Cool movie review/behind the scenes, though the middle of this video with the directors talking with cameramen/actors/etc. was a little boring, maybe if the transitions flowed into each other instead of going black several seconds throughout the whole thing.

re watched the movie for the third or fourth time. I Never cared much for WoW in particular because MMORPGs are terrible and I find this movie more successfully brought me into Azeroth.
The Orcs was by far the best thing of the entire movie. The Humans felt very underwhelming and bland to me, and it's like Travis Fimmel just came off the set of Vikings which bothered me as it was hard to get immersed with his character. But really most of the Humans need to up their game towards something like LotR, then they will match the Orcs better. And there's more nitpicky stuff I won't mention, I give it a 6-7/10
The best part of the movie was the orcs, they're fantasy so they're allowed to say ridiculous things in their deep voices, but when the humans, and even garona, said cliche-fantasy lines, it sounded so damn stupid.
The problem is in the movement of the orcs. Look how an actual 7 ft person like Andre the Giant moves. All that mass. But you have average size humans doing the body motion capture here and they translate it to these massive cg models but they don't move with realistic weight, they seem too light. It's what makes them stop short of believability in our eyes
Everything was great about the movie except the casting choice for the mages. American accents just don't fit fantasy movies. That kid Mage was fucking awful. It was like they gave a LARPer an acting job.
I think that's what I unintentionally loved about it. It was just completely following its own rules. One of the first high fantasy movies I've ever scene that didn't act like medieval Europe. It was entirely unique and so amazingly accomplished and realized.
He is ment to be annoying, that is how he was before he was cursed with age and frailty, we will HOPEFULLY see an other Khadgar in the next movie (if there is going to be one) since he becomes cursed after the fight against Medivh.
Yeah, wished he would be like Khadgar in Draenor. Ofc WoD wasn't that great of an expansion with all the lack of content, but Khadgar was awesome - both in looks and his comments
The game comes alive to the movie but the movie is ok this is the last movie there ever made hopefully we're gana see "warcraft 2 Kingdom of War!" I just made that at. I can see baby orc grow older becomes a leader and a warrior who lead the humans to war.
If only they had touched on a few more raves and classes i would have been thrilled.......still anyone that plays the gme knows they did a great job with sets and weapons etc etc. I hope they make another one....fuck the critics
Did not like the script! Killing the most interesting character half way thru, it's so typical of Hollywood these days. The "KILL THEM ALL" mentality. Loved everything else. Would have liked to see more of the female orcs in action.

The game's artwork shows human males with muscles as bigger than their thighs so...they might need to CGI-ify the actors.
