David says we need to appreciate Dixon, which I’m all for, but I think we also need to appreciate what we’ve seen Josef Newgarden do since he went to Penske. In the last three years, Newgarden has won two championships, which we’re all aware of. But he’s also won 11 of 57 races, or 21% of the races. He’s won one out of every five races over a three year period. I don’t think Newgarden gets the credit he deserves for how incredibly well he’s performed since joining Penske. If you’re looking for someone to cheer for, I’d suggest Josef, both because of his talent and because there don’t seem to be very many of us fans of his out there.
You got that right. Been a fan of Newgarden since he started back in 2012. Bet he'd be a champion, especially after he broke out in 2015 and carried ECR team with a broken hand in 2016. Also for American fans, he leads the way for a new wave of great American drivers along with Rossi and Herta
