What if the game is just a giant scam that is being used to cover up some kind of accounting or financial fraud by Ubisoft. Doesn't make sense that a company like Ubisoft would be willing to spend a decade to make a game when they make the same game every year.
@@Krenisphia that's stupid thinking, what about all other games that were developed, released and did well enough ? It's extremely pessimistic to say that it's naive to think that cause of some games that aren't doing well whether during development or after release.
Ubisoft: "oh my god, this is happening again!" BGaE2: "that's right, you're no longer dealing with the average development hell anymore, Ubisoft. I...BGaE2, have finally become the legendary Super Development Hell!"
Half Life 3 if Gaben gets his shit together and not be like "but steam is profitable so we don't need half life 3". I know there's half life alyx but come on man
Ubisoft in 2010: "We are taking our time because we want this game to be perfect!" Considering this was back when Ubisoft COULD make good games and actually get them out to market, I'm both curious and worried to know just exactly what's going on over there...
Ubisoft in 2010 was already the greedy company we know today, they got the taste of success with AC1 and 2 and decided to give the creator of AC less time to develop new AC games and because the creator was not having it, he was fired. AC Brotherhood was still a good game but it was clearly short in many aspects, you could tell they had much less time.
It's nothing wrong to take your time on a game to make it perfect and less buggy, but if it takes nearly or over a decade or so for it, then there's something really going on internally and someone's not putting their effort into it, so yeah
Yves basically let one guy handle everything in terms of approving games and giving budgets, leading to the company stagnating in terms of game variety. When that guy was fired for sexual harrassment charges, Yves clearly had no idea what to do since he relied on that guy so much. He also is arrogant enough to think his way is the best and only way forward because his family owns the company. Essentially Ubisoft (well, mainly Yves) rested on their laurels so much thanks to their success in the last decade that they thought all their dirty laundry would never be aired and that all their ideas would be welcomed by gamers without question. Now that they're suddenly in a position where their bad reputation is in the spotlight and people are tired of their repetitive games, they have no clue what to do. It doesn't stop Yves from treating gamers like idiots though, like how he keeps promising BG&E2 is still in development.
Since this game was first talked about, I have: 1. graduated high school 2. gone to college 3. lost my virginity 4. been to rehab 5. gone back to college 6. gone back to rehab 7. finished college 8. failed to go anywhere with my education 9. moved back in with my parents 10. gotten a job that's surprisingly fulfilling, and started to actually make money 11. survived COVID 12. buried my pet cat 13. buried 2 grandparents In conclusion, my life has gone on, regardless of Ubisoft using a f*&%ing video game for blackmail. Cancel it. I don't think enough people care anymore. I know I don't.
I'll say this to all developers who are taking years or decades to work on one game, dunno why it takes this long, but something need to done with it, there's no passion anymore, only appeal for those who want eye-popping graphics then good story and gameplay given games, it isn't just about great graphics, but also about the other two too, it's fine to take your time on things, but they need to put their effort down and actually do something tbh
They are apparently (from what I heard) under an obligation to not be able to cancel this game cause money for development came from some company, and if they do, they can be sued by them (not sure if it's true or not)
They already announced that years ago. Oh - and it's no longer a single player game, but a game the you can play with your friends online, aka a "multiplayer".
Yeah, that's what they were marketing the game as in like 2016. Some open world multiplayer game that has seemingly nothing to do with the original game at all.
@@cupriferouscatalyst3708 Yeah - It was the point when I lost all interest in the game. I am an explicit single player gamer. I just don't like multiplayer games. Especially the MMO types are a hard pass for me. The moment I saw those announcements I got that terrible sinking feeling in my stomach, and knew all my hopes for this game went down the drain...
