I loved the pladoh sculpture. I have used playdoh for so many years. Probably over 55 years. Now I play with my grandchildren. This was some great inspiration to challenge my grandkids to put more effort into their playtime.
It would have been interesting to see if it would have dried all the way, it was really to good to be smoshed Are you planning of making anything God of War related? Would be very interesting to see what you come up with :3
I’ve made several sculptures out of play-doh and I’ve noticed you mainly just need it to dry properly to avoid cracking that and make sure it’s not too thick and it doesn’t move AT ALL until completely dry!
I started out using playdoh for sculptures, then graduated to polymer clay. Polymer clay is much nicer, but playdoh is fun for quick plays or mapping out sculptures.
That is awesome! No one actually uses Play Doh in all those animation videos on TH-cam. They actually use a material I invented that looks like Play Doh, but can be melted, bent when warm, and smoothed without oil or water. The compound actually never dries out and holds its shape as long as it is held at room temperature or below it. The downside of this, is that there are almost no videos of it because Play Doh has been adopted as a genericized trademark and Hasbro seems to have no problem with all the free advertising. Thank you for making a video that actually shows what Play Doh can and can't do. Truth in advertising is important to consumer trust and loyalty and also ensures a fair market for competition from other products that look somewhat similar but behave very differently.
Wow im super impressed Jackie!! i always got super frustrated trying to sculpt anything with playdough even as a child. I usually just squished it for a few hours then put it back 😂😂 watching you squish somthing so beautiful hurt me in a way i could never imagine!!! Ahh!!
Love your crafts keep it up . Cant wait to see another saltecrafter video .. maybe another klutz kit ... i seen "fuzzeez" make your own stuffed animal . And "make your own puffy stickers"
Great challenge idea! I feel your pain at the smooshing though. Oh my heart, that was too cute to smoosh! As for the mushiness and the drooping, that's how I feel if I try to use Sculpey III or Fimo Soft! 😂 You just gave me an idea. Maybe I should "punish" myself by making something in Sculpey III only, and then compare it to Premo or Cernit...
Can I just say that you deserve all the subscribers possible?? You are one of my favorite youtubers, and watching your videos is so much fun! You are super talented!
Omg this is SO cute!!!😍😍Maybe you should try something that will have a lesser chance of falling apart. And I also really like handcrafts....😋I cant wait to see if you would try ceramics some day!😇
I feel like Playdoh did better than dollar-store air dry clay, which is fascinating! 🤔 And I could just imagine the nostalgic playdoh smell through my laptop screen. ❤
SO COOL!!!!! I LOVE THIS!!!!! You're so creative, and inspire me so much! Whenever I don't have any ideas, I always come to your channel to get the creativity flowing! Keep up the amazing work! Also, could you do another "Art into sculpture" videos? Those are SUPER cool!!!! Thanks!
It either crumbles/cracks or doesn’t dry - I made my grandparents little vases in elementary school and they’re still in a weird, almost dry state and have gotten some serious cracks
I mean, the review videos are still craft videos cuz you still craft something...omg "If you guys had your mind in the gutter.....ughhh....you're definitely part of the family but STOP IT!" Your videos never fail to put a smile on my face no matter how my day went.
You can make it nontemporary??I accidently dropped my snowglobe and the liquid inside it probably helped a lot.You just have to throw a snowglobe XD and let your project sit there at the hottest spot of your house(but the snowglobe's liquid should be near your project) for 2-4 days(depends on the size)Then if you want you can make it stronger with 2 coats of matte varnish. I use both PRITT's and Play-Doh's dough together and I think it becomes a little stronger and heavier!
I don't know if you will see this (anyone fancy thumbing up so maybe Jackie does???) But I managed to make a mini minion (less than a thumb in height) out of a non-brand play-doh that dried to solid after approx 4 days.
#nerdeficationsquad I love your videos I love coming home and seeing a new video😄😁 please never quit TH-cam P.s I’m very fidgety tooand I get in trouble for it
Wanted to try clay sculpting, but didn't want to waste clay just to practice, so I thought of using playdoh to practice techniques. Thank you for confirming
Actually I’ve used play doh to make a pumpkin and left it to dry for a few days or a week cause I forgot about it and afterwards it was hard. I’d rather use clay now though. Love you nerdecrafter your one of the reasons I got into sculpting.
About a year ago I was cleaning out some old boxes when i found our old play doh sets that my family used to use when playing this one board game (cranium). I was surprised to see the stuff was still moist so I decided to practice sculpting with it while watching tv and actually made a really cute 3d upright old lady toadstool gremlin with a decently detailed face. I shoved her back into the play doh container so she wouldn't dry out and fall apart before I could take decent pictures. LOL She's still in that jar today... I love the temporary nature of play doh because you can practice with it and the stress of using a fancy expensive product goes right out the window. You can just focus on the practice not the medium.
When I was a kid we used to make our own "Play Dough" out of flour, salt, and water, and it dried out a lot quicker than brand name PlayDoh, but lasted a lot longer. You can even bake salt dough. I remember making christmas decorations out of salt dough. You should do a video where you make salt dough and then make a sculpture out of it.
Jackie you should have not broke it I feel bad but next time do something a little more complicated and challenging cause you are a sucker for punishment
I love all the new videos! But I would also love more resin videos whether its tutorials, resin with me, or just intuitive ways to use it :) I still love your Sophie and toffee craft videos too!
OMG NerdECrafter your videos are awesome. I just love them so much and your very talented. Great job on the play doh sculpture. It turned out so well 💕👍👍👍. You get a 100/100 💯💯💯 Edit: NOOOOOOOOOOO, your beautiful work is destroyed 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I remember as a kid my parents and teachers would tell me not to mix the colors.... now I want play dough just to do that lol 😂😝
Ashley Calvillo I remember this. I bought two cans of the stuff two years ago just to stuck it to the man.

Why did you crumple it you can let it dry all the way out
Elissa Jarboe i
yes
Play-dog crumbles once it dries anyways.
It either crumbles/cracks or doesn’t dry - I made my grandparents little vases in elementary school and they’re still in a weird, almost dry state and have gotten some serious cracks

I usually use play doh/other clays cuz it's hard to find fimo/polymer clay in my country so...
AAAYYYEEE ARMY!
I used to make play-doh scenes when I was little and let them dry and give them to people. It was my start of my crafting career.
Jackie you should have not broke it I feel bad but next time do something a little more complicated and challenging cause you are a sucker for punishment
Lol so many ppl voted yes, so I'll start planning for it!
