Great idea to use double sided tape to hold them whilst painting. 😊

Yes it’s something I’ve seen others do, so not an original idea. Glad I can pass the tip on further though. 😊

These are some amazing techniques for scratchbuilding doors and windows. I love how you’ve created the layers for each piece and didn’t go for a flat build. Obviously it takes more time to do it that way but the end result is always satisfying. Cheers! Kaustav

Thanks, it’s a bigger project than I thought both in size and complexity. But I’m enjoying the process!

Can I use tacky foam glue to glue the polystyrene strips onto the clear plastic pieces too?

You could try - it’s not going to be as strong so won’t work if the model will be handled. But it might be fine for a display model. There’s also canopy glue which many modellers use for gluing clear plastic as it doesn’t fog or damage the clear plastic sheets. I need to get some of that one day.

For future reference, all windows in Japan have mosquito nets(often black) in front of them..... That is what you understandebly thought of as boards

Thank you, that’s good to know. At 1:48 I’m not sure if I could even accurately model the texture of the mosquito screen.
