Good point at 1:40 about the need for customization - most seats are not "plug and play" and quite a lot of people get tripped by that (especially the width of the seat).
Another great video mate! 👍👍 I'm just working out my seat and electrics at the moment and I made a custom seat frame so I have no other option but go a custom seat.... half the fun right 😉
Issue here! Just got a lovely 1977cb 550. Was a bit nicer than I thought, so I don’t want to do anything too permanent to it! Anyway I can fit a cafe looking seat without cutting of the rear and fitting a hoop? Thanks
GREAT SITE, carry on. next ''racer'' how about ''chrome'' vinyl. wrap ? i am not afraid of paint anymore. i learned how to ''brush paint and polish off with ''boiled linseed oil. , , VINYL WRAP'' great , do in your ''living room, no mess.
Now repeat all that with your hands in your pockets :-) only kiddin boss, good info, one of the great bum stop seat styles was on the Ducati 750/900SS bevel drive. Anyway, liked and subbed, looking at your video on tanks next.
Hi. I would like to build a cafe racer. I will use a Honda cb. This may be a silly question. Why do you have to use a seat hoop? Thanks heaps. Love your channel
Sir, can you please make a cafe racer design for Hero Honda Karizma ZMR. It's going to be my first built and I have no idea about photoshopping it. The build would be a whole lot more easier if you could design it for me ☺
+peter kokelaar good call. Very rewarding to do that. I've got to admit some market seats fit remarkably well on the wider 230mm wide frames like the GS
Any advice on what seat should i use on a Honda cb500 from the 90´s? I plan to ride with a passenger and probably won´t be having a hoop at the end of the frame.
Does anyone know of a similar website to Cafe Racer Webshop that ships to the US? I like their selection and haven't been able to find anything like that.
+sNiikolasZ 象 from what I've heard Australia is on the expensive side also. Is that true. If you can find a bike that not everyone wants that you can make your own that'll be my best advice
I have an ugly original seat on my 1980 Honda cm200t Twinstar. I'm not good at manufacturing anything. I don't have the tools. Do you know what kind of seat I could buy? I took off the seat (screws on) and it looks like the frame is straight. When I do any searching, only the original comes up. Any advice would help!
For The Bold - dreegez If I take the seat off and measure the frame, up by the tank is around 6 inches and the widest area in back is around 7.5 inches (sorry for the US measurements :) )
+Michelle Jenson off the top of my head it sounds like a thin frame. The standard seats I use for the GS and CX are 9" width at the widest. Any forums out there that can help? I can't think of anything other than that tonne honest.
Dude, i love your vídeos but If you speak little slouly i can understand better what do you saying, english isnt my native language. Greetins from Brazil.
For The Bold - dreegez most of time we understand but If you speak fast dificult understand for non Native english learners, but i see all videos, its a high quality work, congrats.
The second and third seats are basically the same cheap seat with a different style foam and are to wide at the front for a lot of bikes But seriously you should stop flapping your wings and keep your eyes on the camera, it's hard to watch
Not really. The second is a cafe ever styled seat with a COWL and the third is a brat style / scrambler style seat with no cowl and room for a pillion passenger. And they’re definitely not too wide. In fact number 3 is narrower than a CX500 fuel tank where it meets the seat
Good point at 1:40 about the need for customization - most seats are not "plug and play" and quite a lot of people get tripped by that (especially the width of the seat).
Yeah a lot of people fall into the trap thinking they’re a straight swap
That Suzuki Gs 550 looks incredible. One of my favs and killer Paint Job !!!!!
Love these list style episodes, i love the removable cowl seat but its a bit out of my price range. Probable will go for a brat style seat.
+Jica thanks. I was surprised myself but a standard brat seat with a self made fibreglass removable cowl might be the diy option
I love your videos I’m 14 and looking at buying a bike to work on before high school. Your videos are so helpful👍🏽👍🏽keep up the good work
Thanks, glad you enjoy the video, and best of luck for when you start your build
Love your channel! Thanks for the content!
Thanks for watching.
The first three seats are on Aliexpress as well... Just saying
Andrea Colombo
They are Bar hoppers. Why spend 400.00
I need one of them seats that wave on the frame for a Suzuki gn 125

Another great video mate! 👍👍

+Cafe Racer Garage excellent. Enjoy
I like the 4th one caise you can have a ppassenger

From a comfort standpoint, stay away from seat piping, [number 2 the blank contrasting band] unless you're not gonna ride more then say 30 minutes..
Now repeat all that with your hands in your pockets :-) only kiddin boss, good info, one of the great bum stop seat styles was on the Ducati 750/900SS bevel drive.

