I am a blender guy but unreal is growing on me recently. They are doing some neat stuff. This video was like dipping a toe in the water thank you. Fun simple and lighthearted.
Well, cool way to create some scrapbook ideas for scenes, but i must say i was a little bit dissepointed. Smell a little bit click bait here to be honest. I really expected to see a plugin for Midjourney or OpenAI that would more or less create a scene for you in unreal. Could be possible someday if the AI knows how to use all the tools, and have access to the content in you project.
@Sir.unreal. may I ask you how to export something from unreal, for example, grass as the green screen? And use only that in some other program? I can't find that anywhere only how to import the green screen not how to export. Actually, I just need grass. please help. Thank you in advance
@@tanyasubaBg Hi Tanya! Hm so let me try to understand; Do you want to add grass behind a greenscreen in Unreal Engine and then export that scene to any other program? If so you could for example add a cube and put a green image on it (Or perhaps Blue is better, as grass is green), and then spawn grass in-front of the blue/green cube with the framing that you want. Record your screen with "OBS" and then you would have a movie file with the grass in-front of the blue/green screen that you could manipulate in other software. Another way to do it is by using the sequencer and exporting a movie file directly from Unreal Engine. I partly show how to use the sequencer here th-cam.com/video/OEfV3RRpmRE/w-d-xo.html Did I understand this correct? Or do you want to export the grass as a 3D model?
Best tutorial ever!! Simple and usefull!! I'm starting with metahumans and I was looking for some kind of scenario!! Exactly what I'm looking for!! Thankkkkkkkkx a lot!
This is awesome. Thanks for having no long intro and thanks for the brisk pace of info - was not a struggle to sit through unlike 90% of current tutorials out there. Really impressive. If you resist the trend to have a clickbait facial expression on your thumbnail I'll subscribe for a long time.
if water body ocean doesn't show up for anyone, i had to update unreal from 5 to 5.2, edit>plugins>search 'water' and add both options, restart UE5, then click the fix option at the end of the sentence when the code error comes up, and restart again thanks for the quick tutorial, i subbed
what really bothers me, is that there are so many UE Tutorials, where the tutor mentions certain buttons to change between "rotate, scale, move" of the gizmo or even using the icons on the top right, when you can just cycle through those 3 options with the SPACEBAR, which is 10x faster.
beautiful video, intuitive and practical, first time trying UE5 and thanks to you I was able to combine something, is it possible to export the work to publish it on Instagram and various social networks? if yes, could you tell me how to do it?
That makes me so happy to hear Zena! The purpose of the video was for creators like you to take a first step into UE5. Yes easiest is to press F11 for fullscreen and record your screen with for example “OBS” and export it as a small movie file which you can upload to any social media. Alternatively you can create a movie clip in “sequencer” and export it from there directly (TH-cam “how to export from sequencer UE5” for this method) Keep creating!
When you go far enough, you'll just run into a flat image at the end. Would have been cooler if the scene in the image was reconstructed so that it isn't just a flat image when you finally reach it but instead can continue on forward just like a real 3D environment.
Why do people always have to tear someone down? He is showing a process that COULD lead to a completely 3D project using the midjourney output as a kind of template or inspiration allowing you to build a 3D project with visual guidelines. I think it is a useful short tutorial that may get some people to open up Unreal Engine for the very first time. That kind of thing can change someone’s artistic path. Well done! 4:36

That's great! But 10 months later.. can AI just take an image and automate the downloading, selecting, placing and scaling itself to try to match the original AI generate image and create the whole scene, with effects, all by itself? Maybe, yes, not yet? I don't see why this isn't possible!
Thank you for the video, I learned some interesting things, what I didn't understand though, after building the scene the way I like it, how can I export it as a short video?

Thank you for the tutorial... But actually, I don't see much point in taking an AI-generated image to 3D like in this case. It's preferable to build this directly in Unreal. It would only be using a 'background'..
Hi AleRender, cheers for the feedback. The point is to inspire new users to Unreal Engine and keeping things simple, using an AI-generated image as a reference can help the imagination. Personally I've also found some real use-cases for midjourney images which I'll cover in the next tutorial :)
Drag and dropping the image isn't working for me on 5.2. It's showing black, and auto making a blank material. edit: connect normal node, also adding an emissive multiply helps.
Hi was wondering if you could help me? When add the water body ocean I cannot see the water itself it doesn't load up the same as you show is there a way around this? Thanks
Hi Benha! Sure, So you added the water body ocean? Make sure of this by opening your "Outliner" and search for it. If it appears in the list then it's added to the world. Try to locate where it went by selecting the water in the outliner and see where the arrows are (selection gizmo) if you can't see the arrows, press "G" on your keyboard. Try to travel to it with your camera and drag the water around until it appears in-front of your camera.

Amazing content Sir! Glad TH-cam recommended me this channel!
Thank you 3DComparison!
This is not image to 3d, this is image to background. There are tools which create 3d models from image
What tools?
Kaedim (AI "assisted" tool), 3Dify
@@Dannykim722 None of those tools work with Midjourney images, you're wrong.
