So, I rewatched this video prior to using a color corrector, just to make sure I applied it correctly. I must say, it really worked well for my dark circles! It then allowed for the concealer to work as a brightener, but without looking like reverse racoon eyes. Your tips and tricks never cease to amaze me! Thank you so much for always being detailed in your tutorials! ❤️
I loved this color-corrector video! It has really helped me to improve the appearance of my overall look. It really gets rid of dark circles. I don't have a severe problem with dark circles, but it just brightens up my face and makes me look a little younger. Mature skin needs a little something extra to look good anyway. You are teaching me so much! I am doing much better with my makeup application; however, I need some remediation with eye shadow and eyeliner. I am learning that I am indeed mechanically challenged. It's official now. Eyeliner application has always been a problem for me, so I have always used a little pencil eyeliner and smudged it, trying to keep it as thin as possible. I don't think I look good with overly defined eyeliner anyway. The important thing is that my overall look is improving. I am learning so much from you. Thank you for all you do!
FANTASTIC technique. I will get the orange color corrector and use this technique going forward. This will help me simplify my coverage process 100%. Thanks Nina
Although my complexion is much darker than yours, I've learned so much from you! I have a "mustache and goatee" type hyper-pigmentation that I had no luck in color correcting and then applying foundation. Your complete explanation of how to attain perfection is so greatly appreciated!
Holy smoke!! I bought couple months ago color correcting palette from nyx, trying to minimize my makeup on base. I have NEVER thought to use sponge, deffinitely going to try this tomorrow morning 😍😍❤
You are awesome! I was at Sephora the other day and I was looking for a new concealer to hide my dark circles. The man who helped me suggested a color corrector and I didn't want to buy anything knowing that I wasn't sure how it works and which colors to apply where. Your video was clear and very helpful. I think I'll get myself some color correctors now! :)
This was an excellent video. I only ever worried having 2 colour corrector Charlotte Tillbury’s under eye corrector in medium which is in peach (lighter) than yours and the green for redness which I have a lot of. The way you teach us Nina is so easy to understand and follow without overthinking everything. Thank you Nina for all that you do and all that you teach us. 💕💕
Thank you for this video! I have a darker skin tone and, by default, my undereye circles are very dark. I'm definitely going to try color correcting before concealer in hopes that it helps hide them better than concealer alone. 🥰
Yes to all the colors of correctors. That way we can understand which colors help with what we’re trying to cover. I was aware of the green and orange one but not the other colors. A video from a pro would be much appreciated. 🥰
Thank you bella Nina 🥰 I learned how to properly use color corrector. I have redness on my face so I know now to buy green color corrector thank you so much again for all your teachings and tutorials God bless ⭐✨✨💄😃😃
Hi I really liked this video! Couple questions: 1. Can I use this technique on mature skin without underpainting? 2. Can I use this technique using a brush for my foundation? 3. What are the best color correctors for mature skin when using medium coverage foundation? Thanks! ❤️
Nina, you look fabulous! Love your hair with the waves too! Thank you so much for making this video. Since becoming a mom that was my biggest struggle while doing make up :) !
I've learned so much from following you. The new techniques have helped the longevity of my make up. Concealer has been my new best friend for doing the "heavy lifting" in the routine. With mature skin I don't want to use so much foundation, and using corrector and concealer has really helped with that. The Nars concealer in the pot really disguises hyperpigmentation, so I can use less foundation. Always corrector under the eyes (I like the Nars under eye corrector and CT for that). On another note, you look like a football linebacker ready for the big game with that huge under eye mask! Nonetheless cute, but ready for the game. XXOO
Coral/Salmon color. Melasma has a little green/yellow and coral/salmon is peach with a tiny bit of red-pink. Keep in mind your skin shade (Light, light-med, med, med-deep, deep) You want it to be right shade-level. (Light-medium shade of coral for light-med skin, for example.) You can mix to get your correct shade and lightness,/darkness.
