I thought that was Anna Wiintour.

If Superheroes were real, Edith Head would TOTALLY be a costume designer for them
I think they made her a cartoon character in the Incredibles. She designed the Incredibles superhero costumes. The animated character reminds me of Edith.

In my life, especially at school I have had to deal with women, adult women and teachers who did not care about how they dressed.
But they did everything to criticize those who wanted to look good in their clothes.
The funny thing is that some of them taught cinema history and even there their opinion on clothes didn't change.
To them, dressing well just meant: a stupid girl walking around in a dress and heels and bragging about it.
I have never in my life met teachers with such a dull mind.
In college, even male teachers are able to make meaningful speeches about it.
Clothes are not just clothes, they are part of our culture, our history, they tell stories and tell what a person wants to express based on his stylistic choices.
And lastly, the art of knowing how to make fashion does not just mean putting a shirt or a skirt together, otherwise everyone would be able to do it, like all things you need to have talent and taste.
Dear Edith, I will always respect your art and try to defend it from this kind of ignorant people.

She so right. The costume designer of a film, a play/musical, whatever... has so much affect on the character and more importantly the story. It's the first thing we see. The actor does the actions, says the words that were written, but what they're wearing and what they look like is just as important. Imagine Robert Redford wearing an I'll-fit duster and no hat in The Sting instead... completely different character. It would have even caused him to have said his lines differently, this performing different actions, perhaps an entirely different interpretation of the character and story would have manifested. Definitely so. ❤

She was in charge of costume on "Sabrina". Givenchy designed it but under her supervision. So therefore, she gets credit. He did most of the design for the movie but he was just starting out so the boss takes the Oscar.
Yes, but....we can't really say those were designed under Head's "supervision," as the SABRINA clothes Hepburn chose for herself were already made for Givenchy's Spring/Summer 1953 collection, long before he heard of the project.
