It could be because of the existence of the Maxima. The Altima and Maxima practically overlap and the only thing that differentiates them is horsepower and a few features. I wonder if Nissan watered down the NA Altima so it wouldn’t cannibalize Maxima sales.

Kool update ... lol kinda got mixed feelings on it, I just got the 2023 USA version of altima ... I do like these tail lights but biggest reason why I went with altima was how easy it was to use ... the start stop and info system flippin menu screens to find something big turn down for me ... specially when trying to adjust while driving ...

I sure it still drives like a recycling bin on four wheels.
Nissan used to put an automatic dimming rear view mirror in the altima, the mirror also had homelink to operate multiple garage doors.
I like the lighter colored leather in the interior. New exterior lighting and grill looks good too. Otherwise it hasn't changed much since 2019 .

Everything looks nice. The interior and the exterior. Not sure about the amber on this particular color what it went more with a gray or black leather interior. The omly thing that I didn't like was the way that the plate cover of the gas tank is able to open from the outside. That's a no no, it makes it easier for thieves to still the gas out of the tank.

Nice car but bad CVT Transmission, if they put a regular automatic transmission they can compete with the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry
Nissan hasn’t had a widespread cvt issue since 2013. Meanwhile, Honda had cvt issues on the Accord in 2013 and 2014 which were fixed finally in 2015.
@@haroldbeauchamp3770 I have a Honda Accord 2014, never had any issues with the CVT , nevertheless I’m not a fan of CVT transmissions. The Nissan CVT transmissions issue is well documented in consumers magazines and car forums
@@carlos8040ca oh I’m very familiar with issues that vehicles have. I’m an executive risk analyst/claims for the top 5 extended warranty providers. The Nissan CVT issues were fixed in 2013. Honda introduced their cvt in 2013 and had a huge campaign to fix the overheating CVT’s and subsequent failed torque converters. Honda fixed the design and the problems overwhelmingly went away for the 2015 model year. As of 2018, there are no CVT issues from any manufacturer. Cheers.

It's about time they got rid of those garish fake vents on the front! And are those LED taillights? Do we get LED turn signals & backup lights, too? All that's left would be to give us an 8 or 9-speed automatic transmission (or at least the OPTION for one), and all-wheel drive. Oh, and a hybrid version. Very nice, though, Nissan. @chilldwill7179 My '09 cube had nearly 200,000 miles on it when I sold her. Although a little beaten up, she still ran like a charm and the original CVT operated flawlessly after all those happy problem-free miles! Of course, I changed the CVT fluid every 30-40K, as per Nissans recommended CVT service intervals. [BTW, after 120K miles, I actually started changing the fluid myself with CVT fluid I bought from my local NAPA store (Eneos, Valvoline, Edemitsu)]. I sincerely believe Nissan's CVT issues (widely parroted online by Nissan haters for over a decade) have more to do with owner neglect than anything else.

If this were is the NA market it would be 45k +. Nobody in America will pay that for an Altima. Americans are badge jockeys. They will only pay that for certain “premium” brands
