Thanks for this great video! I've had my CSM for a few months and I'm just at the point where I am actually cranking socks without dropping stitches! I learned a lot from this video - can't wait to try the picot edge!!!❤
Thank you for this video! I’ve watched so many heel videos but never made it through a whole heel. I watched your video through once and then cast on my sock and followed along… I ended up with a sock!!! Flubbed the first try on the second sock, but the second try worked and now I have a pair. I did hand knit my toes but otherwise, a great success! Your pace is perfect to follow along with. Thank you again!!!
Thank you so much for your cranking videos. I am very new to cranking socks on my Dean and Bean sock machine. You have helped me so much. You make it look so easy. But I am working on it. Thank you again
Great demo Aquilla! I like how you did a couple of rows of the contrasting colour before starting the toe. Such a great idea! I always change change colour for the heels and toes at the 6:00 mark before starting them and I always have the obvious joining point. How do you change colour on the heel?
I am glad it is helpful. The pick came with my machine. But you can buy them from Erlbacher. They are made by Addi, so you might be able to search and find them other places too
Thank you again! I so appreciate your vidéos they really help me to watch the sequence over and over! I will get thèse heels down lol! Btw… how do you wind your yarn onto cones? I bought a cone to fit on my yarn winder but it doesn’t work…it just flys off. Maybe it’s me!
Also you are very welcome! And you will definitely get the heels, just be patient with yourself. Here is the video on showing my drill and attachment. th-cam.com/video/hrNgeSSStxA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=EejuEJprnltX4Lo2

So cool.

newbie question...I have 3 heel weights. Looks like you are using 2. Just wondering. Love the video and repetition!
I use all 3 everytime. One right in the center. The other two under the sides of the Heels.
This is so helpful! Appreciate the real time and repetition…
Where does your red handled pick tool come from?
I am glad it is helpful. The pick came with my machine. But you can buy them from Erlbacher. They are made by Addi, so you might be able to search and find them other places too
What is causing dropped stitches at corners of heel? What do you do to prevent it? Does the 1 up, 2 down help avoid the problem?
Dropping at corners usually means not enough downward pressure. adjusting your forks to always stay below the stitches that are still in work is key

I use a drill with a cone attachment. It's like a rubber stopper.
Also you are very welcome! And you will definitely get the heels, just be patient with yourself.
