    Gotta love an Audi design and sound. Personally, I think they nail the sports luxury segment by a strong margin

    Agree, the “coupe” version while not an ugly vehicle it’s not as well resolved as the Q3 and Q8 and I also agree it should really have ventilated seats at this cost. All that said though a really nice vehicle 👍🏼

    Are the tyres Pirelli PZero PZ4? Also....ponch calling $121k family SUV "affordable" goes to show whats happened to car pricing in covid. Everything has gone up 20%. :(

    I’d take the wagon version every time. This is just a tad odd looking plus I’m just not into SUV’s or variants. If money was no object give me an RS6 wagon.😍🤤 Good review again Ponch.👍🏼

    Lovely car Ponch, I like the Sportback , but my wife is a wagon girl. I take your point but I could live with it. I don't like those free standing media screens and would rather see an integrated screen and metal inlays are, to me , nicer than faux carbon. Despite that it's a very desirable car and I think that it's good value. It looks stunning, goes hard, but should have a 5 year warranty. Comprehensive review as usual. Thanks

    For a parent of two 6ft high schoolers, I appreciate that they can fit comfortably in the back seat, without ducking their heads.

    Just starting to see some SQ5 Sportbacks in Sydney roads and personally I think they look sensational just like the RSQ3.

    Honestly, i wont mind either this or the wagon but aesthetically speaking, this looks cooler than the wagon but has reduced space.
    As long as is a(n) (S)Q5, i' m sold. This is my dream car

    I have the petrol varient of the SQ5 2018. It has been a good car for the family in general. Boot space has been ok for shopping and a pram. With 2 child seats in the back we struggle getting an adult in the middle. Maybe a very small one but still not comfortable. With our daughter still in a rear facing seat she has to sit behind the passenger otherwise I cannot move the drivers seat to my position. I can sit in the passenger seat for only short journeys when my wife is driving (I am 6ft). The interior I loved in 2018 but is starting to look a bit dated now in my opinion. It felt pretty quick at first, then it becomes very normal. The lag is pretty bad, especially when trying to pull quick from a junction/rounderbout. It doesn't fill me with confidence unless Im in S mode. I was really disappointed with this update. The interior looks pretty much identical to my 2018 SQ5. I am a big Audi fan, I have driven them for years. I was hoping the updated SQ5 was going to be special. Secretly hoping over the last few years that Audi might have some balls and bring out an RSQ5. Instead they went back to diesel!🤦‍♂️ I have recently ordered my SQ5's replacement. And after much research I went for the new X4M Competition. I feel like I have been unfaithful ordering the BMW as its replacement. But if I'm being objective (and I think I can as an Audi owner) the X4M is a far more superior car then the current diesel SQ5 ( I'm comparing the most powerful Q5 to the most powerful X4) before you say its not its "direct" rival. If Audi would have been brave with an RSQ5 I might have gone for it. Although I did have a look at an RSQ3 and that was massively underwhelming. Just my opinion as an SQ5 owner. Great video by the way👍

      I think your review is pretty spot on.
      That lag you describe can be eliminated thought a pedal box tune.
      If your used to the power also get a tune and you'll be able to push another 50-70kw or so.
      I'm personally waiting until interior has been changed to upgrade.

    Leave the roof where it is. I'm 6'6" and I'm sick of modern cars and their reduced head clearance due to the sunroofs etc..

  • @Audios81
    @Audios81 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Most modern SQ5 yet. And it's great when a manufacturer listens to owners. Everyone wanted the diesel back, and thankfully it is. And these Audi's has truly become cheaper than rivals, especially BMW. SUVs always commanded a significant surcharge over a sedan, except Audi. This is priced as a mid spec M340i. Granted the 3er handles way better, faster, and better resale, this is a ton of vehicle for the price. It's absolutely affordable. And what's this "SUV Wagon and Standard" business?? It's called an SUV and SUV Coupé. Just not liking his reviews, always seems he's trying to find the right words and correct info. Like the "electric compressor like a baby supercharger"? This makes one think there's a seperate "something" that helps turbo lag, but it's not. It's an electric turbo that's helped by the 48v system to eliminate turbo lag, and a supercharger is very, very different than a turbocharger. Just seems that's he winging it and really doesn't understand cars, or isn't a petrolhead. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
