wizzy is an incredible player with a solid fundamental punish game, but as that side of the game becomes more optimized and neutral more tightly contested it lends itself to players like kurama separating themselves from the pack. Both incredibly talented players but kurama is just different
The way Kurama moves and deals with bell in this set was godlike. He rarely got hit with a bell kill confirm and he even got one himself. Definitely played the match up correctly and I hope he continues in winners.

@@joaquinleyva6869 Better than other people. People would get hit by that bell more than 6 times. It is hard to deal with a pacman holding bell but the fact that he only got hit hy 3 that whole set tells you how good he is.
That was a clean play right there.
He knows the MU very well it seems. But Kurama generally has a very good record against zoner players.
It's one hell of a mood when Kurama cape Tea's bell instantly to get the first stock of the set in neutral and the commentators don't even do so much as acknowledge it.

I think it had to do with Ludwig being on the coms not letting them talk about that technical stuff and asking random questions about DK
@@AlainReyes This wasn't an isolated issue throughout the whole tournament, and most of it didn't involve Ludwig. In fact, Ludwig asked a lot of good questions on stream for casual audiences since he wasn't familiar with all of Ultimate's mechanics.

I’m on the fence with their commentary, on one hand when they’re actually paying attention to the game it’s great but when they’re straying away from the match with non-relevant information and talk it’s just annoying

Yeah it's one of those things a few know but once they do, it can be very bad for Pac. I say it as a Pacman main.

8:00 you talk about stage counterpicks and even though this is a mario game, you don't mention how broken battlefield and yoshi are for him, he can 0 to death ladder you easy on those stages, even i can do it and i don't play mario, it's crazy, mario is one of the best charcters in the game on these stages, if you take an up air, up throw, down throw or up or down tilt, you die, it's that simple, either he ladders you to death, or if he's too far in the corner he spikes you with upair upair fair, it's stupid.
Mario in general just has a great stage meta, and kurama’s mario specifically. Mario practically forces his opponents to ban triplats, but he still does great on ps2, smashville, and small battlefield. Meanwhile the mario player can ban 2 of the FD’s and if his opponent wins on the third, DSR prevents them from going back to that one
