Hi Mark! I love your videos! I want to ask you if you give your piglets iron shots? The vet is a huge pusher for iron shots. The breeder I bought from doesn't give and has no problem.
We are picking up a couple of Mangalitsa pigs in two days: I saw a tik tok of you a while ago talking about why they are the best pigs and after researching I agree!
Question: where can I find a shelter like the one in this video? Farmtek doesn’t seem to have it anymore sadly.
We looked for someone else, and they have discontinued them. Google calf hutches and they will show up.

Mangalita it is an cousin with wild boar
Mangalitsa piglets are striped like wild boar's ones. That's a telltale that the breed was obtained by crossing pigs with wild boars.
Wild boars are pigs. The Hungarians did it a couple centuries ago as a way to get high quality pork with the fat they needed and a hardy pig that they could protect from marauders. It was a fabulous homestead pig. In fact, many of the untampered with heritage breeds have striped babies. Thanks for watching!
