My wife & I depend on my state pension. My wife cannot get her pension now until she is 66 & 3months (2026) we cannot claim pension credit until both are pension age. I firmly beleve Labour view us as 'useless-eaters' & want us dead.
I'm sure they do. They've made me worse of than a person on pension credit by removing the winter fuel allowance. I always thought that was the minimum that a pensioner should have.
I agree. That's why he's so keen on bringing in the "Right To Die" so all us inconvenient older folk will just take the hint and shuffle off before we claim too much in pensions and NHS care. I'm staying alive to spite him😉
I am over pensionable age and continue to work out of choice and pay my taxes. I find it very frustrating and quite wrong that well paid politicians can claim heating allowances on thier second homes and get numerous perks in the House of Commons from the taxes I pay when they are depriving pensioners of their heating payments. In my view, government should be paying the heating bills of low income pensioners and give tax relief for those who can afford to pay for heating themselves. Billions of GDP are being spent on ideological projects that are of little or no advantage - and even to the detriment - of the vast majority of people of this country.
Spot on. Why they can claim anything beyond outright expenses like travel abroad on government business, for example, is beyond me. In my mind, it is basically theft from the public purse. Theft is a criminal offence I believe🤔. Hmm, which dictionary are they all using?
I worked in a SEN school. At the end of terms, Christmas & Easter or if students were leaving families would buy 'Thank You' presents. Now a tin of Roses chocolate to share across a team was fine but any gift worth £5 or over had to be declared and recorded. The reason: it might be a bribe, expectation of favourable attention & care. MPs must be held accountable for every donation, it must be transparent. How do you remove a PM & Government that are self serving and deaf?
Any money or ‘gift’ given to a politician is a bribe. Every company I worked for would NOT allow anyone in the company accept ‘gifts’ as this was seen as a bribe. I remember a person giving our department a box of chocolates, we were ‘told off’ and told to return them. Why shouldn’t politicians be held to the same stringent standards? Starmer Saying, “well, it’s not illegal” is NOT a good enough answer.
I someone on Housing Benefit was given 100 pounds and the Council found out about it they would prosecute and I think the lowest someone did a jail sentence for was a £12 overclaim after it was worked out. It would be 2 tier Kier again
They could have made WFA taxable instead (which is fair). That would cut the cost to £800 million....Which he could have taken from train drivers & top civil servants..
We have a Labour councillor, Labour town council, Labour county council, Labour Mayor, Labour PCC, Labour MP, Labour government, Labour PM, yet it's all the Tories fault when things go wrong.
@@Robertus85 It's really saying something when a Government that has been in for 2 months is way more hated than the previous one that was in for 14 years!
Comrade Starlin wrote a piece for the Guardian about the pain and sorrow he felt for inmates while visiting a prison in Africa. What the piece didn't mention was these prisoners were the worst of the worst offenders Africa has to offer. Those are the kinds of people our PM has sympathy for, not the regular everyday person (he couldn't give a shit about us) Instead he feels pain in his heart for the treatment of grapists and unalivers in an African jail. Says it all....
@@SaintWill70and for being a tool that killed off 4000 pensioners this winter, that have paid tax into the country their whole lives. He should be in jail.
Well, they DO give pensioners £200 quid. Over £220 in fact, each week, for those with full NI contributions. i know, because i am one of them and tired of hearing ignorant and pointless remarks like your own.
Tough, but not for Starmer. Multi millionaire taking “gifts” from other m.millionaires. I don’t know how they have the brass neck to say they represent working people.
Indeed. And so what of it? Do you have to eat 20,000 calories a day and so cannot afford to heat your home? If you do, you will have so much bliubber that you will feel hot at zero degrees. I am also a pensioner by the way, and manage very well on 2,000 calories a day as nature intended for me. That costs only a tenth of the state pension to procure. As for heating, that does not cost the 90 per cent left over.
@@MarkPayne-ss6yu There are more expenses than just eating and heating in life or don’t you pay council tax, water rates, tv licence, buy clothes/shoes etc?
