I think the version of GPT-4 that Bing chat uses is a nerfed dumbed down version. It's not fully fledged. It was giving 4 line answers to a question that the open AI version gives a 40 line answer to.
I followed someone's advice to prompt it to give longer answers and what came out was still totally rubbish compared to the open AI version. It's for software development. You might not notice the difference if you simply asked it to write a poem or any of those other things when messing about. But for serious things Bing chat really cannot and should not be passed of as GPT-4.

That is false, even when paying for a premium plan on top of paying for a Plus subscription to get ChatGPT-4 instead of the free 3.5. The AI data still doesn't go beyond September 2021, as of August 2023. Makes me think Tim Harris never bothered to try and pay for a subscription before posting a video on the hottest mainstream AI tool currently available. My experience with bing chat is just awful. It feels as if it is a heavily modified and restricted version of gpt. I got better results with standard gpt3.5 then bing chat gpt4.
Bing AI is powered by Gpt4 but it doesn't have access to the trained data that (cut at sept 2021) give gpt4 knowledge. Bing Ai doesn't have knowledge, it searches the internet and gives link of what it has found. But is has the logical capabilities of gpt4.

Only creative mode uses gpt4 other modes use lower versions.
