Mained survival hunter for M+ after rotating through all the classes at max level trying things out, ended up using it to push and get my achievement/mount. Really fun and it's wild that i had NEVER tried survival until about a month ago (ever since it was made a melee spec)
Just leveled up my havoc DH. I thought it was the most fun thing in the world until i hit 80 ... Turns out my Dragonflight 2-set bonus that throws a glaive when you blade dance makes the spec so much more fun and smooth.
they’re adding that back in 11.1 as a talent! I won’t lie though, DH falls really short in DPS as soon as you get to any high level. Sure, the burst is great, but there’s no single target and not a single lick of any consistency outside burst windows. Its fun otherwise aye
I totally agree with Arms. I played arms religiously for many years and now it’s so clunky and dumb. Fury is a lot more fun….but I don’t have fun on my warrior anymore. As with everyone else survival is a lot of fun, but it’s hardly a melee spec. WFB, kill command, flanking strike, explosive shot, kill shot…all from range!

It's interesting, I can enjoy enhancement shaman but it always feels like the difficulty comes from bloat not necessarily engaging gameplay and that's why it's not that fun for me anymore. Other classes like ret, just feel so much more dumbed down to the point where wings doesn't even need to casted because you can get it passively through wake of ashes which to me is boring.
As a subtlety main since cata, who fallen in love completely in legion with sub (when to be fair it was uncomplete and legendary dependednt) it is still the same problem, hard but not worth the hussle, you can do better dmg with aoe/single as assa/outlaw while putting less work, and iffff you make mistake, its the most punishing spec, im pushing 3k as assa and mythic 5/8 and i have to say I wish sub was better cuz it is waaay more fun.
I LOVE Havoc DH... in a game like Diablo 4 and it's great for just doing regular stuff, also switching to Vengeance is invincibility and as very very mid tank but with 620 ilvl. As a new to WOW player, DH was a terrible choice. Positioning, Crucial Timings, Punishing Rotations, and the movement being critical toward damage SUCKED. As a new player I was dashing off cliffs, standing an inch to the wrong place, dashing and flipping to proc damage and hitting one shots, and watching all the OG's make it look easy and watching my friends and guildmates just "know" exactly what to do. I am MUCH better now, and a good DPS in Heroic Raids/Dungeons I understand. I've moved mostly to Half Mover (for ST) with the CDs for Eye Beam and that center column with Uptime on Meta. I like it and it's easier as we're pushing for Heroic Queen. I have gone from struggling for 600k to around 800-900k but still suffer from critical moments where cds don't line up, get booped before using my 4 second buff, etc. Sadly, Dungeons are so stressful. I'm like 1200 and completed like 80% of the few I've done but it's so hard to memorize everything. I WISH Blizzard allowed free roaming, modding, testing, etc within the Dungeons. Having to do everything live is brutal. Let me go to the boss and just proc ability XYZ to see it, or mob ABC that is tougher than any boss. P.S. to all you Mythic + Killers out there I hope with the new loot upgrades it will be easier for you to be the better or best player in the dungeon. The only ones I have failed was when the better player couldn't just be better and push on, but had to berate me or a healer. Players that took things in stride made it feel like raiding, and learning, and I'm 85-90% with those people up to +7 Some discord with awesome people should start a group that PUGs with the noobs and helps teach them. Blizzard should promote and give extra rewards for slumming it and getting some experience into the new/weaker players. I do it now with Delves, Normal Raid, Heroic Dungeon, etc. The guy, VesperalTV, does it on +10's and it is for content but he seems to be genuinely cool and helpful.
I like Raise Abom. more than the army, for the simple reason that visually it feels more powerful. I am not a fan of the ghoul visual design in WoW, if they looked different I would like them better. There were many undead NPC models in Shadowlands and DK is still stuck with the old ones.
I wish…miss the days of frost bolt x 3, cd, repeat. DK isn’t hard but it’s more than I want for down time, fury war sounds the best out of the list followed by ret.
arms is just boring. we dont have big CRIT frequently popping or infinite mortal/bladestorm that can hype us. we dont have major rework on bottom branches in both talent trees. we dont have sufficient survival tricks or long attack range. we dont have short-cd burst. we dont have lust or br. plus, everything is random. it makes me feel im playing some Elden Ring sh*t which i have to focus on every single thingy instead of playing Wow pve content...
Lol Frost DK is incredibly boring spec🥲 and not even that strong anymore. FDK is incredibly wheelchair spec, DnD feels bad and breath of Syndragosa uptime is fucking rng. Sometines is uptime about 20s and sometimes 40s. Only good thing about FDK is his survivability => already announcened nerfes in upcoming big patch (11.1)… FDK will return to oblivion.
