So basically...
- Five is materialistic,
- Four is delusional with contradictory morals,
- Three is childish with no morals at all,
- Two is a loving cinnamon roll too pure for this world - so pure that cruelty emotionally destroyed her,
- One is lonely, and wants peace for the world so badly that she's ready to remove all threats from the world, including her sisters and herself.
- And Zero feels intense guilt as she feels responsible for the flower nearly ending the world, and she hides that and any emotional attachments by pretending to be detached.
No.
One was all Zero´s qualities. Bravery, cunning, intellect. She had it all.
The other sisters had Zero´s flaws.
Bernardo Heusi I see it kinda like each sister is a quality of zero (qualities that become less relevant to zero the farther you go, so one is almost exactly like zero, being kind of cruel but cunning and smart, while five is almost nothing like zero only having lust which is something zero can easily control due to her past)
@Sukuren No. The sisters are clones of Zero and are her most noticable to hidden personalities. We know little to almost nothing about the 5 rebels girls that died with Zero, so them representing her sisters when there is nothing to go on about them on what they made have acted,look like or how much of a impact they even made on Zero is a long scritch.
All of the sisters had a peice of Zero essence and personality, yes, even Two represented Zero's deepest personality, think about it? If Zero truly hated the world then why would she even attempt to save it. It's clear that the world doesn't even love nor want her to being with. So, why should she even feel guilt even though it all began with her. This she could have ignored all of it and just let the world end.
Zero ,I think, generally did love the world in some sense even a tiny bit. She didn't blame her mother at all for her cruelty towards her, she just thought it was the only way her mother knew how too raise her and she realized that even herself was a strain on her mother's livelihood. The world did give a chance to meet Michael, even if it was under shitty circumstances. Saying that Zero didn't care about the lives others isn't true. She did care very much about Michael/Mikhail and even cared about the disciples even tho Dito switch sides. She even cared about the Recorder that she secretly considered as a friend. She cared just didn't show it like how we wanted her too.
It's clear that 5-3 are clearly Zero's most noticable personalities because she does have a high sex drive like 5 and won't stop at anything until she gets what she wants, she's not delusional like 4 but her morals and reasonings of doing things her way are questionable and she is lazy like 3, they only gets things done when they interests them. 2 and 1 are obviously the personalities that she refuses to show until you piss her off, like with One did in ending A where she killed Mikhail.
What really lead Zero too fix her mistakes was she didn't want to be seen as the monster who destroyed the world and just wanted to die, have her silence. Zero was indeed many things, murder, a bitch ,you name it, but she lived in a world where murders are heros because killing many for the better good is what people looked up too. But used as just some instrument that her only purpose for being revived was just to end the world from a flower that was probably the nicest thing she ever gotten in her whole life?(until Michael of course). I'll be disappointed and pissed too.
The novel doesn't even mention much at all about the rebels that died off. Yea, sure 5 rebels and 5 sisters but other than that, nothing.

Each Intoner is both, a mix of Zero, and the Five Rebels who died with her.
Each Intoner shares qualities, and flaws with Zero. And she herself, had to embrace the most vile of her natures, in order to rid of them. To cleanse the end, that she feels guilty about bringing forth.
Five is focused on her objective, like Zero.
Four, can be merciless and cruel, like Zero.
Three, slowly lost value on life, and has quite the smarts when she wants to, like Zero.
Two, had hopes of just looking after what she cared for, and being happy. Like Zero.
One, wants a world of peace, with no conflict. Idealistic, and most of all, lonely. She is alone, and it is until someone like minded came by, that she felt less lonely. Like Zero, towards Michael. And then, forced to look after Mikhail.
Each Intoner, is just a fraction of who Zero really is, underneath her cold, executioner nature. Each sister has fake memories of Zero, and all the Intoners living together, growing, and being just that. A family.
That may also be, at the heart of Zero. Perhaps, that greatest desire, she would so adore to come true... but she is smart, clever, and had no second of doubt to know what the Flower's true intentions were. And so... no matter the fate she came by, her death was always in her mind. Once the hunt was done with, she would put herself to eternal sleep. Along with the very sisters she brought to this world.

