This is a great bike for the money. Bought it after watching all of your videos and couldn't be happier. Unlocked the speed, so now it maxes out at 25 mpg.
@Mefobia Jeep with key on, but bike off, press left brake and turn the throttle all the way. Holding this position, turn the bike on from the power button. Once on, continue to hold both the brake and thr throttle for 10 seconds and then release. It will now go 25
Just ordered one myself. Do you know the seat post diameter? Wanted to get a suspension seat post. Also, is the controller easy to access to add a second battery?
@@00lincoln no way you could have figured that out on your own unless by accident. otherwise, the speed limiter would either be in the menu controls or the blue or white wire that connects from the controller back into its self.
Thank you so much for your review. I ordered mine a few hours ago and can't wait for delivery. Of course where l live (Delaware) is calling for rain during the period l am expecting it. I heavily lamented this purchase and had a $1400 budget but couldn't find another bike as highly rated with the same equipment. Wish me luck this is my firsr e-bike
Excellent review...thank you. I just bought 2 of these for myself and my wife and wanted an additional opinion. BTW...we are both 70 so I hope we can operate these!
I took delivery on mine April 11th of this year and as of today it has 999 miles. I use mine daily and am quite amazed that for this price the bike is sturdy and bullet proof. My complaints are barely worth mentioning. The back tire is showing noticeable wear, l figure by 1500 miles l'll replace both with street tires because l do no riding at all requiring those noisy knobbies. The brake cables need their third adjustment, l don't know if this is normal or not but the brake pads are holding up well. Some orange rust is forming in the welds on the luggage rack, nothing some emery paper and model paint won't correct. You can adjust the top speed with the controller. I have mine set at 30 mph and it still feels like there's more to go. I use mostly throttle mode, usually at top speed and go 25-35 miles on a charge. I did one run using only pedal assist and went over 50 miles bit l didn't buy it to pedal. The closest thing to a real problem is try to keep the controller dry. I rode it in the rain and the next time l turned it on it would shut back off. I noticed some condensation in the display. After several tries it came on and as soon as it cleared up it worked fine. Now l keep a baggie and if l get caught in the rain l wrap the controller. This e-bike is way better than expected. It cost about .70 to charge it. It's like having a motorcycle with a low top speed with no $$$ insurance or registration.
agree with the tires, the brakes do need adjustment over time, that's how it is with mechanical disk brakes. This ebike is a hell of a bargain for sure, the way they shaved premium features, not many people care about and based on the simplistic design, it works and it works great without much fuss.
Loving this bike so far, got this comfortably after watching your review too, thank you so much, my only thing with it is understanding the charger and knowing if/when it’s charging lol
just bought this the other day off of amazon too, absoutely incredible bike. I haven't used a bicycle in YEARS, and have never used an ebike once. Bought this on a whim and it is so fun going around town. Love going on rides on my days off. Highly recommend
This was uploaded 12 minutes ago 😮 I was just about to buy this instead of the step through since it’s a bigger battery and bigger frame so thank you!!!!!
As of today l've had my BK3 one year. With 2400 miles l've only replaced wear items, brakes and tires. I was happy to be rid of thosd noisy off road tires since almost all of my riding is on the street. The only issue has been my headlight which has lost about half of it's brightness, l have the Amazon warranty so l'll see if they will get me a replacement. Average battery life using throttle only most of the time is 20-25 and with just peddling uphill over 30. This is what l would call a very good inexpensive e-bike. It lacks some of the things on higher priced bikes like Hydraulic brakes, color hd display, usb port and adjustable bar hight, longer range battery (it's 15 ah does well) but does come with full steel fenders, quality cushy seat, sturdy rack, headlight and tail light that includes a brake light. For anyone in the market for a $7-800 e-bike l would highly recommend the BK3. It's 20 mph limiter can be reprogrammed to get a displayed 32 mph which is optimistic but is a true 29 mph l've ran the hell out of it with no mechanical issues. Very happy with my purchase
I'm thinking of buying the Hitway BK3M. I like the video, but I would have enjoyed a range test using pedal assist no throttle, no off-road, just road miles or paved trail miles. A plan 20-25 miles one way ride.
ride, charge, ride again 😊. for long commutes a contingency plan is needed, if your tires go flat, misalignment off wheel, brake issues, etc. worst case you can pedal, with pedal assist you can expect 35 miles imo.
@@YouTruther I currently ride 40 miles almost every weekend on my Ancheer 250watt, but I'm struggling to keep up with my buddy on his 500watt. I just purchased the Hitway 750Watt last week and I plan on adding my second battery tomorrow giving me a total on 34.5 AH. On my Ancheer I normally ride in assist 1 unless I'm trying to make it up a big hill. Are a short test ride I think assist 2 will be my level of choice on the Hitway.
@@huss_nagar Yes, I would highly recommend the Hitway. Hands down it’s a great deal. The bike is a little heavy but overall, I’m 100% happy with my purchase. My first ebike was another budget buy. It was an Ancheer 250 watt city cruiser that looked like the hitway. I wanted to upgrade the rear hub, but the cost of upgrading was more expensive than I was willing to pay. For me the math was simple. I paid 800 for the ancheer, I also purchased a secondary battery for 200. I sold the ancheer for 500 and returned the secondary battery used the money to purchase the hitway. I felt like I upgraded with no out of pocket cost. The bike has plenty of power. I’m 60 years old and I’m not jumping any hills or try to ride through the woods at 30 mph, I’m just a greenway trail rider and this bike is perfect to that. Thank you for your reviewing. Very good content and. It really can help a lot for people who are looking for a budget ebike. Quick question, does this one support a rear basket
Bought the same ebike and really like it except the brakes need to be adjusted badly. Can you tell me if you bring your battery in the house every night? Live in Florida and have temps in the low 90's for 6 months of the year and worried those temps will damage the battery. Also, it says on their website and Amazon these are Hydraulic brakes, I am pretty sure they are not, can you verify? Thanks and great review!
I have a safe spot to charge outside. The brakes may require adjustment and that goes with most e-bikes, bower if you true the wheels beforehand, it should be easier. The bolts were incredibly tight though. They are not hydraulic, this is a simple mechanical brake.
Thanks for the fast response. Do you think the hot weather outside here will degrade the battery if left on bike for few days at a time outside in hot weather? Not sure why they show on Amazon listing and their website Hydraulic brakes. Not happy they lied and misled buyers.
Hello, please help me out, I’m new to this. I’m a woman, 5’4” tall and weigh 136 lbs. Which of the two bikes do you recommend more: the BK11M or the BK3M? that’s just how it is with these things, some have better finishing than others, but it’s a small margin, like cheap bike vs expensive bike, and you gotta know how to work on these, the go through a lot of wear.

c-bass9367 Mine was delivered on April 11th and came undamaged. Half hour assembly and it even had 2/3 of a battery charge. As of today l have 760 miles on it with no issues at all.
