You mentioned dwarfs falling to chaos I imagine a dwarf falling to slaaanesh with their need for more gold and resources and longer beards and perfecting their crafts
You might've skipped a spot in the edit at the start, there. Hope all' go well, out there! Love these videos, and always adore seeing an upload about lore. A question, though, this goes for all races, but mostly dwarves in this case.. If a dwarf falls to Chaos/becomes a chaos dwarf, is there any coming back from that? Not necessarily accepted back into society, but ends up fighting Chaos, taking the slayer oath, or just turning into a (helpful?) hermit?
Thanks for the amazing Q&A Sotek! Missed it these last couple of weeks! Glad you got things on the rails again :) Keep up the amazing work! Where can I see announcements for future Q&A and leave questions if I have them?
Loremaster what would the impact of the dwarfs recovering the ablity to use and produce rune golems? If they add rune golems to total war how would that impact the dwarfs game play.
I recall one of the first novels of Gotrek, where Gotrek sees mutants, and Felix says something like "Parents can't kill their own children, so they abandon them, or try to protect them", and Gotrek is like "That's why your people is weak, human". Yeah, dwarfs will totally kill their babies ^^'
Hey Sotek, love your lore videos. Would it be possible for CA to include famous lore characters that aren't necessarily in the tabletop, such as Gotrek and Felix or Genevieve?
Hey Loremaster of Sotek; I dont know if you will cover new questions in your Q and A's; but the question on dwarven engineering and innovation made me want to ask if there are dwarves who have left the Karaz Ankor for the Empire who have been able to make significant innovations there compared to designs in their homeland.
And also; just contiueing on from one of your later thoughts on innovation; was there ever a dwarven plotline where an innovative dwarf came into conflict with the more traditionalist whole of there society?
23:24 a Dawi in Orc Slayer compared being a second born son to a noble to being a pet cat. He didn't really have any obligations and could just mooch if he wanted. Said Dawi lamented that his older brother died in part because that meant he had actual responsibilities now.
If you are going to continue these vids, I do have two questions. Has any Great Unclean one, or Nurgle himself, ever thought about developing a disease that causes a dwarfs hair to just fall off (that would be some serious grudgin)? Secondly what do you think of the story about how Golfag Maneater was captured by dwarfen rangers, after working for greenskins and stealing some treasury from Karak Kadrin, but Ungrim Ironfist decided to let him go because he was impressed that he ate every single captured greenskin who was sharing his jail cell? There is no proof Ungrim Ironfist even got his treasure back or had his grudge resolved. Do you think that was just poor writing? (Lore is found in 8th edition ogre kingdoms book)
@@loremasterofsotek Hmm, a dwarf caring about an ogres tenacity. I dunno, I know you say Ulgrim is quirky but this is just really out-of-character behaviour for a dwarf who would worry about how his ancestors would judge him.
Thanks Sotek, your videos are really good! Q: Did dwarfen/elvish styles influence the Empire and Bretonnia respectively? You mentioned dwarfs like humans with beards more, so did beards come into fashion when humans met dwarfs? And do Bretonnians lean more towards being clean shaven?

@@loremasterofsotek yeah the Warhammer RPG that you currently doing, will it be a year long campaign or a short one? Sorry about my mistake, I almost get into Warhammer fantasy but then The end times happened that pretty much kill my passion
@@wanahmad7100 I'd probably guess that we will get a DnD 6e announcement in about 3-4 years, with a release coming about a year or two after that. That would be a total time of 5e being out for 9-11 years. I'd guess this since the largest edition gap was 11 years long for both 1st-2nd and 2nd-3rd. It is also more than possible to get into Warhammer Fantasy while leaving the End Times material largely alone.
How do the dwarves even lose battles to the greenskins? As I understand it, the greenskins have really crude technology so all dwarf armour and weaponry would easily outclass standard greenskin equipment. Also, the holds of the Dwarves are just insanely well engineered and defensible so how do essentially savage tribes of greenskins take them? Another thing - how would the average dwarf compare to the average greenskin in terms of skill in combat?

Okay, so here is some: 1) How can you actually resolve a grudge? By gold/blood only or is there other way, like "do x and we will forget that you did Y"? If someone is like SUPER PERSONALLY responsible for grudge can he take slayer oath and help his clan or something like that? 2) Can elves and dawi become...well, if not friends, than at least somewhat reliable allies? What is pre End Times relationship between their realms? Are they just trying to ignore each other? 3) Just tell us the strory of the most dumb/funny grudge!
Here's a question that has bugged me for a while: you say orcs love nothing more than to fight the biggest, meanest thing they can fight, and they also don't really fear death. Then why do they have such average leadership? It doesn't really add up.
I think Loremaster has a funny concept of height, says dwarfs could be 5'6, and same in an earlier video. 5'6 is not that short lol. I think a dwarf would be like 4'2 or something.
