No doubt, the 5DEV crank arms are a sight to behold, about as bougie as you can possibly get! Appreciate your honest delivery too. Yes, it's amazing to have a blingy high end part like that on your bike and it will look killer, but will it really make the bike perform noticeably better than the Goldix? One thing's for sure, the 5DEV should instill some confidence as that mother is bombproof and will likely last forever. Maybe install those little boot protector thingys on the arms to prevent nicks and scratches?
I personally think this is hilarious. I work in a machine shop and we purchased a 5DEV vise for work holding in one of our 3+2 axis machines ($1800) We returned it after 2 mo. because we had parts coming out of it that were running out by .005" which is WAY unacceptable. Probably good they got in to over-hyped, over- priced, over-rated bike parts because their work-holding is not acceptable. A crank can be out by .005" and not matter.
I’m all in for supporting alternatives as most big brands are not for everyone (Price wise)
@@arrowhe4d yes, as long as it's not IP theft.
The Goldix are fine, and extremely functional. I agree that sometimes bougie is just necessary. “Pretty Sweet”
Ha, yeah I have to cut down on my use of pretty sweet.
Btw... bougie? Yes. Warranted? ABSOLUTELY!

They are nice but the Goldix were a solid value. I'm going to put them on the carbon mullet I think. I like the boot idea, maybe gold!
I think you should do a video to share the GOLDIX with your subscribers (who are wanting to do the same thing).

13:30 your rottor and pads are rubbing? correct me if im wrong.
You are not! Super annoying and now fixed after yesterday's ride.
Are the spindle the same as the raceface ones? I need to know if i can use my raceface spindle instead.
@@jorgesantos8509 no, not this one. It's smooth six-sided.