I've seen a cop taking money in a pub for letting it stay open longer on Friday and Saturday nights. But he's clean, compared to the sleaze known as the Labour Party.
The most inappropriate people to be politicians - are those who want to be politicians. We have almost entirely the WRONG people running the UK (inc. Wales).
I'm actually finding politics and politicians lies and their double standards more depressing than lockdown..I'm actually switching off because I hate their faces and voices
I've never been more disengaged with politics than now.....Labour and the Tories are all windbags, they talk the talk, but don't walk the walk. Both parties look after their own, not the populace. We've all seen the things these overpaid buffoons claim for in expenses, whilst providing nothing productive. The amount these clowns claim in attendance money, just for being at their head office is ridiculous, and would more than cover the heating payment for pensioners if redirected. If they were on performance related pay, they would owe the tax payers.
Meanwhile, in the towns we live in, there will be people returning to 4 Star hotels after a day out prowling (Or Deliverooing). Their tea will be ready. After that, up to their rooms, heating on full, windows open, for an evening spent browsing the internet. EVERYTHING PAID FOR. No worrying about bills. There's 8 BILLLION a year if they stopped this nonsense. That would plug the hole nicely.
They are clearly being brought to the country for a reason that we are not being told. The so called 'elite' have no intention of stopping the never ending flow. 98% young fit strong men aged 18-30 who are driven by a supremacist faith.
‘Freebie’ is the new word for INDUCEMENT. Such inducements should be illegal, because it is a form of corruption. Not almost corruption, it is corruption.
In the interest of balance, I think this is a problem with our politics in general. I would like to see a political landscape where all politicians are held to a high level of scrutiny and they should be held accountable for everything they say and do. The previous government did the same and it's been that way for my living memory.
I had a meeting with an MP. Present in the meeting was someone learning how to be an MP, I was asked if they would sit in at our meeting, I agreed. During this meeting and the discussion we had, the MP did something which I will never forget... Upon asking me to make a decision he turned to his trainee and said, as if I was not there... "Give them what they think they want, and they'll choose it themselves". I felt this was particularly rude and a lesson in politics. They are trained to manipulate the public, they are acutely aware of our legal system and how they are not held accountable and as such as with any individual or organisation they will abuse any system which does not hold them accountable for lying to the public before, during and after elections. Ironically we should look at elections as a form of comedy, for that is all the value they hold legally. Our broken system of politics allows for a potential leader of a country to legally lie to the entire population just to ensure they win that election. Then as we know, following the election they can then implement any measures they choose which as we also know are often in total contradiction of election promises/mandates or whatever other word you would like to use to describe legalised bullshit. I am not quite sure how our electoral system evolved so that its prime purpose is to lie to the public but I think it needs to change.
I was one of the fools who thought things could not get worse after the last government.. I will not deny how naive I was, but at least I never voted for these clowns.. Humble pie is not tasty, but it is necessary.
Yes exactly, almost every last one of them in Whitehall, & our local Governments councillors, are every bit as corrupt.. I didn't vote Tory or Labour in June & I don't accept them as our ruling government. As they're unfit & they should be in prison..
Good afternoon. I subscribed to your channel sometime ago and have not regretted it. I am in my 70's and retired. When I was working, my job required me to work in and around the legal system. Labour cheered in Parliament when they won the vote for stopping Winter Fuel Payments, that shows quite clearly how dreadfully despicable Labour are, I hope to see them booted out unceremoniously from power and will cheer myself at that occasion, also £40,000 was "donated" to a Labour MP for a birthday party, nearly 3.5 times as much as people on State Pensions for a year!?!
Labour hate two things, white people and conservatives. They don’t care of people who are white who don’t vote for them perish, also a bonus to them if they voted for brexit too
That’s without all the Africans being flown in daily on work visas and bringing all their family members with them. Many people not claiming pension credit, they have tried and in many instances they are a couple of quid over the limit, so they miss out! Oh! The figures are cleverly worked out by the DWP on their side, as for pensioners getting £400 spread out over next year, great for some but not for others who pay tax, the fuel allowance was tax free.
