Jonathan didn't want Johnny to have to go through pain with Giornio, when Johnny can get an instant miracle with Josuke, makes sense.

Giorno can heal the injury but the only problem is that the pain of the injury still remains
That is correct since giorno wouldn't be able to make a spine since it's not really a living thing, but 1 thing is wrong and that is that josuke sadly can not heal he can just reverse what has been broken so basically if Johnny would have been paralyzed since birth i doubt that josuke could have done the same thing

Josukes and giornos healing works differently . Giorno heals and Josuke reverses things that happend anti entropy power basically. Regeneration hurt but is technically more effective on bigger things and giornos stand is more about creating life while josuke actually fixes nearly anything .
