My boy was so wrong about swimming its scary. The only drawback is you want more imactful modes of cardio IF YOU'RE NOT INJURED so that your body can adapt to harder stimulus.

Getting up at 4 am to run for me was more mental because I thought being up to run while my opponent was sleeping was better for me. It didn’t make a difference in the fight tbh. Not eating or drinking water to make weight was wrong but I didn’t know better. Lifting weights was a no no too but it helped if you did it the right way

@ I built a base doing compound lifts like bench, squats, deadlifts for like a month or two then moved on to polymetric lifts like a plyo bench on Smith Machine for 30 second work with 2 to 3 rest ratio. The speed and power of my jab improved a lot. I did squat jumps with weight with the same work/rest ratio as well as weighted chin-ups. Everything was done with timed sets and long rests to be full strength on every set

speed bag is for hand eye coordination, keeping the same rhythm for both hands and keep your hands up after a minute your shoulders are on fire if you keep up the same intensity throughout the 3 minutes, pita got no business being a trainer now hes gonna say jumping rope isnt a part of training

My fighters need to earn the speed bag. A speed bag can be good if you're hitting it to find rhythm. It's used as a cool down. I say sometimes " I can tell how good a boxer is by how good he hits the speed bag, if you're good at the speed bag then you ain't good at boxing" 😂😂😂

Swimming dosnt transfer to boxing because it's far from the actual condition of the sport. Plus it's to heavy on the shoulders. Charles was 100% right.

That's like saying we shouldn't run because it's "heavy on the legs". As far as transferring to the sport, look that's not the purpose of strength and conditioning. The purpose of strength and conditioning is to build general qualities that can help improve your performance in a given sport. It's the practice of the sport itself that builds the specifics in terms of work capacity.

He preaches only staying at your upper or close limit becuase hes generating strength and speed to equal force. Hes giving some real million dollar sport science.
