My idea this time was like "let's get her so immersed with the story without fantasy elements that when those elements appear she is too into it to find it weird xD" It is one of my top favourite movies for sure!
Wow! You are a lucky man to have such a perceptive girlfriend. Lucia picks up on all of the nuances presented and makes comments that are right on the money!
You are brilliant at picking up on the clues. Like, detective level brilliant. I’ll have to check if you’ve reacted to some of the other movies with big twist endings. Very perceptive.
A couple of underappreciated Tom Hanks gems are the one where he played a gangster in _The Road To Perdition_ and the one where he played the late great Fred Rogers in _Mr Roger's Neighborhood._ First time visitor to the channel, going to sub up because I enjoy watching sane and thoughtful reactions. Can't wait to see the second part of this I know she's going to cry even though she's going to probably try not to LOL. This movie can break a Special Forces Marine down to tears, 😆. Nice meeting you guys much love and happy New Year to you and yours.
Thank you 😊 happy new year for you too! I still haven't seen Mr Rogers neighborhood, but Road to Perdition is really, really good. Amazing cinematography and soundtrack 👌🏻
I love your girlfriends reactions because she is so insightful:) she catches onto themes and characters so quickly. She’s very perceptive:) it’s fun to watch movies with her! (Even if I have seen them before!) I think this movie was a good “fantasy” pick for her to meet her halfway:)
1. YOU WILL CRY 2. Dabbs Greer/old Paul was ill during production, so his part was done later. He also played Reverend Alden on "Little House on the Prairie". 3. Hammersmith was not a good lawyer. (most likely a racial thing. It was 1935.) 4. In the book King briefly covers why the Chief and Del are on death row. 5. This movie was nominated for Best Supporting Actor and Best Cast but unfortunately neither won.😭😭 6. Players in other King adaptations: Jeffery DeMunn: Shawshank Redemption, The Mist, Storm of the Century and William Sadler: Shawshank Redemption, The Mist. David Morse: The Langoliers. Patricia Clarkson played Margarat White in King's remake of "Carrie". Needless to say, it was a much different part.
I do recognized a lot of the actors from other King's adaptations. But in a way I think its also because the director (Frank Darabont) has directed multiple King's adaptations xD He's quite good at it :p
I think your girlfriend and you would really enjoy reacting to the short series Chernobyl...if you have not seen it yet. It is not the most uplifting series to watch, but it is quite gripping, and there is not a hint of fantasy anywhere in sight...unless you include the Soviet Union as a fantasy, that is. ✌🖖
The working title of this movie was "The Green & Yellow Mile." Can't think of another movie with so much urine in it. Of course Tom Hanks got the role because of his "performance" in "A League of Their Own."
Probably the first and only time I will ever hear a girl say "My penis is burning out!" I don't know wtf that even means but now im scared it could happen to me..😑
I do not think that she will be disappointed in her hope that this be an "interesting" movie. LOL I think that she will be more than satisfied in that regard. 😁💯
Something that many may not recognize is that the whole story is contigent upon the handshake between John Coffey and Paul when they first meet. She was really quick to catch on about Coffey's innocence, and what he meant by "take it back'"(before he even used that phrase a second time)👍
Welcome back Alan! I will try to crank up the speed at which I upload our videos, but this was quite a chaotic time (christmas + new year), less time to edit 😔 But I think (hope) you'll enjoy the rest of the reaction though :) any suggestion for a future reaction?
@@ptthatswhatshesaid I have three suggestions, "Hacksaw Ridge" is better than "Private Ryan" and it's a real true story that will amaze you! "Stand By Me" is an all time favorite coming of age tale, and "Tombstone" is a very entertaining western about the gunfight at the O.K. Corral. Val Kilmer will steal your heart in that one! Thank you for asking, I believe you'll agree with with them all.👍
@@alanh.7668 "Stand by me" and "Tombstone" seem very interesting (I haven't watched them neither :p), but Hacksaw Ridge is literally her favourite movie of all time! xD she sees it at least once a year!
@@ptthatswhatshesaid OK, that's my favorite war movie👍 Has she seen "JoJo Rabbit"? or "An American Werewolf In London" "? " JoJo" is about a young boy who idolizes Hitler but learns some very serious lessons. "Werewolf" is a great horror/comedy with an incredible transformation seen. And a killer soundtrack! Let me know if those are viable, if you get time. Honorable mention "The Thing", maybe the best practical effects of all time! "1980's version, there are two, one is older, you want the 80's one starring Kurt Russell. Sorry so long, I don't get asked enough!😉
Please react to classic movie Baby Days Out (1994) .. such a underrated funniest movie ever .. so far not many youtuber react to it .. its so refresh, funny, loving movie to be watch

From her reading of the poster, she is borderline genius! And I'm not into fantasy movies either 😉 but this is one of the best movies of all time.

Most of the times she gets things right yes (but not always! 😂)
Connection between the correction officer and the inmates. Yes especially since the inmates are on death row for years awaiting appeals.

Its annoying how she almost never get surprised xD what do you suggest as movies with nice twists for me to show her? 🤔
@@ptthatswhatshesaid The Usual Suspects and The Sixth Sense are both excellent movies with twists