This stings on a personal level for me. Beyond Good and Evil was my first real experience with what I'd call games as art. It was and remains one of my most loved gaming experiences, and had a lasting impact on me growing up. I've been patiently awaiting the sequel since it was first teased, way, way back in the day. I've gone through the cycle of giving up hope and having it renewed over and over again, just from the sheer amount of time between news breaks. Now in 2023, almost two DECADES on from the initial release, I don't know if I want a sequel even if it did ever see the light of day. So much has happened in the interim, not the least of which is how the culture and practices of Ubisoft themselves evolved during that time, and not in a way I personally approve of. Put simply, I long ago lost my confidence in the company's creative ability to live up to Beyond Good and Evils legacy, or fulfil it's potential in a sequel. I just don't think Ubisoft in it's current form has the soul for it anymore. It's honestly a little heart breaking. But only a little, as we've obviously had a long, long time to come to terms with the idea that this IP will never revive.
Maybe it’s better to enjoy the memories of a meaningful game than to play the IP if it is revived as some empty, horrible mess with monetization schemes and other anticonsumer practices. Maybe it is like Pet Cemetary… better to let the dead stay dead than be raised to walk again as some soulless, malignant horror that destroys your happy memories just by its existence.
@@draconicfeline6177 I have similar thoughts watching playthroughs of Zelda games, which are pretty similar in design. You won't understand what makes these games special through passive watching, they need to be engaged with. All said though, if you're just not into it then that's that.
@@draconicfeline6177 it's all right. It's very charming in terms of music, visuals and overall presentation and it's a pretty fun little world to explore, but it's not exactly groundbreaking from a gameplay perspective.
I can picture GVMERS and Stop Skeletons from Fighting already writing a script for this one. (And i also sure Crowbat would post not long after the game's launch)
Bro, it's gunna be like a 12 part series. This, Skull and Bones and Star Citizen are all going to offer such fascinating insight into how not to develop a game.
"It has to be perfect" On the one hand this is how games never come out. On the other considering the state of the game industry maybe it's better that it remains in our memories
Yeah, but that would mean actually coming up with *new* ideas and we all know that the AAA space doesn't want to do that. Enjoy your favorite franchises going down in flames :)
Beyond Good and Evil 2 was re-revealed the same E3 as Metroid Prime 4 was announced. In the time since that, Nintendo has released a entirely re-imagined remake of Metroid 2, a brand new Metroid game and a heavily praised remaster of Metroid Prime. Beyond Good and Evil has not had a single release in this time period. Not even any re-release of the first game on modern consoles, AFAIK. The point is, beyond everything else, Ubisoft has done NOTHING with this IP to make up for the game's unending absence.
They are only interested in selling you mtx and nfts. They dont give a fuck about longtime die hard fans when they have the opportunity to grab whales and cryptobros.
It's even more hilarious to bring up Nintendo, the kings of taking forever to release an announced game. I mean, Bayonetta 3 was teased forever ago and it only came out last year. The fact all those games eventually came out and Beyond is still stuck in development hell is quite funny.
I remember seeing these dev blogs and getting all sort of excited for it. It looked amazing. Really a shame. Coming from a gov't background, when I read statements like "through an external third party we are assessing our employees health and welfare", I get very concerned. It may be for the best that a number of the leadership team have left.
This game even being attempted in 2023 is astounding, given that the original came out when I was 14 (I am now 34) and even underperformed commercially upon release. My thought is that if they still insist on developing it, they should revise the whole concept to look and play as if the original developers made a direct sequel that released right at the tail end of the GameCube’s lifecycle in 05/06. This way, they could actually stand a chance at finishing it, and the game could market itself as a kind of retro gaming “what if” release.
A little off topic, but I've kinda taken that stance for Rayman. The series is dead, but I can always replay the old games. If Ubi would care about the series, they would have already assigned a team (other than the occupied Montpellier) to work on a new game, like they did back in 2003.
@Kai Stephens with the way Square is right now, I'm not so sure about that. XD it feels like they have had idiots for a long time running both companies.
@@archersterling6726 Current Ubisoft and past Unisoft are the same. The only difference is we now are aware of the awful work environment. They were doing bad shit and mishandling things back when we were kids and didn't hear about it. The internet has just made us more aware of the abusive work culture there.