10% get it automatically so around 80% at a guess don't need it. What's hurt me as a pensioner most is the huge tax rises via threshold freeze and other things the Tories have instigated over the last 14 years.
My mother voted for them as the WFP was one of her biggest concerns. She's gutted now and worried sick. I told her at the time not to trust a word he says! Its insufferable watching this hypocrite lie every time i see him interviewed.
She will only lose the WFA if she receives a full state pension (as do I). Does she spend £11,500 each year on food? if so, she must be so encased in blubber that she will not feel any cold that this country throws up.
@@MarkPayne-ss6yu You are pathetic. For a start there are 2 levels of state pension with the old one being circa £10,000. Just found out Angela Raynor got her NVQ2 but couldn't pass the exam to be a fully qualified care worker. Obviously selected rather than elected. May God help us if that's the level of intelligence at the 'top'.
@joebaird5874 qualifications do not indicate general intelligence or emotional intelligence, all the piece of paper says is that this individual should have the experience to work in this specific field at whatever the level the certificate states. Life experience will almost always trump experience from a qualification (there are exceptions for very high level job roles lets say a brain surgeon for example but even still in that situation you need both)
@@xMrjamjam I would say she's in a very high role however her inability to memorise what she has read, and then regurgitate it - which is all exams are, is shocking. I see no evidence that this woman has either general, emotional or academic intelligence so obviously put into that position as a puppet for the WEF.
Let's be honest she's Starmer's John Prescott, the "working class one" to make up for all the middle class ones; Angela Rayner is way out of her depth.
“We are now likely to move on from that commitment”. Beautiful. In sickness and in health? I am now likely to move on from that commitment. Such a beautiful person.
Starmer said he couldn't account for the 22 billion missing, or where it went, I'd call that worthy of a public inquiry, not internal, smells of embezzlement, and fraud, but claim 1.7 billion for heating allowences is going to balance the books of the country.

After he clearly showed his contempt for pensioners, he only then went on to waffle about his reasons. Neither Starmer and his deputy fuherer Rayner were capable of giving a straight answer in opposition and now they're in power they have absolutely no reason to be honest.
How did 40+ billion in May get to be 22 billion when Labour took over? Meaning Conservatives cleared 20 billion while not touching OAP fuel payments… We need this answering by Kier Starmer.
@onawaitlist5038 tories were borrowing money they knew they couldnt afford to pay back, labour is now trying to undo theor damage so dont be angry when labour has to make some tough decisions. Things tend to get worse before they get better but atleast we arent under the tories anymore. I've worked in crown court for long enough to see how barristers use words, without having to lie outright. I'm pleased that you are calling out people who employ this type of false speak. Thanks, go for the throats! Jo.
The background is irrelevant. It does not matter what Labour inherited. Labour chose to solve the problem by cutting the winter fuel payments - they made this decision, they chose this solution. It is all on them. They could have made other choices or found another solution. Labour chose not to.

What they say on the campaign trail should be binding. They are being voted for on the basis of what they promise. If those things are proven to be false after they are voted in, they are, in my view, guilty of defrauding the public.
I don't for anyone on what they say they are going to do if elected for this very reason. Look at track record for what the parties deliver and their priorities. I tell people: "if you believe a politician is going to deliver on what they promise when campaigning, you are being delusional".