Whats the fourth one called?
Fun topic! Thanks for the insight.
+DenisChenard thanks for watching.
I love that first seat but I don't think they sell to the U.S. Know of any other websites with the same/similar seat for sale?
+Collin I think they sell internationally. Check them out. Other ideas would be to search amazon.
Alright I'll give amazon a try, Thanks
Will any of these seats work for a 1965 Suzuki s32-2
Hi. I would like to build a cafe racer. I will use a Honda cb. This may be a silly question. Why do you have to use a seat hoop? Thanks heaps. Love your channel
+Sean Hunt depends on the bike. But can either be for strengthening the frame if there's no crossbar, and neatens the rear end
For The Bold - dreegez hi. Thanks so much for getting back to me. The bike I will use is a cb250.
I have a 1000cc motoguzzi and i dont no wair to find the tank can you help me plz

I’m sorry but I don’t do commissioned designs at this moment but try it out. A valuable skill
forward motion equalisation regulator rectifier / bum support
What was the website that you mentioned on the last option?
Nice video mate..! I have an question.. Can we fit the scrambler seat in continental gt?
You can make any seat fit any bike with the right skill.
if you make your own seat out of fiberglass it wil fit the best i think
+peter kokelaar good call. Very rewarding to do that. I've got to admit some market seats fit remarkably well on the wider 230mm wide frames like the GS
Does it waterproof?
Good question ☑️
Any advice on what seat should i use on a Honda cb500 from the 90´s? I plan to ride with a passenger and probably won´t be having a hoop at the end of the frame.
You can have a brat style seat and a hoop still.
can anyone help ime looking for the smallest cafe racer seat for say a 125 cc bike its actually for a crazy ebike I've built
Make your own?
Hey its my seat at number 2! haha
Anybody aware of a Cafe Racer Removable Seat Cowl Hump KIT for Triumph Thruxton (new 2016 model)?
Can I make a cafe racer out of boxer bm150(Baja)
Abhilash Unni ente kayyilum oru boxer 150 und ath aduth cafe racer akum
I have a Suzuki GS150 SE 2015. Is it a good base bike for a cafe racer?
I think any bike has a potential
Does anyone know of a similar website to Cafe Racer Webshop that ships to the US? I like their selection and haven't been able to find anything like that.
Try Dime city cycles.
can i ask where is some of the best and cheapest sites to find bik doners
+sNiikolasZ 象 depends where you live but I think cheap bikes are getting harder to find
would u have any advice if i said australia in melbourne area for more of a daily use bike
+sNiikolasZ 象 from what I've heard Australia is on the expensive side also. Is that true. If you can find a bike that not everyone wants that you can make your own that'll be my best advice

Yeah, it's a really small motorcycle (I'm just over 5 feet tall so it's perfect for me). It's an old honda but not nearly as customizable as the cb's.
+Michelle Jenson be good to hear if you eventually find a straight swap seat
Hi, This is Anil
I want to build a cafe racer,Iuse my Tvs Suzuki fiero.
Hi Anil, best of luck with your build.
Hi,can I know how to build
It's not really an easy or short answer. Best advice I can give is watch my videos and get inspiration from there
Do and of these seats fit 2 People?
Most of them are and 53-54cm but if you search eBay for 64cm seats you can find some nice dual seats.
Can u pls mention me the name of these seats
No specific name or brand but a lot can be found on Dime City Cycles
@@forthebold me a mallu
Can u suggest a seat for splendor
Entirely your taste and budget depends on what you choose. Don’t let anyone else tell you.
Good

+Jonathan Cardozo I've been meaning to find time to make subtitles for translation. I will get to you it one day

Loving the Build. Can't wait to see more on the GS550, just picked one up myself.
+Zach Painter amazing. Good luck with yours. Measuring calliper for the shims arrived today so a weekend of measuring.