It’s super short. Just play it to rip off the bandaid. It’s a good story with an annoyingly open ending, which is why people wanted a sequel for so long. But at this point, I’m better off writing a fanfic.
It's a decent Zelda clone. It's only special because they keep mentioning the vaporware that is the sequel. Not super sure it's worth playing still the controls and camera i imagine would feel really janky.
The first game is such an underrated gem but gained so much traction in the years that followed. Knowing this is a prequel we still won't get answers to the cliffhanger at the end of the first game but, god I don't know what to say.
"Most Underrated" is overused but Beyond Good and Evil 1 really does deserved to be called the most underrated game of all time. It's one of the best Zelda-likes I've ever played.
I played it, it was ok, I think if it had a remaster and updated some things to modern standards it would likely stand out more and reach a new audience. I think remaking the first Beyond Good and Evil would’ve actually been the smart thing to do, then make part 2. Because the second game makes the first one look almost unrecognizable. That’s just my opinion, but I think a remake of BGE1 was absolutely necessary, and that’s more of a missed opportunity than spending nearly 20 years to make a sequel to a game that hardly anyone played.
The push for more tech and tech in the gaming-industry needs to stop. The stakes are now too high. Games need to go back to being easier to make so devs are not super-stressed out, don't have to charge high-prices and can release games in smaller teams in less than three years without killing themselves.
At this point, I'm going to just start my own game development studio and make off-brand spiritual sequels to games/series that the original developers are leaving hanging in the aether. Get ready for Glass Cogs, Together in Light, Roaring Chasm, and, I dunno, Twilight of the Idols for BG&E.
For Twilight of the Idols, it might be neat to make the game look and play a lot like the original BG&E, but have the insane scope of its sequel. AI-assisted Map and Scenario Generation could help a lot. Make an old-looking game the size of a newer game and feel like an old dream gets realized. That's my idea for it anyway. Might be easier with less Shader Tinkering to deal with.
Hearing about crazy stuff hindering a game like this always makes me think about all the stuff we haven't heard about other past games. How many of them also had massive things happens that shifted all during development.
Honestly it feels like it's best to cancel the game and remake the old one, to remind people what the original game was like and bring back the sequel after having a clear goal
@@guilhermehank4938 I know and it stinks, because there is a clear advantage to doing that, renewed interest in a sequel, and remaking he old game for modern hardware will let them test new equipment and with the remake they can see where the story was going and potentially go back to how it originally was supposed to be
Beyond Good and Evil is gonna hit its 20 year anniversary this year in November. For 20 years this sequel has been in the background and gone through so many generations, it's honestly insane to think about.
I’ve been waiting too long for this sequel and it doesn’t even look like something I want anymore. I just wanted Jade to get her effing life back and find out what connection she had to the DomZ and get more fun, photography gameplay. All apparently too much to ask, I guess
Same, i thought to myself "if we actually got psychonauts 2, there must be hope for beyond good and evil 2 as well" but i guess I was wrong. I sure as hell won't keep my hopes up for a new Rayman legends then.
@@bloodeagle6458 Yeah - Not be able to play as Jade was my first big disappointment, followed by "Game As a Service", "always On-Line" and "Multiplayer". The game was dead after that for me, just like I predicted that "Anthem" would drop dead in a short time when I read the same stuff about that game...
@@zerotodona1495 and isn’t that the most ironic thing, too? The original game was brimming with so many different fantasy species that were based off of existing cultures like Jamaicans, Bulgarians and the Chinese. All they had to do was expand on what already existed. This sequel was just a buttload of wasted potential.
I guarantee it had something to do with loot Box mechanics going back-and-forth depending on how the public opinion was... Starting development over and over again from scratch
@JwhateverJ If not going "Live Service" model. Or whatever the Board thinks is the new trend they can exploit. Follow, follow, follow. Never; Lead, innovate, experiment.
