They already had this files way earlier than us.
I've spoken with the guy who obtained these and he has claimed these were in private circulation between Cobalt and another team many months prior to the leak happening.
i didn’t realise you were talking about the mod i just thought you were hating on the animations and literally everyone was agreeing

I think the animation at 2:00 was used in the game. But in the German version. Because of censorship in that version, ever time you "Kill" a scientist, they just sit down and shake their head just like that.

7:56 I always found the cut to black at the end of Apprehension so jarring. Wish this was kept but I can get why it was cut (the player's POV camera).
Most of these animations look like a bowling alley strike.

I can recognize many of these that made it to the final game. Damn i wonder how much there's still uncovered
Man seeing all these animations it's amazing how alive this game is
Cool thing is many of these actually were used in the final game, probably cuz of the crazy development cicle at valve on their start, its a weird contrast bettwen quirky and realistic, but at the end I'm just glad the guys only included what they felt like was necessary for the game, like the animation for the scientist getting eletrocuted that they didnt use, they noticed how not everything in game needed to be introducted by a character, not everything has to be obvious, the best thing a game can do is let the player discover, explore and figure out things by himself.

@@LMC764 there were too many engine limitations in source 2, so they changed to the 25th anniversary goldsrc as it is newer

we never see the tough sides of the scientists like this. they are old, studious people who have been caught off-guard in a horrible catastrophe that is making victims of even cockroaches. they jump out of windows, pull eachoter into vents, roam a dangerous and hostile facility by themselves, alone, in the cold.

@@Spartan_TannerYou could say it does use cut content, as many elements shown in Uplink did not appear in the Real game
Now I get it, Gordon freeman was meant to be the trainer for the hazard levels (whatever it's fucking called) instead of the silhouette (also someone should make a black mesa mod that bases around the HL alpha)
Many of these look so lifelike. I know that VALVe cut them for reasons, but I think adding some of these would have made the game feel more alive and also given room for some more interesting scripted sequences
