I wish I had seen this video previously. I changed the resolution on my M2Pro Mac Mini, and the display went black with an out-of-range warning. I tried all the ways but had no clue what was happening. At the end, I found a solution that required 2 computers. 1 my Mac mini and 1 any other computer. Then I connected my Mac Mini to a different display (which was working fine.) and the original display as a mirror. Install the Teamviewer app on both devices. Then I changed the settings remotely using another computer. But there was a catch: as soon as I disconnected the new display, there were only 2 seconds to change the settings from the second computer in the Teamviwer app. This method was shared on quora. It was quite tedious and I had to do it twice as first time it didn't work. As soon as I restarted the mac it came with same warning without display.
@ Sidecar is a free Apple feature that allows you to use an iPad as a second display for your Mac, essentially turning the iPad into a wireless (or wired) extended or mirrored monitor. It was introduced in macOS Catalina and iPadOS 13, and it’s particularly helpful for anyone who wants extra screen space or a more flexible work setup. Key Features of Sidecar 1. Extended or Mirrored Display: You can extend your Mac’s desktop to the iPad, using it as a second screen to drag and drop windows, apps, or documents. Alternatively, you can mirror your Mac’s display to show the same content on both screens. 2. Apple Pencil Support: When Sidecar is active, you can use the Apple Pencil on your iPad to interact with Mac applications. This can turn your iPad into a drawing tablet for compatible apps like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. 3. Touch Bar Support: If your Mac doesn’t have a Touch Bar, Sidecar adds a virtual Touch Bar at the bottom of the iPad screen, providing quick access to Mac controls and shortcuts for apps that support it. 4. Gestures and Shortcuts: Sidecar supports many common iPad gestures like tapping, swiping, and pinching, plus standard Mac keyboard shortcuts. 5. Wireless or Wired Connection: You can connect to Sidecar wirelessly for more flexibility or use a USB cable for a stable and lower-latency experience. Requirements for Sidecar To use Sidecar, you need: • A compatible Mac (most models from 2016 or later) and iPad (iPad models supporting iPadOS 13 or later). • Both devices signed in to the same Apple ID with two-factor authentication enabled. • Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Handoff enabled. Sidecar is particularly useful for creative work, multitasking, or simply expanding screen real estate in a way that’s easy and portable.

@ my understanding is that sidecar is free and is built into Apple devices.
But can you use it as only display for mac mini?