Lets all thank the Directors of Ubisoft by giving the green light for Beyond Good And Evil 2 and Skull and Bones. This is pure entertainment gold and lets hold hands together and see Ubisoft burn to death.
I mean are we really gonna thank them for sucking the soul out? The game looked nothing like the original. It was probably going to be a boring, standard ubisoft free roamer with the brand tacked on
This is depressing. I've been waiting for years! BG&E is remembered *fondly* by anyone who played it. Why wouldn't they immediately work on a sequel? It makes no sense.
Because it didn't sell well by witch I mean horrible sales but it seemed to be the head developers passion project but it sounds like he didn't have a plan story or plot for the sequel they just started developing it with just an outline of gameplay but not much else
Tbh I don't think KH4 will take that long, hopefully there are some news during E3/summer game fest time besides ML, truth be told I really wish this game got on a better track but at this point I'm just losing hope not to mention any actual sequel for BG&E
It was revealed in 2019 that this game would be ALWAYS ONLINE which most likely also means LIVE SERVICE. It’s crazy to see the insane hype the 2017 E3 trailer generated and for it all to go up in smoke.
The best thing that could happen to BG&E2 is Ubisoft goes under. Same for Splinter Cell, Assassin’s Creed, Rainbow Six, Rayman, Ghost Recon, and countless other franchises that have been mishandled and/or left in purgatory. And with all the reports of employee abuse, Ubisoft sits atop the throne of worst gaming publisher.
And now the current creative director (after the series creator left) “suddenly died”… this game is fucked. RIP Emile Morel. I’m sure you didn’t deserve what happened.
Unless a game is shadow dropped the majority of games are announced before they are done. What you should say is don’t announce a game before it even has any sort of vision or not in a stable development state or announce it like 10 years before it’s ready lol.
Announcing games before they're ready is fine. In fact, that's literally how you get alpha and beta testers. The issue with BG&E2 is that the development hell is real. Nothing to do with it being announced before being ready.
@@tarille1043 What the poster means is to not announce games when they are early in development/concept stages/not near being in a released state. However some games have been at the 90% complete or even ready to print state and still get cancelled for a multitude of reasons.
@@LeeONardo It's still not a bad idea. As you can get funding from investors and the like from interest in work the company is doing. The announcement of games has literally no impact on their development cycle. The announcement of a release date however does (As it causes crunch and more likely causes an unfinished product to be shipped... See: CP2077). But this is not something that has happened with BG&E2.
Let's be honest. Even if the game was in a good state of development and would release within a few years, with Ubisoft's track record for ruining games either with overused and dated game design tropes, atrocious mismanagement, and/or sheer greed, would we even want whatever hyper-monetized trainwreck they inevitably release? It would be better for everyone if they just cancel the game and stop stringing people along with a false sense of hope. Nothing good will come from a Duke Nukem Forever crown-stealing development cycle, especially not from Ubisoft.
Agreed. This game needs to be turned into a sacrificial lamb and just be killed off already, because I can guarantee that whatever they decide to give us at the end (whenever that would be) will NOT be worth the 15 or 16 year development hell. It boggles my mind that this game has been in development for almost 2 decades, and we still don't have any tangible gameplay (aside from a few cinematic teasers). Beyond Good & Evil 2 is just as dead as Skull & Bones. Ubisoft just needs to cash in their chips and just cancel those 2 games already. Sure they would take a loss at first, but continuing down this rabbit hole of never-ending development hell would insure a bigger loss, especially if these 2 games flop (which is a high possibility as Ubisoft hasn't had a good reputation for several years now).
I hate the term "Made by a modern audience" now since it's been used to death by many a TH-cam, It makes me despise it very much. And oh, I guess this game's never coming out.
Finished high school , got into pre-u then university, got my medical degree and finished my phd this year. I’m also getting engaged and expecting a child yet I’m still waiting for this game?
