I guess you could say that casting spells is like performing intricate calligraphy that you have to get perfectly right in order for a spell to work(and not "spill your ink", etc), whereas a dwarf rune is more like a printing press where you make perfect types first, so that you can get predictable, mechanical results from them.
(Also i really hope that you get throught these mishaps that you're facing, god never delivers a cross that we can't carry. I will pray for you tonight)
Greetgins! What are "common" uses for runes on battlefield. How exacly throne of power works? What amazing feat of power could Thorgrim achieve using it? How tough Ungrim is compared to other known warriors of old world? Is he capable enough to hold his own against someone of Kroq-Gar caliber? Tyrion? Settra? How Dwarfs purify regained Karaks from Skaven/Greenskins influence? Do they purify it by fire? Do they have special way of doing it? Aside from Grombrindal (whom is kind of a phantom/ancestor god incarnate) are there any other similar figures? Like in Belegar campaign ghost generals? Were Dwarf generals using "shield mount" like on some arts that they fighted standing on a shield beared by 2 warriors underneath. Wouldn't it be a fun thing for TTW? How common are "Anvils of Doom" in Dwarf army? What are the most uncommon/rare/interesting weapons in dawi army? Were there any golems? Special kind of armor (like a power armor) available for dwarfs? (I know there are some in AoS but I wanted to know if there is something like that in old world) Can you name few interesting characters worth knowing aside form TTW generals, Gotrek and Malakai? Few sources (like books) for someone who love Dwarfs (also love Lizardmen but i reckon there are very few books?). Why do slayers wear mohawks? Why dwarfs do not use tanks/armored vehicles like empire? I reckon "armored wagons" were mentioned in one of Gotrek and Felix books. What is the difference between Long Beards and Iron Breakers? Would like to know more about Grombrindal (my fav character from warhammer) are there fun stories of him? What is the craziest thing he did? Do dwarfs have named martial arts? Sorry for long comment and hope I don't bother you too much.
War Wagons are something that the Empire has, I think they're no longer used on the battlefield due to Steam Tanks becoming a thing and are now mostly used for travellers on dangerous routes.
@@Tafah_0 I mean I reckon it was on one of 1st books of Gotrek and Felix saga and it was about one of lost Karaks and it was mentioned there that Dwarfs had an expedition with armored wagons to chaos wastes.
Ah, I should really get around to reading those at some point. Well I honestly wouldn't be surprised if most Dwarven transportation things aren't sturdy and defensible, crates and chests included. Especially if they're going up to the Chaos Wastes. But I do know that the War Wagon was a legit Empire unit in the tabletop at some point, was a cool model.
Hey Sotek loving the Q&A's keep up the good work :) My question is when the dwarfs and the lizard men do fight is it a close battle or does one side have a significant advantage over the other?
Have years tried to find a physical copy of the Serpent queen with a reasonable price. Never found one. One time managed to find one in the UK but the seller refused to do international shipping for me =(. That's likely the most notable Gotrek & Felix series book I'm missing among the road of skulls =(. Good stuff loremaster, keep it up.
hey man, love your stuff. keep at it! so for my question, Dwarves are famous for their magic resistance, they were basically made to resist it. so how come that 2 dwarves (i think thats how many it was) still became incarnates of the winds during the end times?
Because it was a poorly conceived hackjob of an event. I think the actual in setting reason was because the current crop of gods were ascended mortals of their age, and now the winds have picked new mortals to juice up for the coming new Age of Sigmar. It's utter drek either way you slice it.
Off topic but can you or someone tell me a list in order of the gotrek and felix books? I want to read them but I dont know the proper order in which to start them. Plus much love sotek love all your vids!!
Great videos, did you mention anything about the grey dwarves? I'm curious about them, I read some of the dwarf boooks and they are depicted as theives and honourless dawi, but is that so? are there any important Lords or heroes?
- - Their most notable character is Alrik Ranulfsson, King of Karak Hirn. This guy is all about dispelling and sicoursging that myth about Grey Dwarfs, who are looked down because their holds are the youngest in the Karaz Ankor and fairly poor to boot. You might find him and his hold interesting.
There is the most important qestion: IS COUSIN OKRI REAL?!?!?!? All jokes aside, great stuff man! Your vids are REALLY interesting and pretty simple to watch for someone who, like me, is not super deep in the lore, but want to know more. Keep it up!
That Dwarf in Lustria with Ironclad is Sven Hasselfriesian ;) I'm painting him at the moment :P
I wasnt really into Fantasy, but this series has opened my eyes!

Nice long vid, really enjoy these Q n A's
Why did you stop using the Skyrim tavern music? That track made your Q&As really relaxing to listen to. Also, thanks for answering my question!

Another fantastic episode!!!
