    Hello masud saeedi,
Cheers!! to the great work by you in educating all the UK aspirants
I'm from India. I have done my undergraduation in Physiotherapy with 2 yrs of experience. I have received some offer letters from universities like 1.MSc Sports Medicine- University of Chester, Queen Mary.
    2. Clinical and Sports Biomechanics- Liverpool John Moore's University.
    3. Sports rehabilitation- Teeside University
I am thinking of joining sports biomechanics and having enquired from sources, I have received a mixed response about the career and the availability of employment. Can u please guide me about the scope of these courses and your opinion which u think is better to settle down In UK.

I already have some in mind, however, I want to be a Physio when i am older and so maybe i should be studying PE? Did you stidy PE at GCSE and/or would you reccomend it? Thank you - video was great

Hey Hattie, thanks for commenting! Yes i did do a level 2 B tec in sport in Secondary School.
But at GCSE level i don't think it matters. An A level in Biology at grade B is usually the minimum admissions tutors look for as well as some clinical work experience.

i have a question.... i’m very interested in physio therapy, as i really enjoy sport but don’t particularly want to be a doctor. i want to take Physical Education at A level , and i am in my gcse year taking physical education as one of my subjects. would i need to take a biology A level too?? or would the PE a level and work experience be enough?

Hey Emma, thank you for the question. So yes to answer your question, you need the biology a level.
Studying the PE GCSE will be good but its more a history of biological competency academic tutors look for in candidates. Just because you you'll be learning alot of anatomy and pathology on the course :)

Masud Saeedi Physiotherapy Worcester, Nottingham and Birmingham are a few I’ve looked at that will accept PE or biology however others like UEA say you must have biology. I think this is because PE has a lot more anatomy/physiology/biomechanics in it now which can be applied to a Physiotherapy course. 👍🏻

Thank you for your information! I have a question. I have just M.A/B.A in Philosophy in Korea. Now I'm considering to change my career as a physiotherapist in U.K. I haven't had an education regarding biology, chemistry. Could I enroll in the course of Bsc in Physiotherapy? Do I need to supplement those courses to enroll like the foundation course?

    • @MsMZB
      @MsMZB 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

Hey, I'm changing my career into Physiotherapy so I think that I can answer to most of your questions. You'll most probably would need to complete one year of something called " Access to Higher Education" in either Physiotherapy or Science, according to the university's entry requirements. There are Distance Learning form of it offered online. Not sure if you'll need it for a Foundation degree. Make sure to go to a work experience in a Physio department and observe as many of the departments as you can. Read physiotherapy books, show them in your statement and interview that you are really serious about starting the profession. Good Luck P.S. And IELTS score 7 as well.

Hi I have a question. I already have a 2.1 BA hons degree in a non science subject from a British University. I want to become a Physiotherapist. Would it be worthwhile to go back and do another bachelors degree (BSC) or should I aim to do a masters in Physiotherapy (MSc) ?? Thanks for your help.

Hi Sarah, thank you for commenting. Your best bet would be to ring up your preferred university and speak to their admissions department or one of the physio staff who would be able to make the decision based off your individual circumstances. Some unis may allow it but majority will ask for some sort of science related qualification at A level standard.
There were loads of people who had previous degrees on my course and they studied (1yr) access courses with the open university for instance..similar to a Fd Degree in science.
I dont think its worth the trouble of studying another degree related in science!! Haha that would be so long!! (Not sure if thats what you meant)

@@sarah.93.30 awesome, yea so from my understanding the access course has modules in different areas of science like biology and chemistry etc. And you complete coursework based assignments as well some exams.
I'm not entirely sure so you may have to just read up on this but essentially it gives you what you need to apply to study physio if you achieve a specific grade (credits). Alot of universities accept this as a qualification which is equivalent to A levels. Again best bet is to read up on the paritcular uni website or call in and see.