Over ten years.... well let's remember what happened with Cyberpunk release and taking nearly two years AFTER release to get to a semblance of playability. The same with happen with this game, if it isn't cancelled!! Ubisoft are a shadow of its former self and has nothing much of note to make them the formidable studio they once were. Wouldn't be surprised if they go under soon!!
Think that's kind of obvious considering when it was announced with a trailer that was fairly in keeping with the franchise and then the trailer we saw when it re-emerged
put this into perspective the time in between James Cameron's Avatar movies has taken place between the announcement of Beyond Good and Evil 2 and any possible release date the time in between Beyond Good and Evil two and its original game Batman has had movie reboots four times
I mean it looked nothing like beyond good and evil in style, gameplay, or tone. The project is probably completely directionless. Ubisoft wants a generic open world game, and it was being stuffed into that mold when it had no business being that way
wasn't the studio head or someone else at Ubisoft getting investigated over this? I heard something about that EDIT: Ok, the investigation is stated in this video. Missed that by accident
6:31: Here's what I assume happened: Ancel and team were mostly working on a vertical slice for a long time, understanding for any sort of reasonable development cycle, they'd need this one to be a multi-studio project, like Assassins Creed or Watch_Dogs. But...Montpellier was basically Ubisoft's fringe studio. They were NEVER going to green light a big multi team project with Montpellier in lead position. Why they weren't working on other "smaller, but hype" projects to grow their profile, though? That'll always be the tragedy.
I was just watching something talking about how important preproduction is to a project. Everything about this suggests to me that they didn't really have a plan before announcing they were making this game and continued to not have much for a while after getting developers involved. They really should just pull the dev talent they have off this and move it to something else before they lose them too. Can keep a few people on just to get the planning phase progressing but nothing that could hinder other projects. I really am surprised this wasn't in the round of game cancelations Ubisoft announced a little while back.
Despite the rumors, I actually still respect Michel Ancel for working at the studio for so long. I feel like his behavior that was rumored might’ve been the result of how bad Ubisoft had been treating him at the time. Ubisoft refused to let him make a new Rayman game, so he was just working on games he didn’t want to work on, ones he wasn’t passionate enough to care about. I’m glad he is pursuing wildlife stuff now as that’s definitely a way less stressful hobby to do. I’m not excusing his behavior and how he acted, but hey, we all crack under pressure.
I remember Beyond Good and Evil being sort of a short game. Ambitious, picturesque and inventive, but with limited room to expand for the era it was made in. That said I wouldn’t even have tremendous expectations for a sequel. Just maybe double the amount of tangible content with the same graphical presentation and ship the damn thing. It deserves an expansive world and intricate setting what with the focus on photography, politics/journalism and natural life but at this point just wrap up the damn story with something.
Such a shame with what's happening with Ubisoft, they own some decent franchises, and made some really good games in the past, and i feel like that is where they living because it is becoming harder and harder to remember last good game that they made.
I feel ya. One of the first games i played on my first console (an Xbox) was PoP Warrior Within, it was amazing and i remember that Ubisoft was talked as this inovative studio that created incredible experiences experiences, Rayman, PoP, Splinter Cell, etc. At that time a Ubisoft game was a Quality game not unlike A From Software/Imsomniac game. Sad that Ubisoft has really fallen from grace.
A year ago I picked up a copy of Beyond Good and Evil because the concept seemed really interesting to me. I’m planning on playing it along with a couple of other titles like Abe’s odyssey and the first Tomb Raider. But I was literally wondering this a couple of months ago when the sequel was coming out. I’m glad to finally get a little bit more closure on the development.
Off topic, but I read an article as to why Across the Spiderverse keeps on getting delayed, and that was due to the directors making random decisions and changes that also caused the budget to increase. I still think that the movie will be great, but it's worth pointing out the trend in modern entertainment on how projects take DECADES of development either because of production issues, lack of vision, or lack of passion. This trend REALLY needs to stop.