@@NinaUbhi1 is there an orange corector that is good for fair skin? I do have the MAC palette and will try it! Thank you for your reply! Xoxo from Israel
Thank you for doing this video! The color corrector seems to have really brighter your eyes. I going to see if I can find the moisturizer that you used. I think it would have been helpful to see one side with the corrector and one with out. I was curious as far as skin care, maybe I missed it in one of your videos? Do you exfoliate? If so, what product do you recommend and how often? I truly appreciate these educational videos. They have helped me so much. Love them! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you, Nina. This was extremely helpful and timely. I was just thinking this morning that I need to purchase a good color corrector. Thank you so much.
Great video. Thanks for sharing! Can you please tell if we have to use concealer according to our skin tone or do we need lighter shade to cover the orange corrector?
I really think this orange works great for you, because it's mixing with your concealer. (Making it peachier.) If you wore only a medium coverage foundation, the orange would likely pop through the veil. I think you would really like the NARS, corrector in shade, Medium. It's an orange that leans slightly peachy 🍊+🍊 + 🍑 But no sponge, just tap-blend with fingers.😁
Please show how to have smooth undereyes without the wrinkles or cakeyness. I tried to do it,even set it with the charlotte tilbury, but obviously something is wrong,or I need filler. Ugh my internet was out in our area due to storms and we don’t have very good service where I live! I couldn’t watch anything! Love these videos because I think a lot of people are scared to use a darker peach/orange shade when it would look great on them as it does you! 👍❤️
Your hair is so beautiful! I love the color and how you've styled it! Do you think the brand of color corrector makes a difference? I use the color corrector palette by NYX and found the peace and orange to not cover my undereye circles and when I put on more there's just too much product and it looks cakey. Just wondering if I should invest in a MUFE or Charlotte Tillbury color corrector. Thank you for all your help. Peace and Love ☮️❤
Great video! I have a developed a problem with puffiness under my eyes that also are somewhat dark. Does the color corrector help with puffiness or make it worse? I am also going to try your foundation. It looks wonderful! Thanks
Your hair looks so pretty today. I'm curious, what if I have both redness and darkness under my eyes? Also what prevents the light colored concealer from turning peach from the orange color underneath? Sorry for so many questions. It was very informative so now I want to try it.
I'm a guy with very bad dark circles. I tried both the color corrector and then on top of that I used eye concealer. I noticed that the when I put the eye concealer on, it makes me look like a clown. When I just use the color corrector on it's own, it looks more natural. I think I'm just going to put on the color corrector and that's it. I don't care if my dark circles are completely gone. If it reduced enough, that's all I care about.
Hi Nina I have salo skin so which shade should I use under my eyes which power do I use for my dark circles under my eyes .thank you I love all off your videos and the the way you do the natural make up which I love so much iam huge fan off you Nina. Love Sonya from Ireland. Xx
try a lavender color corrector, it brightens sallow skin. As for your dark circles, it depends on 2 factors, what is your skin tone, and what is the color of the discoloration. You're from Ireland....so perhaps you have lighter skin? I feel like lighter skinned people tend to have a more blue/purple tone under their eyes, in which case a yellow color corrector or a pale peach corrector would work well to cover those. Theres a million peachy color correcting products to choose from, and not to scare you.... but they are all different shades and meant for different skin tones/under tones. Some formulas are cooler pinky peach tones, and some have warm yellow undertones so the best way to figure out is to just try different things and see what works for you. Everyone's skin is so different, so it's hard to tell what will work for you unless you try! But generally pastels work best for lighter skin (like the NYX CC pallet), slighter darker tones for medium skin (like the Kiko Milano pallet), and I want to say basically almost bright jewel type tones for darker skin (which L.A. Girl and Kokie Cosmetics seem to have a variety). I hope that helps somewhat! CC is very trial and error, so don't feel bad if its confusing.
I wish there was a tutorial for women with PCOS and how to color correct that kind of darkness. Ive tried different things but would like to see someone elses methods ❤
Saw someone asked this question and you have not answered I really want to know too:what if I have both redness and darkness under my eyes? Also what prevents the light colored concealer from turning peach from the orange color underneath? Thanks!
To be honest, a good concealer like Tarte shape tape should cover your darkness - I only recommend using orange colour corrector if you have severe dark circles. If you use an opaque concealer on top it shouldn't turn peach. Plus the colour corrector should be opaque too so that it doesn't mix in easily when you apply concealer
