Great Pawel! I use Stonnag/MWPTools as a ground station with telemetry from my TX16S, using a single receiver. I output the data via the UART from the transmitter using an ESP32-C3 mini over WiFi to a Linux mini PC.
@@micrathenefpv yes. BTW micrathenefpv, have you become a flat earther yet? If not I suggest viewing the 13 part series _what on earth happened_ in my about to learn how the earth is not a globe
Hey Pawel, I see you start looking at the ground stations and Automated antenna TRacker (AAT), if with VTX it is more or less clear, you can get for example Walksnail External VTX unit and place it on AAT, it is not clear how to handle ELRS? How to send from remote controller your moves to the ground station and make it re-transmit using AAT and directional antennas ? For example in on the radio with ELRS 2.4 - connect to AAT adjusted receiver, which works like re-broadcast to another ELRS module which works at 900 and connect to aircraft trough directional antenna?
Hello friends, I have a fc speedybee f7 and there is an fpv camera socket with ground, 5v, cc and cam pins. can i use it for sensors with ground, 5v, rx and tx pins? Thank You
What is the point if i have to buy another set of rx/tx in that case i wpuld use crossfire mavlink. Is there a possibility it will be like crossfire mavlink?
Can you explain why 2 receivers are required? I am currently getting telemetry to my tx16s using same RX/TX that is used for RC. I only do not know how to make tx16 forward this link to PC. Do I need 2 links, because a single link is just to low bandwidth to transmit telemetry protocols both ways and RC in the same time?
Nice, should be an awesome feature. I was reading ELRS notes and wanted to explore the sentinel antenna tracker using the telemetry out through backpack mode😮
@@Gray_Wolf33 I want a tracker too but no ready made one has all the features I want that's why I plan to build one with a slip ring for continuous rotation but I'm not sure what firmware I will use. I want to have continuous rotation feature, GPS and mag on the tracker so it can work on moving platform. I think the only options for firmware are ardupilot tracker but for that I would need another telemetry link for mavlink, I use ELRS, so I wish I could somehow forward my CRSF telemetry coordinates to the tracker but that may not be possible with ardupilot tracker. another future firmware could be ELRS backpack tracker that is being developed, it's great that it supports using CRSF telemetry so I don't need to use an additional telemetry link, but it doesn't support continuous rotation, GPS or mag at this point, ardupilot tracker supports all the features I want, I just hope there's a way to forward my ELRS telemetry coordinates to the tracker so I don't need an additional telemetry link for it..
We would be greatly appreciative if you had the option to control the plane from the ground station. You may Think it’s a duplication, but I’m thinking safety. Give us the opportunity for two way Telemetry and the ability to control the aircraft so we have a redundant system on control. Had a number of incident where my primary telemetry failed and I had no back up. This would prevent flyaways. You could even provide provision for a small back up battery with just enough time to get home. Please!
Good one! I can sit here at the dining table with my launching pad on the veranda rails so that I can fly my quads out over the forest reserve and track it on my laptop. Sadly everybody around me has wifi just like us which is a problem that plagues my Mavic Air. Control is OK but as soon as the video signal breaks up the video stutters. It will be fun to see how the systems compare. Another thing to work on after I get Optical Flow working perfectly. Cheers.
Early days - but exciting news for INAV.

Any closer on this yet?

when will you implement "Take off" function?
That's pretty cool but what about the Gemini system would you still have to run two separate receivers

For distance it makes more sense to use 900mhz for flight control and 2.4 for telemetry surely?
yes of course. Happy flying!
Why can’t you just connect your transmitter to the program and send the data from that to the inav ground station mode?