I was excited when the 2017 trailer dropped, even joined that Space Monkey program thing for updates. But I lost interest when I saw they were making it a generic Third Person Shooter and also a prequel, why take one of the best stealth/action games that fans have been wanting a sequel to for nearly 20 years and make it a dumb shooter? Really disappointed tbh. Hype killing the game before it’s even released has gotta be an out of touch developer record.
Someone probably already mentioned this, but the original Beyond Good and Evil is turning twenty this year. That means peeps born that year have graduated high school. Some of them are parents now. Twenty years between direct sequels is just absurd.
@@LeeONardo True, but Streets of Rage 4 didn't go into development right after 3. It was the follow-up to a dormant franchise, not a project stuck in development hell for 25 years.
I still can remember being exited when the development of Beyond Good & Evil 2 was announced. I really liked the first game, so I was like: "oh man, i can't wait until it will be released". Of course the radio silence after that was a bit troublesome and the game traveled to the back of my mind. Then came that great trailer, but with details that made me very sad. It was announced as a "Game As A Service", "Always on-line", "Multiplayer" project. I immediately got that sinking feeling in my guts, and realized that I probably won't play this sequel. To be honest - I lost all my interest in this game, and chalked it up as another game where the sequel will not live up to the original. After that I stopped caring about it, and I really don't know anything about the status anymore. Is it still following the "Anthem Route" as a GAS, only On-Line, Multiplayer piece of garbage? I don't know. And I don't know if I care any longer. To be honest, nowadays I am more interested in the JRPG "scene" (like the "Legend Of Heroes", "Ys" and "Atelier" series and "Tales of Arise" to name a few), because the Western AAA titles are more about monetization than game-play anyway (a pleasant surprise was Hogwarts Legacy however, but those games are rare these times). Anyway - I don't think Beyond Good & Evil 2 will go anywhere any time soon, and I don't know if I even care about that at all...
I think the site that was started by Jason Gordon Leavitt was still accepting different assets to be considered for addition into the game. Not sure what will happen with all those assets at this point.
Its strange, things seem to have progressed fine for a while until they hit a hard roadblock. Controversies aside, i wonder what could have caused it. If you have a clear vision of what you want to make with a realistic scope, then the project should go on just fine, maybe the lack of that is the problem.
This has to be some kind of charade for stock market shareholders. I mean an e3 press kit when the main character's voice actor was in declining health? That was my first huge red flag. Something just isn't adding up.
They have to release something. To be one of the devs on this dumpster fire must be insane. Imagine spending 15 years on a project only to leave after all that time and than not have anything to put on your resume. Couldn't even imagine how these guys feel.
We've managed to have two Avatars, at least three Terminators and basically the entire MCU up to this point in the time it's taken to not start full development yet. And there was me thinking the Skull and Bones situation was a bit of a farce
Honestly just cancel the game at this point and save a lot of talented devs from the misery on working hard on something that may never see the light of day. At this rate I just don't see this game ever coming out, or at least coming out in good condition. This feels like the mother of all development hells.

Ubisoft in 2010: "We are taking our time because we want this game to be perfect!"
Considering this was back when Ubisoft COULD make good games and actually get them out to market, I'm both curious and worried to know just exactly what's going on over there...
One of the worst examples of mismanagement.
Abuse probably

You should applied for a job at Ubisoft, you'll fit right in!
How this game hasn’t been canceled after all this nonsense is beyond me…
Good one
Ubisucks geniuses are so depressed to cancel what they planned for years 😂
They are apparently (from what I heard) under an obligation to not be able to cancel this game cause money for development came from some company, and if they do, they can be sued by them (not sure if it's true or not)

@@ColdHawk That is my thoughts on it too, unfortunately.
Is it really that good? I'm watching a blind let's play and it's honestly striking me as underwhelming on all counts.

Piracy is the way.
The concept of this game existing truly is beyond good and evil
See what you did there.

I hope every fan of the original realises the dream we had will never become reality. Let's appreciate the memories we have and move on. This is over.
Noooooooooi
its the best you can do. If this game comes out it will be terrible.