I have a feeling that after how Starmer reacted against the British people during the protests whatsoever he does now is going to attract criticism. It was such an important time coming shortly after numerous stabbings and child abuse incidents, Starmer chose his side and I won't forget that

Absolutely, in fact if we returned to our pre Blair common sense policy of controlled migration instead of this uncontrolled migration of majority unskilled workers and their dependents we'd save a fortune! The OBR has released data showing that from the time the majority of migrants set foot in the uk until they are 81 years of age, they will cost the tax payer £465,000 EACH!! It would be interesting to know how many elderly will be taken to hospital because they are afraid to put their heating on, and what the cost will be, ambulance, using the 999 system, hospital stay, long term illness because of same, care package now needed as they will be deemed unfit to care for themselves or and social services now needed to get involved,, probably ambulance to take them home or indeed some maybe need to go to a care home, the repercussions could be pretty expensive, that money just might be the difference between people putting on their heating and worried they may not be able to pay and it has also been muted fuel costs will rise again this year.
All to the good! The NHS will experience Disaster Faster and falling public support, opening up the door to free market 'solutions', such as Sir Kid Starver promoted in this video. Why will they be "afraid" to put their heating on? The full state pension (and if one does not have that one receives Pension Credit which is actually rather better) is £11,500 this year. That is more than sufficient to both feed and heat oneself in an average property....with plenty left over.

Any money or ‘gift’ given to a politician is a bribe. Every company I worked for would NOT allow anyone in the company accept ‘gifts’ as this was seen as a bribe.

If you are not party political why would you be disappointed in Kier Starmer. You must have had some expectations from him
The New Statesman TV series was meant as a parody. Now it seems to be a training video.
You’re always spot on …Well done.
That is why Reform called theirs a contract, not a manifesto. They said a contract is binding, a manifesto is just lies.
I have a feeling that after how Starmer reacted against the British people during the protests whatsoever he does now is going to attract criticism. It was such an important time coming shortly after numerous stabbings and child abuse incidents, Starmer chose his side and I won't forget that
Unfortunately, Starmer has also learned that it is possible to crush dissent by characterizing it as "far right" and deploying aggressive Policing. Expect to see more of the same next time we see protests.
@@jrd33 yes he may argue that it quelled the fire, but the discontent is still there festering away, more boats arriving every day, 1 million extra people each year, the problems will increase
1 billion for zelensky nothing for you
95% of which probably ends up in the hands of multi millionaires.
@@CelticSaint they wash their money by sending it abroad right under our noses.
Is there a petition yet to call for means testing of subsidies for MPs second homes.? It still blows my mind that MPs can get a 3 course meal in the Houses pf Parliament restraunt for about a tenner thanks to our tax money... They get Both Heating and Eating at our expense.
I am reminded of the final pages of Animal Farm where the animals could no longer see a difference between the pigs and the farmers
You have to wonder why Lord Alli has donated all these "gifts" to members of the Labour front bench. It would seem to me he is trying to gain favour, possibly to push a certain agenda which he is in favour of
Here in South Africa we have our government still blaming apartheid for their mismanagement, which ended 30 years ago. Welcome to our world.
bending and twisting of the truth....USA here.....that seems to be the normal thing over here also....good luck
normal everywhere
@@thebarnaclebill yup
I feel for you! I have seen some of your candidates! Best wishes sent to you, it sounds as bad for you as it does here for us!
Well we need to change it
@@VampExpress unfortunately so....🤕🤕
All mps should start on minimum wage, see how many stay
their wage is chump change to them. lobbying and donations is where the money is
They have money other ways
Now, that would be interesting.
you speak sense and truth without biased views and i must say that your opinions and observations make alot of sense, im always screaming at the tv when parliament is on, you have been asked a question, why cant you just answer it like the people watching really want instead of dodging and diving all over the place, their problem is the truth would hurt them ohh so much
I am not a lawyer so I don't use lawyer speak. Anyone who ''gifts'' a politician, especially leaders has an agenda, FACT.
Starmer's gifts declared so far = 4 people's yearly wage & raynor's vanity photographer = 6 people's state pension 🤔
Excellent work all well spotted and detailed perfectly Daniel
His immidiate reaction to Sussanah was literally "Tough"...wtf?
Starmer was a top barrister!..you'd REALLY think he'd be a better liar IF he's going to lie!..at the very least he KNEW we'd fact check surely?🙄..and try to be consistent in his lies..I hate him..
