Taking a lil break from my normal finance content, last week I went to Microsoft campus to ask their employees questions like how to get hired at Microsoft and how much money they make. I got a lot of PRACTICAL tips and SPICY salary details! Hints: I shared my last salary as well, so make sure to watch till the end ;). A huge THANK-YOU to the kind & brave people who participated in this interview.
I hope the video is helpful if you're looking to break into tech or land a job at Microsoft, while also shedding light on salary transparency.
    Let's normalize talking about money!

Loved the way that you disclosed your salary. I beleive it's really important to be aware of what these tech giants pay their employees. After watching this video, I am a lot more motivated to work on leetcode, especially after hearing the compensation😄. Thank you for such an amazing content

I totally understand not wanting to say salary, it could build animosity towards you if you make more than one of your peers.

That’s why those who chose to share it is so brave. They do us a huge favor by helping others understand how much they deserve to get paid and use that in their next salary negotiation! More often than not people actually appreciate having this info from their peers rather than building animosity :)

@@FinanceWithChi I'm a former FANG engineer and would have welcomed the opportunity to share my salary info. It helps the workers to understand how they are truly valued at the company and push them to find areas to improve if their salary is lagging. Besides, I wouldn't want to work at a company that would terminate you over the petty reason of discussing salary. I appreciate that you are trying to normalize this conversation!
