03:41 When you fuse the bramble spark and attack, the arcane damage happens before blockers are declared. The damage isn't contingent upon the attack hitting. Definitely a useful thing to keep in mind for attacks that create frostbite tokens :)

Slight misplay on the summerwood shelter turn one, it requires you to target a defending card so Chris would've needed to block first before playing it. Not a huge deal in this case though.
Also, embodiment of earths only give defense to non-attack actions, there were multiple instances where Chris didn't take damage where they should have because of it.
Great video though!
I didn't even notice that during editing! Looks like I have to get some reps in with these new heroes.

it might just be editing but something doesn't seem to add up on the first couple of turns. It looks like the wrong colors were put on to display which makes things hard to follow.
Turn 1: Jerry played Weave Ice which he said gives +3 (Red) but the blue was shown which only gives plus 1 then Winter's Grasp was played with the Yellow (5 attack) being shown for a total of 7 damage...
Turn 2: Jerry was attacked for 8 and used a turn timber to defend and he said it blocked for 8 but the Blue version was shown which would only block for 6.
From an actual gameplay perspective, I am amazed at how few weapon attacks were made by both players. Rosetta thorn attacks in this matchup would be pushing guaranteed damage whenever you meet the trigger condition, and attacking for 4 with titan's fist will generally keep up the pressure enough to let you fuse your arsenal card on another turn.
Hmm, I think you're right - that's my bad in editing! I think we need to make a few changes to our recording process so I don't need to guess at what colour card is being played. Thanks!
Probably a well known tip by now, but you guys should be pitching for the cost of cards only AFTER playing the card on the field, not before.
What’s the difference?
I love the videos, very minor thing... you have to play the card, THEN pay for it by pitching. Most of the time it doesn't matter (I think with Prism and ninjas it might), but with the Fuse cards it's starting to become more relevant :-)

This has been a tough habit to break for us (coming from Magic), but we've gotten better about it in the more recent stuff we've filmed. We have about 10 episodes in the tank before you'll start seeing some of the changes we've made to our gameplay flow, though, so we may continue to play it wrong for at least a few weeks yet.
@@SpikeFeedersFAB as someone with a Magic background I totally get it! When our shop runs events almost everyone does it backwards, so you're definitely not alone :-)
I’m new to this game and have actually never played another TCG and after watching even the Devs this has confused me. The Devs play by pitching first, but tutorials always mention playing first