@@harrid14mei The Japanese version is voiced by a man that talks like a woman. So Gabriella is supposed to be something like a transgender dragon, which they probably thought would be too confusing or too offensive for a western audience so instead they just went with a spunky black woman.

Something similar actually happens in Utahime Five (SPOILERS INCOMING!)
Gabriella basically powers up (against One's will) at the expense of losing her mind. One saves her by creating a contract using her own life/heart as a catalyst, a life threatening action which Michael couldn't comprehend.
That might be related to how Gabriella became Gabriel.

One didn't want to do it. Gabriella told her to do it so that she was strong enough to defeat Michael.
I think the timeline also implies that One finally found out about the Flower and what their ultimate purpose soon after Gabriella was turned. So, she lost her best friend and ally by her own hand, and then found out it was worthless, and they both have to die, or else Flower destroys the entire world. Really tough shit to deal with. I think that this is what got her to cross the line and finally start sleeping with her Brother, since at that point she knew she was a goner, hated herself for what she did to Gabriella, needed a relief, and no longer cared.
It's even more tragic because the main game's prologue clearly shows that it was Gabriella's transformation into Gabriel that turned the tide. If One found out just a little earlier, then she would not have turned Gabriella, and probably would have told her to stay back and let Michael finish them all. Instead, we got the tragedy of the entire game.
@@azurebookllet9216 Really, we could've avoided ALL of the plot if Zero had ever bothered to at least say -why- she was really trying to kill her sisters to One. I know there is the worry of the Flower splitting further, but I think the plot as a whole would've been better if it was sisters against sisters rather than "Zero goes to X Land now to kill #, on later routes it gets switched up a bit but still that except Five is still dead"
Honestly, I feel bad for Gabriella especially, she really is too good of a character to be wasted on DLC only prologues, she barely even got official artwork, we STILL don't even know the official way/time when the crossover from Gabriella to Gabriel happened either. I preferred her over Mikhail, kind of wish she was Zero's dragon.

I wonder if this meant that Gabriella was aware of the presence of the Flower in the Intoners. Although it wouldn’t exactly explains why she never mentioned it at all.
(For reference, the “mistake the world made” was to trust the Intoners and make them their rulers, considering all of them are cursed to inevitably destroy everything because of the Flower.)
Gabriella is such a good friend to One, even if she does nothing but give her sass.

It still happened, according to Brother One. In his novella, he mentioned that his sister cried whenever they do it and in the spinoff manga, Shi Ni Itaru Aka, there's also flashbacks of them doing it.

They're basically the only benevolent characters in Drakengard 3 besides Two. They're my favorites as well but I find all intoner sisters to be interesting.

Zero knew she would lose her life to the flower. She didn't have the option to live on. One had a faint hope that decreased and eventually vanished.
Zero never had any hope to begin with because she inherently possessed enough knowledge about the Bitch Flower, being its host. Whereas One spent a long time researching, trying to make sense out of the Intoners' situation and perhaps find a solution.
Or maybe my memory is playing games and I'm mixing up and forgetting some vital details. I do agree that Zero ultimately tried to save the world which would have been redeeming, were it not for One ruining her plans by creating brother One (who accidently ruined One's own plan to save the World lol.)

