you are correct! same as my BYD tang DM. 4.3s to 100 and 1000Nm instead of 630Nm here. but rest looks and seems to be very similar. i got a 2.0T engine instead of the 1.5T. its exactly as you said. you can use EV only in the city and charge at home in your garage which i have done for almost 6 years now. use EV most time except when i travel or want extra power for fun. with the current charging situation in europe i am sure hybrid is the way to go for now since there are not enough charging stations to get you around without worry. years ago when i bought mine it was similar here in china. now the amount of fast chargers increased like triple time and i have no problem to drive fully electric with the SU7 max. but for rest of the world i agree that hybrid is a fantastic way to get around. after i watched your zeekr mix video i went to test drive it and think this might be my next family car. if you are around shenzhen next time let me know.
Announcement: I live in a city where most of the streets allow a maximum width of 180 cm (mirrors folded). Last time I checked, there is no way to move buildings further apart. While I don't plan to use the car to drive in the city, it is still nice to have the possiblity to park where I live rather than 10 km away in the suburbs. Will buy a reasonably sized car, i.e. 180cm wide, 450cm long, 150 tall and less than 1500kg. If you don't know where to start, I'll give you a hint: I know how to close the door by myself. Thanks for the attention.
@deltajohnny Yes, this is the right size, very nice car indeed. I don't like the huge wheels and FWD, however. But yes, this is the size car makers should focus on.
Honda use a similar technology for the power train, however 40kWh battery give this a much bigger EV range. Hopefully they can get this up to 60kWh for 180mile EV range.
Car looks good and got some nice specs. Sadly don't think will sell much in europe and especially not norway ... EREV got same taxes as full fossils while EVs are tax free up to ~330k rmb equivalent Edit: also curious if it does the Kia plugin thing where if you drive 80 kph + engine fire us, or temp goes below 0 engine fires up :/
The Chinese need to be more strategic. If Norway taxes PHEVs and HEVs but not BEVs it doesn't make sense to send a EREV there, especially as it is the opposite on continental europe. Also Norway market is tiny. Australia's BEVs accounted for just 6.7% of its total market but by volumne it almost matched Norway's BEV sales. In Australia the BYD Shark has been a smash hit. 2000 sales first 24hrs. I read a report saying 4000 sold all up and on their way. So with long distances and poor charging infrastucture outback the EREV concept works here. Additionally if you go to any car park most of the vehicles are similar size and shape of this Chery (sorry forgot how to spell the name). ME, Oz, SE Asia and Sth&Central America should be the targets. Let Europe and the US stay in the past.
@@AJames-jr8kw It's a fair point for sure. Sometimes I do feel they throw stuff at the wall to see what sticks and it doesn't always do well. Some are better than others on this, some have very Chinese management with very little idea of the countries they are entering.

I like everything about it 😍😍😍 Oh, speaking about the massage of the seats: is it a strong one? In my VW and Renault, both with massaging seats, it is barely noticeable... are Chinese massaging seats like those available in coin operated seats, where you can even see some "balls" moving in the seats? If it's like that, perhaps you could try to show the balls' motion in a future video? 😉😉
Great review.. I was wandering about a brand nobody had reviewed, they just have 2 cars a saloon and SUV. Dayun Yuanhang Y6 & the SUV why there's not much information about this brand?
Haha, with great difficulty! Best places are on the outskirts of cities where there's new development and grid roads put in place but nothing actually built yet. That or industrial parks. I put a lot of effort into finding these places.
And they"ll be the size of a truck to account for all the extra batteries needed! Look out for a 3+ ton EV near you soon. You'll probably need an HGV license to drive one soon lol.
@cocoaiscool2709 they're nice but not classy. As much as I love Zeekr and Avatr the light show up front is tacky, they're great for the Chinese market but looks tacky to everyone else. Xiaomi also looks classy and not over the top. My opinion of course. Looks are very subjective
The European brands are starting to employ more in-your-face lighting as well. BMW started the illuminated grill trend and more brands are offering the same feature. Audi EVs have the dancing front and rear lights for years now
@@lazziebardakos2956 yeah terrible opinion. Especially since you don't have to purchase the lights and the lights can just be solids. It's just have a feature vs not having it. Xpeng doesn't even have those lights so this sounds made up. Same with Li Auto. Doesn't seem like you know these brands.
Nice, but way too big for me. Would have been perfect for the States... at least for those who aren't anti-China. Oh well, the world is a big place and I am sure it will do well in the Middle East, Australia and Sth America. Norway? I am not so sure. They have great EV charging infrastructure and 93.6% BEV sales last month (petrol 0.6%, diesel 2.1%, HEV ~2% PHEV ~1%) but also perhaps unlike China which also has good EV charging there is more of a "green" culture I suspect than in China.
Yeah, yeah, yeah... It's all fun and games until one of these brands decides to pull out because they don't sell enough or your retailer decides to go and sell something else or the brand goes broke and then you are toasted....

Honda's uses the engine to drive the wheels. This can't do that.
60kw for 180 miles???!
Maybe that atrocious range will be because you're ferrying around the weight of an ICE engine as well.
