Fantastic movie, even a lot of the shooting facts they stated we on the extreme, but never impossible. like the crux of the movie being a 2200 yard cold bore shot, which is extreme to say the least, few people could ever pull that off, especially back then. but its not impossible with the 408 he has in the movie.
Well the 408 he had was a chytac m200 it was developed and prototyped in Arco Idaho, it comes with a ballistic calculator with lots of load data and every atmospheric calculation possible. Now when it was shown on a show called future weapons. The host shot at a target nearly 1.5 miles it took him three shots but he made it despite the wind picking up and throwing it in all directions. The snow topped mountain scene always bugs me, up to this point and most of the movie the bullet physics and weapons use appears grounded in real life. Then it goes all Hollywood. With zoom on scopes, bullets that act like howitzer rounds.
Believe me this is only a movie but I'll tell you exactly that that's the same kind of tactic they use in real life to draw in the enemy at any cost even losing our own
Usually movies like this aren't my thing, but I actually watched this movie a good dozen times when I was a kid. (NO it did NOT traumatize me). it was actually funny in some scenes like your man getting his fingers and arm sniped off and the iconic lodge massacre.
Always thought the final scenes of the film were the product of a screenwriter and director who had run out of ideas. In fact in the DVD version there is an interview with the screenwriter who basically admits that the director changed the ending. The scene makes the hero nothing but a cold-blooded murderer which he wasn't. I think there were better ways to have finished the film, especially after the dogs breakfast of a scene with the Attorney-General that preceded it.
They killed his best friend at the start of the movie with that bullshit cover up… set him as an assassin, kill his fucking dog, kidnap said best friend’s wife and repeatedly try to kill him. But HE is the cold blooded killer? Do society a favor and never reproduce lol

It's a movie. Do you want to kill 2 persons to make it more realistic?
@@GoMrTom gosh could you Tom? That'd be great!
Really though I'd just settle for sub-super hero impossibility in the portrayals.
Improbable is one thing, but when you strain credibility too far, it's a less enjoyable ride.
Good call
@@GoMrTom No, but if you're going to direct a movie you make it as realistic as possible. Like Making Private Ryan. You use your brain and stick a damn dummy in the back of the truck. How difficult is it to do that 😕
Going vs The deadliest sniper.
-lets go to an open field, ah yes a mountain.
The snow topped mountain scene always bugs me, up to this point and most of the movie the bullet physics and weapons use appears grounded in real life.
Then it goes all Hollywood. With zoom on scopes, bullets that act like howitzer rounds.
"Get my car..."
car blows up
"Wait... Does anyone else hear banjos?"
REMEMBERING CHRIS KYLE 🥺🌹
Chris Kyle was a sadist. He loved killing people. He really deserved this end.
One of the best snipers movies ever ... . Corruption is anyware and every were even between politisions ...
Believe me this is only a movie but I'll tell you exactly that that's the same kind of tactic they use in real life to draw in the enemy at any cost even losing our own
Nice one
I would have to disagree with that the best I've ever seen is one that the sniper is never seen and the job is done.
Shut up
But that is what they all are. They just sugarcoat the name murderer with attributes of honor to it
They killed his best friend at the start of the movie with that bullshit cover up… set him as an assassin, kill his fucking dog, kidnap said best friend’s wife and repeatedly try to kill him.
But HE is the cold blooded killer? Do society a favor and never reproduce lol
@@stanoh1000 so you just think all soldiers are murderers.
Murder is a crime. What they all do is commit homicide.
Murder is the intentional and unjustified taking of a life.
Hence why unintentional is manslaughter and justified is self defense/acts of war
@@ML-sc3pt every act of war is not justified, most soldiers just follow orders, not ask justification from their superiors.
Nach zwei (!!) Minuten die erste 30 sekündige Werbung .... Unmöglich