@@dragonboimmdvideos Brother One was hid in the Capital all time, because the other branches occurs outside of the Cathedral City we may assume he still out somewhere.
But in the end, he is a tragic figure who is fated to see his sisters dying in all timelines.
@@dragonboimmdvideos According to the Novella he hides himself in his room regardless. In branch B one gets off'd by two so he probably offs himself (feels abandoned as in the novella he tries to kill himself there too). In branch C it was in a basement and zero is still living. Since zero was in the basement she would sneak out...or kill one the brother if he finds her since it probably won't be a sneak attack. Branch D he still most likely kills himself (some theorize one(sister) killed her brother before hand either in C or D due to her disdain for intoners). In branch C one acknowledges that Zero plans to kill herself anyway. Given that brother One is virtually useless. In branch D, One didn't know the whole thing but I doubt she didn't infer it. In branch A she seemed not to acknowledge it.
The reason for the suicide of brother One is in the novellas. The death of his sister brings him so much grief he tries to kill himself. He forgot his dragon blade where zero was so he did it with a normal sword (being an intoner it doesn't kill him).
He didn't go back for it because he wanted to be alone in his room. Since he would have the dragon blade on him when one dies he would die by suicide before his "Sibling epiphany".
I think there was a theory that when Gabriel fell onto the Cathedral in Branch D, that ultimately killed Brother One as well.
Branches B and C are harder to parse, but I think I worked out theories for them as well.
Branch B: One headed to Land of Forests because she finally got tired of Three's experiments, and decided that they had to stop: she did not find out about Zero's presence, let alone Two heading in the same direction, until it was too late. Because of this, she did not think she needed her Brother, and he was instead left to preserve illusion of normalcy in the Cathedral City. Whatever happens to him after the end of the Branch is open to speculation: in general, Branch B leaves more than enough room for a sequel to its own timeline.
Branch C: Here, it really depends on how much One knew about what Two was intending to do. It's possible that Two being at the Cathedral was part of One's plan that timeline, but I do not recall there being any evidence for that, and One letting Two "strengthen" her soldiers, let alone willing to do that, would be hugely out of character for her. However, if Two did the kidnapping and cursing of Mikhail of her own volition this time (since Cent was already gone from her side by that point), and then showed up uninvited at the Cathedral City, then I wouldn't be surprised if One is actually at the caverns beneath the Cathedral because she was fleeing from Two (which would be a wise choice, considering Branch B.) If so, it's possible that Two went for the throne room, tried to kill One, but instead only got her Brother, and since they are twins, she might have even believed that was it. Then, Two simply waited for Zero, while her song had "strengthened" all the Cathedral's soldiers just like it did that in her prologue. It would also fit how the first thing One says to Zero in Branch C is that Intoners is a plague, when she does not go that far even in Branch D: I think that seeing her sister corrupt the minds of all her soldiers is what made the difference. (While in Branch D, One has no idea about stuff like Five's Galgaliel transformation, or Four's violent insanity, and so still grieves for them.)

Four however is too proud to ask for sex and thus if decadeus' was like cent and courted her into it, she probably would've gotten laid. She left decadeus' outside her room, with the door unlocked, with her "bed creaking" from time to time. If that ain't a sign idk what is. And if you think that her hints are impossible to get, in decadeus' memoir he noted that the soldiers thought 4 was being seductive.
So the reason for four being a virgin is in part due to her pride. The other part is her dense masochist of a disciple. If One who has the strongest will out if the 5 intoners can sleep with her brother, four can get laid.

It's not just her attitude towards sex, but also her high focus on order, hierarchy, the virtue of work and judging the undeserving. One wrote that Four shuts down and panics when she encounters a situation she does not understand (and so she flees from Zero in Branch A), but her Prologue also shows that she is willing to do anything if she can convince herself it's the right thing, and would not feel guilty at all about after that, treating it as her job or moral duty.

One did nothing wrong. Much like two and the shadowlord from nier the majority of the "flaws" she had was the fact that the rest of the world was just pure garbage. Hell, she even realized about the flowers power in branch C and had planned on following through what zero had stated. To kill off the other intoners and save the world. The game constantly mentions that one is unreliable as a savior because she is "too nice" in which I was like, "wtf?🤨" she is literally a Mary Sue of this game and it's almost always zero and one fighting by themselves at the end when all the other intoners are dead. She doesn't have any other options to "save" them. If she kills zero she most likely WOULD ask mikahel to finish the job.

I’m sure Yoko Taro wanted us to make odd observations like this, having others take it with much incredulity as to forget for a moment just how whipsmart and touching/powerful his narrative around this…disturbing plot hole(?) really is. Now that I’ve got some of yours’s attention…
- Why the fudge does this DLC NOT HAVE TROPHIES?!?!
- Why is it so hard to find detailed videos/guides for this specific DLC due to the above question?
- Is Zero, like One & Brone (Bro One) as the (blatant) familial tree’s nexus point, technically like a Biological Ancestor to Manah and Sera?
- Will Taro ever make them all meet up again someday in a future game (hopefully)/novel/play/manga (most likely) in a sort of “Final Crisis” manner; the intended result being the happy endings everyone whose suffered through these games rightfully deserve?!?!
