Welcome back to OFF! This is a cult classic RPGMaker game that was inspired by Earthbound / Mother! In this game, we control The Batter, and go to town on some spectres riling up havoc in the smoke mines and the postal office. And in our cowsheds, of all places. It's the most important of the elements, yknow!

Answering some of your questions/info
-Dedan is a mutant,not a specter,explaining his very bizzare desgin
-Dedan desgin inspired papyrus from undertale
-the fat specters summon the "ah ah" bubbles on turn 2
-the batter knows that he is "evil" because he heard the convo from inside the barns
-mortis confirmed that the batters bat is made out of metal
-the post office has a secret floor wich will give you a stat boost,the code is 87666
-the mines now have a path unlocked at elsen station,go inside the mines of elsen and then go up in the room with the yellow block
that will give you stat ups yet again
-the elsen you fought has his head exploded,that form of a elsen is called a "burnt"
it could be seen as the elsens being "burnt out" so thier heads explode from stress
-Dedan calls the batter the etoplasmic king bc he thinks the batter is the king of the specters,he isn't
You can never trust the post office to give you things, they can't even let you use a pen without a shitty little string of beads holding it down.
I'm still waiting on them to deliver my Hades poster that I ordered. They're a year late but I'll give them a bit more time before I say something. Any day now.

Not to sound rude, but the dev Mortis Ghost actually said the similarities between OFF and Earthbound were coincidental and that he wasn’t directly inspired by it.

That's actually really interesting! Honestly, it's my fault at this point since I just assume everything is inspired by Earthbound at this point. I try not to research games before I hop into them in case I get spoiled on anything, but I really do need to chill with the comparisons at some point. Thanks for letting me know!

I was going to talk about how much I like Dedan as a character, but seeing as I'm 6' 1" I don't think anyone will believe me, haha

Sintinel becomes a God, in this episode. It's unfortunate that he had to make so many blood sacrifices... But, he do be a God now.
This game is so amazing, it's sometimes funny but for the most part it's very mysterious and keeps a spooky atmosphere :o Can't wait for the next episode, love you Sin

Hey!
So first off I wanted to say that I love your letsplays; I started out by finding you through your Lisa stuff, and thanks to your actual investment in the story and expert editing, I immediately subscribed to your channel and now am watching through your stuff!
I am also very excited that you began playing through OFF by Mortis Ghost, as it is perhaps the foundational flatbed for strange indie RPGmaker games that run on the action side of things, while Yume Nikki acts foundational for the more puzzle-based ones.
Though I do notice that you are having a few problems with your playthrough, mainly with combat; Now this isn't explained in the tutorial necessarily, but the reason you are being attacked so actively while your deciding actions is because your stuck in 'Active' combat. To set it to 'Waiting', where the game stops when your guys are ready to act, you have to go into the party screen and toggle that.
Also, about Auto; Auto puts the batter in control, and the batter only cares about killing the impures; He'll focus no competences or items into healing or reviving, so do not use this option when fighting difficult or sturdy foes. Furthermore, you using Auto exclusively, I feel, makes you miss out on part of the charm of the game.
What I mean by that is that the enemies are weird. They have weird names, their attacks have weird names, and they have weird descriptions. Something that at least I enjoy with these playthroughs through this game is seeing people react to them, and while you are doing that in part, I feel you're skipping past the french charm of these bizarre beasts a bit by using Auto all the time. So if I may request it, can you please in the future fight at least the first instance of a new enemy on your own, and use the Wide Angle to analyze it. I, and maybe others, would appreciate it.
Now lastly, I wouldn’t want to suggest you changing something while your in the middle of a game, but you're in just the starting area, and I feel like it needs mentioning; This translation, while accurate, robs so much charm and character from the game that it isn’t even funny. The previous translation, in my opinion, is far superior (for example, Dedan was much more vulgar and rude, and less eloquent than what is depicted here. Him saying he ‘begs’ a worker to move, even sarcastically, I feel cheapens him).
Furthermore, the combat can be a bit incomplex. And it is really easy to go off the rails in the later sections and accidentally grind to the point of turning the rest of the game into a joke.
So, if you are wanting a better translation and a more interesting combat experience, I suggest this mod: forum.starmen.net/forum/Fan/Games/OFF-by-Mortis-Ghost-MOD-Balance-Rebalance-Project
It’s not like Desolate Expanse which adds more story points as well as combat changes, though; It merely balances the combat to be more intensive, and also happens to use a version of the translation I recommend that excludes all the errors the third one fixes at the cost of losing charm!
Anyways, sorry for this enormous message which you probably might not see; I love your stuff, and I will definitely spend some time in the Off subreddit recommending your current playthrough to hopefully attract some new viewers! I’m sure they will love it too!
No need to apologize, I appreciate the message! I'm planning on restarting the playthrough on OFF since I don't remember much of it at all, and I wasn't in a good headspace when I started playing it. Thanks for letting me know about the combat and the mod, I'll make sure to not use Auto as much when we start it up again!
