Infiniti Q50 has upgraded Pure Stage 2 Turbos, full turbo back exhaust system, upgraded fuel pumps, running on E60 and Meth injection.
C7 Z06 has longtube headers, intake, and a 93 tune on an automatic transmission.
1st race was from 40 MPH

If this is any indicator of the new Nissan Z is going to be a beast. Lighter, probably better gear ratios and final drive.

I would say for the street racers to get the 9 spd AT. Closer ratios to keep them in the power band at all times. Also better aerodynamics than a Q50 and as you’ve said lighter weight. I could only imagine what that car is going to turn out to be with the VR30 in it. Nissan really played it smart with the VR30. They rolled out the engine first in the Q50 to build up some aftermarket for it for the people who want more power at their disposal. Thing that excites me the most is Nissan now, with its Z car, is really caring about making it fast too. Previous gens i would say are more for people who want sports car looks without breaking the bank but this time its that mixed with more power. Super excited

As a lifelong diehard Chevy man that just bought his first JDM, a 12 G37 sedan, I’m impressed by that Q running with a C7Z, he might have more mods, mainly ethanol, but it’s working. I love both cars, both fast af and gorgeous. Chevy needs to just let Caddy have the LT4 and only put LT5s in Chevys, which really means Camaros now that C8Zs are going DOHC FPC, but I digress, great races.

@@nSquared75 I’ve never driven the newer Infinity are they that bad? I’ve seen some pretty fast ones on TH-cam. I do love my G37, and I came from a CTS 3.6 and CTS-V1
No offense Sam, But Chevy already uses the LT5's exclusively in the C7's and Caddy already uses the LT4's in all of the V series even the blackwing V models which in my honest opinion is better than a LT5 because they're built by hand. The LT5 and LT4 use the same pistons. The LT5 has an AFM-less valley plate. The LT5 has different crank and connecting rods, likely for the added power....Maybe you don't know what your talking about or you've been sleeping under a rock?
@@EliteOnTheBeat they put 2953 LT5 in a car they made for one year and that was 2 years ago, they have no problem selling LT5 crate motors so they have them. I’m not sure what your point is about the few differences other than easier production on LT4, I’m just saying what I wish Chevy would do, they never would because they don’t care about the Camaro. They could easily put LT5 in a limited number of ZL1 and charge $10k or so more and be the same price as a GT500.

For being 300+lbs heavier and a sedan, can't say the q50 didn't hold its own against a tuned Vette.

Q50s are the unsung heros no one really pays attention to. Those 3.0TTs are quick. $600 and you're in the 450hp range. Tune and you'll be getting more.

As someone who has owned multiple modded vettes amd tracked them, I know there are always faster cars all around you. Props to anyone that takes the time and money to properly mod a cat, especially sleepers. There you go. For those of you talking shmack about the new Nissan Z. It comes with the same engine. Just imagine if this was a Z instead of a Q50.. with its lighter weight and nimbler package. He would’ve had him. Nissan is reviving the JDM sports car game again with this new Z. The way the VR30 is performing it reminds me of the old days of RBs and JZs.
I daily drive a 2021 BMW 750i Msport but you better believe I'm getting that new Z as soon as it comes out, it will be my weekend car, I need it 🤤🤤

@@Phuong_Nguyen_ turbos are the same spec wise with the exception of optical sensors. Rs400 also has an extra water pump for the heat exchanger, slightly shorter final drive

Suggestion...invest in a walkie talkie rather than yelling out the window. It will improve the aerodynamics as well so you don't have to drive with the windows down. Plus the driver on the other side can have both hands on the steering wheel rather than trying to roll up the window while racing.
