, you need to do something that will cause significant damage, be showy, keep you out of the range of the person you are attacking, and that you can drop and be done with by the time the guards tackle you to throw you in solitary. If all goes well, people leave you alone afterward.
    "The grisly weapon was found around 1996 in ‘Santa Fu’ jail in Hamburg, Germany, in the cell of a drug-addicted inmate after his failed attempt to extort a higher Methadone ration by threatening a female prison officer with a knife."

    I think it would work better if all the razors were at the end of the shoelace with the weight. You’d have more precision and the momentum would all be focused onto one area so it would be a harder hit and deeper.
    Also I searched Brian brushwood net worth and it said “Brian Brushwood's net worth is estimated to be in the range of approximately $1527869176 in 2018, according to the users of vipfaq. The estimated net worth includes stocks, properties, and luxury goods such as yachts and private airplanes.” Direct quote 😂.

    The infamous picture of an electrical cord with razor blades on the end (the one that was confiscated from an inmate in germany) isn't a flail.
    It's actually a submersible water heater that prisoners use if hot water isn't available to them. Razor blades can't cause enough damage that can kill or incapacitate a person during a prison fight, and a flail is too big and isn't really concealable.

    Love the videos guys keep it up! In the interest of covering my a**, in no way do I condone making and/ or using something like this, but... I see the guys swinging the flail like a sword. My understanding of flails is that along with the crushing ability of the weighted end, fighters would use the chain to wrap around their opponent's weapon and pull it either out of the way so a buddy could get the kill or out of their opponents grasp.
    I can see this being very effective against appendages if used as a flail.

    It's meant to wrap around arms when they put them up to shield themselves or around their neck, not their torso.
    Also, you could tape/tie shorter laces to the end of a broomstick and have a two-handed flail if you're worried about cutting yourself.
    But honestly there are MUCH simpler and more effective weapons that could be made out of the same materials.

  • @timothyreed7241
    @timothyreed7241 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sorry, this is a morbid comment. I think the most effective way of using the flail would be to swing it having it wrap around someone's neck and once is wrapped around the neck yank it back towards yourself shredding the victim's neck. The nut on the end will help wrap it around a neck quite well and provide enough resistance that the razor blades will have enough force to dig into your victim's neck. With it wrapped around the neck and pulling back it would almost certainly be lethal on your first swing. I tried this without the razor blades on a fence post, wrapped in rubber to mimic skin, and the nut did a great job getting the flail to wrap around almost twice and there was plenty resistance to the point that if the string had razor's on it, it would dig the razor blades deep enough into the neck that you wouldn't be able to pull it back. You would then have to go up to the victim and unwrap it from the neck and hope your blades aren't so deep that you couldn't pull them out. I would say that this would be a great once use weapon but having to unwrap the string from the victim's neck means you would not be able to quickly switch from one target to the next.

    I think a more efficient way to lay this out is to trim the shoelace in two (at around the 2/3 mark) and then tie the shorter piece to the longer to make a branching end. Where the two pieces of shoelace meet, secure the weight, and then tie the razor blades to the three ends.
    That would make it function more like a cat of nine tails, allow the weight to apply more force to the blades, put the blades at the fastest moving point, and make the weapon way safer for the user because all the blades are at the very end
