    We should not be trading Lattimore period. DB’s is our best position on the team. Let’s not ruin that .

    Do fans remember the difference he made for the defense when he arrived,I do,he and Greer are the best Saints ever had,and Eric Allen at the end of his career

    There's no point in trading Lattimore because its clear that the trade market for CB is bad and is not worth much. Its better that Lattimore stay with the team and with us drafting Kool-Aid, our secondary got more good and better.

      If it’s not a salary cap situation, WHY are the Saints trading Marshon??

      We use 3 corners a lot. This means we must have 4 or even 5 great corners.
      I reckon we have 4 at the moment. And you are totally right, DBs are our only supergroup.

    There is a scenario I think no one is talking about that I don't necessarily want to put out there.
    But from everything I think training camp or week 3 - trade deadline is where he might be moved. Unless we have injuries in that position that mean trading him becomes avoidable.

    James- early in the video you say “you don’t want to restructure guys so that they are untradeable” - I believe Cam, Demario and a couple others are the exact definition of not doing that.

    I love when you do the AFR shows, that guy is such a crazy sociopath. He’s delusional and probably one of the worst Saints podcasters out there. He’s always freaking out about thinks he doesn’t understand. The guy is going to have a heart attack or a stroke for no reason. The never learns or becomes more informed. He’s consistently ignorant and a perfect candidate ti do your shows on 🤣

    I get it in one end age and track record regarding his recent status but along with what y see on the tape and what u see should answer the question should we trade him but if there is an offer that u can't refuse then it is what it is but either way there's a decision that has to be and will be made. Either way we will still love and support latt

    Best cornerbacks is debatable list in no specific order,
    Fred Thomas
    Tracy Porter
    Mike Mckenzie
    Janoris Jenkins
    Ashley Ambrose
    Jabari Greer
    Marshon Lattimore
    Those to me are the group that could be in that conversation.
    Fred Thomas to me is his rival for that designation. Thomas was undrafted aswell and became a shutdown corner.

    I think we should because I prefer to retain the younger talent in Adebo. Cut Ram post 6/1 and trade Kamara pre 6/1 too. Our roster doesn't justify what we're paying & those guys haven't moved the needle the last 3 yrs.

    What makes sense to me is, the Raiders need a number 1 CB & didn’t get the QB or a number 1 CB they wanted in the draft.
    Saints trade Lattimore to the Raiders for DaVante Adams.
    A post June 1 trade can make their salaries this season a wash for both teams.
    The Saints are on a 2 year plan, they are going to give vets like Cam, DD, etc. a chance to win over those 2 season, but they’re not using assets beyond those 2 seasons to make things happen, so either way, their Cap will be mostly cleaned up in 2 season’s when those players most likely are ready to retire.
    DaVante Adams is 32, the Raiders are more than 2 years away from contending.
    The return for DaVante at 32 isn’t the same as what they gave up for him at 30 & it will be difficult to get anything when he’s 34.
    While no one is considering the Saints contenders, if things break right with Kubiak, they could be surprise contenders.
    Lattimore is only 28, he can still be playing at a high level when the Raiders find a QB, etc.
    The Saints also make sense for DaVante because of DC AND the Saints hired Adams WR coach he’s worked with since his Fresno State days.
    As long as Lattimore is bought in the Saints probably shouldn’t trade him and if he wants to leave, a deal like this would give the Saints their best ROI.
    Adams will say all the right things, but I think there are better options to give him a chance to win over the next 2 seasons.
    The Raiders have to do something about Adams contract by next season, because there’s a huge jump. If they can get a number 1 CB for him, with several years left, that’s probably the best deal they’ll get.
    It’s probably the most Win-Win scenario for all the players and teams involved, that anyone will come up with?

    • @jasonk9020
      @jasonk9020 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’d do that trade plus a 2nd rounder cause Lattimore is much younger. Adams has 2 year’s plus left in the tank for sure ⚜️⚜️⚜️

  • @ryanromero4087
    @ryanromero4087 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    And I know your probably thinking well Lattimore is under contract, he has no choice he has to play, but you have to keep in mind that culture and Buying In, was a huge problem at the End of last season, so DA and Mickey don't want a situation where there is a disgruntled star veteran being this disease to the culture, similar to MIke T last year from the mid point on. I belive Marshone would possibly hold out and be another dark cloud hanging over the franchise... So there has to be buy in from Marshone Lattimore, that is the key component in all this, the money situation/cap situation can be figure out/ renegotiated. This is where the Saints live and Speacialize. Money is not the main issue here.

  • @ryanromero4087
    @ryanromero4087 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I belive you a missing a key component in this Lattimore trade speculation, while the dead cap money is an issue, the main issue that sparked this whole trade speculation is #1 after seeing g the Saints STRUGGLE for 2 years under Dennis Allen, Marshone Lattimore is not happy with the direction of the franchise and had stated that he doesn't want to play football under DA, then he didn't come back at all from the high ankle sprain, which the coaches and trainers though would be a 4-6 game rehab process, but Lattimore didn't come back at all the rest of the season. So the coaches/from the office felt like he was able to come back and play but stalled that process out. This is what led to the restructure of the contract with the most important part being the OPTION BONUS. Instead of giving Lattimore all his money in a singing bonus, they made it an OPTION bonus, being that if they do trade him, then the team picking him up would pay the option bonus. So it's not Money that is the main issue, it's that the Saints aren't sure if Marshone is bought in on DAs philosophy for this team as a head coach.

    Matt Moscona try not to be misleading challenge: impossible
    Trying to portray Lattimore as being injury prone his whole career is pretty lame… the dude missed 2 games in 2019, 2 games in 2020, and 1 game in 2021 (selected for Pro Bowl all 3 years).
    Injuries have only been an issue for Lattimore in 2022 and 2023.