Like Blair he is nowhere near as clever as he imagines he is.
He knew we'd fact check, he doesn't GAF
He lied his way into office. Now it matters less as nobody can change anything
I was under the impression that bending and twisting the truth is what barristers did best !
VOTE REFORM NEXT ELECTION, URGE EVERYONE TO DO IT! Last time everyone was sat on the fence they were encouraged by FPTP, and did not think Reform would get 4 million votes.
And split the vote again to give labour another 4 years 🤔🫣
Reform reform. All the way @@Desmond.TuTu.
Don't be ridiculous. Farage is a wolf
I guarantee that reform do the same thing. Lie to get in then fuck everything up
@@Desmond.TuTu. That mentality got labour in, next time a vote for Conservatives will be a vote for labour.
Most working class people did not vote, a lot of young people actually voted Reform as it tends to be the elderly generation that are glued to the news and still beleive in the TV detector vans.
Two things I hate…keir and Starmer 😂
The main provider of personal information to the open market is the DVLA. Selling personal data is a blatant breach of the data protection act.
The more I hear of Starmer. If illegal immigration was stopped we could fund the winter payment and much more but no.
If we only taxed the very rich...
And that excludes their dependents. Doctors, engineers and scientists account for only 1.4% if all visas each year!
@@lilactomato That's crazy! Does that include the taxes they pay and how much they spend during their lifetime ie net impact or gross impact? Can you share the OBR link as I can't find it please?
Their shock doctrine is abysmal and immoral, useless to the economy, damaging to the institutions and harmful to people.
There's nothing common about the house of Commons. Time for MPs selected by sortition (as Juries are) instead of these goons who were bought and paid for as schoolkids. Check out People's Assemblies to see how well it can work. It was used in Ancient Greece and more recently in Ireland to debate contentious issues like abortion.
Why will they be "afraid" to put their heating on? The full state pension (and if one does not have that one receives Pension Credit which is actually rather better) is £11,500 this year. That is more than sufficient to both feed and heat oneself in an average property....with plenty left over. I know because I am one of the so-called terrified elderly depending on state pension. The logic of the situation belies the hysteria spread around by people who really do not know what they are talking about and who seemingly suffer from high levels of cognitive dissonance.
@@MarkPayne-ss6yu I am pleased you can manage but, there are many women who gave up work to have a family so do not get full pension, their husbands have died, they feel they are asking for charity by asking for help, to get the benefits large forms have to be completed and take a long time to go through the system, if indeed they know about it, there are also those who are on the boundaries of dementia who really struggle with this sort of thing. There are also many who are disabled and need a lot of heating to exist . It is not black and white. I consider myself fortunate to be 70 and have sufficient pension that I always gave my heating allowance to charity, but you have to realise there are many not in this situation. I do several days voluntary work A week and come across these situations every day, you and me are fortunate but please do remember there are many who are not and do not have families to help
You, and Douglas Murray, are the only public speakers who say it as it is, honestly, forthrightly, openly and distinctly, and for that, I thank you. I agree with everything you say in this video, especially about the trust issues with regards to politicians who speak political gobbledygook! When they are unaccountable for their manifestos, it feels wrong and it's long past the time they should be made, legally, to stick by what they say in order to be voted in. Of course it creates mistrust between the politicians and the voters, and I know of some staunch Labour supporters who have now removed themselves from anything to do with Keir Stalin - oh sorry, I mean Starmer - his pathological lying and his broken promises. Why the Labour government can't find extra funds from their rich supporters rather than starving and freezing out pensioners throughout the winter months is beyond me, and leaves me in despair for the future of our country!
My old company everyone had to do anti bribery training and if you ever got anything ever you had to talk to HR and say hey this client or whoever wants to give me this can i take it and they would decide yes or no and it would be written down. Now as basic floor workers who were never getting anything we all had to do it and sign and understand it how come an MP can just be like ahhh its not a bribe and take like 20k+ in "gifts"