A little off topic, but I've kinda taken that stance for Rayman. The series is dead, but I can always replay the old games.
If Ubi would care about the series, they would have already assigned a team (other than the occupied Montpellier) to work on a new game, like they did back in 2003.
I mean, what we’ve last seen of the game doesn’t resemble the original in the slightest, and if that’s how it’s gonna be then what’s the point?

I got it for free with xbox gold a few years ago. Can't say it's one of my favorite games, but it's certainly memorable and worth playing.
It's a decent Zelda clone. It's only special because they keep mentioning the vaporware that is the sequel. Not super sure it's worth playing still the controls and camera i imagine would feel really janky.
To be fair it doesn't like they have even started BGE2 ;)
The first game is such an underrated gem but gained so much traction in the years that followed. Knowing this is a prequel we still won't get answers to the cliffhanger at the end of the first game but, god I don't know what to say.
"Most Underrated" is overused but Beyond Good and Evil 1 really does deserved to be called the most underrated game of all time. It's one of the best Zelda-likes I've ever played.
Really? I tried it and got bored of the peter parker picture taking. Yawn.
It's the most underrated overrated game.
I've heard so many people praise it but I've seen nothing about it
I played it, it was ok, I think if it had a remaster and updated some things to modern standards it would likely stand out more and reach a new audience.

Once more from the diaphragm:
NEVER announce games before they are ready
Most games are announced before they are ready though, technically.

15 years of developing and nothing to show….
Who do they think they are, Star Citizen?

It probably started out as a classic single player game and executives turned it into live service
Think that's kind of obvious considering when it was announced with a trailer that was fairly in keeping with the franchise and then the trailer we saw when it re-emerged
put this into perspective
the time in between James Cameron's Avatar movies has taken place between the announcement of Beyond Good and Evil 2 and any possible release date
the time in between Beyond Good and Evil two and its original game Batman has had movie reboots four times
The games industry has never been worse. Truly.
I think it’s sink or swimming time.
I heard something about that
EDIT: Ok, the investigation is stated in this video.
Keep up the good work man!
What worries me is that Michel Ancel had said he did want to go back to 3D Rayman games but AFTER Beyond Good and Evil 2 and WiLD...-
I got into school
Heard about the game in 2012
Graduated highschool in 2020
Now in my third year in college it's still in early development 😂
The whole "game" is a ploy to get investor money. That's it.
How does Yves still have control of Ubisoft, how many failures do they meed before the chairs just say fuck off and get a new CEO.
The expectations, mismanagement, and hopelessness of this game's future is truly beyond good and evil.
It’s so good and Evil that it can’t see beyond to set a launch date.

Beyond good and evil 2 devs: ok we're finally releasing the game for the ps4 and xbox one.
Rest of the world: but we have PS7 and Xbox two series Z
I think the site that was started by Jason Gordon Leavitt was still accepting different assets to be considered for addition into the game. Not sure what will happen with all those assets at this point.
I am now a legal adult and beyond good and evil 2 has been in development for the majority of my lifetime
Its strange, things seem to have progressed fine for a while until they hit a hard roadblock. Controversies aside, i wonder what could have caused it. If you have a clear vision of what you want to make with a realistic scope, then the project should go on just fine, maybe the lack of that is the problem.
This isn't Development Hell, this is Development Purgatory.
Boy oh boy, looks like Half-Life 3 and Star Citizen now have a new roommate!
Man it always felt like a small amount of people were hyped for this game for years, I had no idea it's been in development for that long.
We've managed to have two Avatars, at least three Terminators and basically the entire MCU up to this point in the time it's taken to not start full development yet.
And there was me thinking the Skull and Bones situation was a bit of a farce
That's giving me the vibe of a kickstarter scam-project, not a big Ubiso - - -
Okay, nevermind, it fits Ubisoft's Profile lolz
My wife gave birth to two of our children since the E3 trailer was released. Maybe when they're in college it will be out.
