Well... we worship deities with similar backgrounds. God, ye Christian deity, has very different teachings than Allah, the Islamic deity. It’s like Zeus and Jupiter. They are definitely similar, but they are certainly individual beings. But yes, we are both of Abrahamic Religions.

Man was made to be with God in righteous relationship with him. Is it surprising that when you hear man praising God, that you find it so moving? There is something about the depths of a mans voice that vertebrates in your chest and soul.
You're right, man...as Christians, we don't hide from Satan...we face him and his evil head on and, with the grace that God gives us, we overcome the temptations that he imposes upon us in our daily lives. With God, we do not fear Satan...he is merely an entity that has no superior power over God

Not a fan of religion, although they have produced some of the most beautiful art through history. Its easy to see how such powerful tones could draw on someone spiritually.

When I first left religion, I looked back and hated what I had come from. I hated Christianity, Islam, Catholicism, you name it. I stayed up at night wondering how anyone could believe in something like that. Now that I'm older, I clearly don't hate religion, otherwise I wouldn't be here jamming out to Dies Irae. Peace on all of you, my friends. -someone whose thought about this stuff way too much
What you may have disliked about Religion may not be the ideas but the practices and the rituals. I, for one, dislike the notion of attending mass every Sunday and the other things they do but I don't shun the lessons that are meant to be taken from each mass. I don't go to church anymore since I believe that living as a good person is good enough.
Honestly I don't know what the hell was my problem back then; probably just being an angst teenager with nothing else to be angry at. I'm quite a bit older now, and between then and now I've looked at my beliefs extensively, and I'm still an atheist. Too many maybes in the world for me I suppose, haha. As far as my stance on religion goes, I've come to realize that the vast majority of people are ok, but the radicals of any group can poison your outlook on the entire thing. One rotten apple spoils the bunch, some shit like that. I… I seem to have forgotten my original point. Actually, I don't even think I had a point initially. I don't know how to end things like this.
Christianity is more of a relationship with Jesus than a religion. Christianity is different than any other belief. To get to Heaven is other religions you need to do stuff. However, in Christianity it's already been done. There's nothing we can do to go to Heaven because Jesus already paid the price. We have to believe in Him. No matter how sinful we are, God will forgive us if we ask.

i am not Catholic. I am not a Christian. I am not even sure I believe in the semitic- God, but with that being said this music speaks to my soul, assuming I have one!
Satanist Tim What, what? You're a satanist, satanist means "follower of Satan". So if you are listening to Churchmusic (music, which gives praise to our god) you must be burning like the demons and vampires in the movies. It's a silly little joke ;-)
Technically it's a Dies Irae. It is found (and greatly know for this) in The Shining by Stanley Kubrik (opening sequence). But Kubrik actually used Berlioz's version from the Symphonie Fantastique (5e Mouvement). At approximately the beginning of the second third the Dies Irae starts. And Berlioz did take it from the 13th century Gregorian chant. So it all makes sense in the end ^^
At first, I was disappointed that TH-cam forced me to listen to one of those "And I'm a Mormon" ads, but then I thought it was so perfect that the first part of the chant, as if to answer his "I'm a Mormon", was Dies Irae!
I really love this music if you have never experienced it just makes me feel at peace and relaxed

Satanist Tim
What, what?
You're a satanist, satanist means "follower of Satan". So if you are listening to Churchmusic (music, which gives praise to our god) you must be burning like the demons and vampires in the movies.
It's a silly little joke ;-)

Catholic Music.
Am I the only one who thought of Assassins Creed?
Oh no,oh no youre not
Technically it's a Dies Irae.
I thought of Death Note. XD
JoyStar ryuk song lol
At first, I was disappointed that TH-cam forced me to listen to one of those "And I'm a Mormon" ads, but then I thought it was so perfect that the first part of the chant, as if to answer his "I'm a Mormon", was Dies Irae!
Nice soothing, time to think music!!! 😀
